A Let's Play of Processing Area (TNT Evilution, Map17) for the PC, played through GZDoom, on the Man And A Half difficulty setting. This is played through Project Brutality (Staging). Compatibility Setting set to Default. 100% Kills, 100% Items, and 100% Secrets. The goal is not to die a single time in this playthrough.

Hey BMD I just wanted to reiterate here what I said on your quake 2 chat live stream. I had mentioned during your time looking for the dopefish that I was using your stream to celebrate 200 days of sobriety. I wanted you to see it in your chat but I assumed it got pushed aside by others. Nevertheless, I saw that your community was very supportive and happy that I’m doing well. I’m glad that I can live a sober life free of alcohol. Just wanted to say it here knowing your community is not judgy.
Congrats! That's not an easy thing to do, but 200 days is wildly impressive. Every day is a milestone, but it's the major ones like these that keep you going. Keep up the good work.

@@BigMacDavis Thank you so much BMD for your heartfelt response. The hardest part for me was admitting I am an alcoholic and I needed help. Your videos and streams really helped me during my drinking phases and I"m so happy I could tell you this after all this time.

Oh, this map is a breeze on Ultra-violence I usually don't watch a walkthrough until I found everything or can't find Something, but yeah, it's good stuff.
Ooohhh, I remember this one! I really like the design, the layout reminds me a lot of the night-operating high school where my mom used to work as the principal, and also where my dad worked as one of the linguistics professors. It also has similarities with the party complex where they celebrated their retirement in March 2008, and that was also during night (I admit I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped because I was very nervous -- I was going to have a difficult quantum physics exam XD)
So when I played this map for the first time, I imagined I was transported to those days... well, nights, haha!

Yes a lot of fun with all the PB weapons like the cryo rifle, light machine gun, nailgun, and flamethrower. Hopefully you can get to 1000 health from all the hitscanners using the cryo rifle. In PB let's see if you have an advantage doing Mount ✈with all these extra tools in your possession. I hope you can go through the last third of TNT with fewer problems than in vanilla Doom gameplay.
Oh, then the next map starts some problems I have. If you read my comments on the videos leading up to this point, I sound like a big TNT defender; justifiably, because I think all of TNT up till this point is very decent. There are still some good maps up ahead, namely most of the remaining short or medium length maps excluding Habitat. But around Mill or Central Processing is usually where I drop much of my defence of TNT. I have a bad history with long or ultra-long maps in the classic Doom engine (exceptions are the colorful total conversion attempts like Golden Souls or Ashes, or much newer Doom mods in the 2020s). Especially if they are made with the same brown or gray textures and are bland. I am more of a fan of later franchises, where you can say the environment is more detailed because of technology and advances; and I even like all the long drawn-out levels in the two newer Doom games. But I get so much of a headache from the really long maps in old Doom mods that are so repetitive and so bland. It burns me out so bad, for a long time until recently I used to distrust anything long in the classic Doom engine
Yup, Central Processing and Baron's Den come to mind.
@@BigMacDavis Yes, although I will say that the ending to Central Processing, hiking up the hills to the exit, is a little bearable because it's Map 20 and still uses the night sky, the night sky is one of the best sky textures in a Doom mod.

@@BigMacDavis Okay, as you know in the map Habitat you don't need any of the keys to exit. What if you go straight to the exit (when the demons surrounding it are all locked up), mine it with those sticky things. Then continue with the map as usual. Then, when you pick up the Red key...KABLAM! 😁
@@Batgirl_fangirl That's a great idea! Only problem is they have a built-in timer, so they will explode after a few seconds. I could plant proximity mines all around that area, so when I grab the red key... KABLAM!

Really great job BMD! That next map might not be friendly to you. And yes I do like map 17 as well. Light Machine Gun will be fun for sure. Stocking up some Health Bonuses is always a good thing. Now, I'm off to take a nap! 😴
You just got the Death dealer for the chaingun! The good news is that even dealing insane amounts of damage with its 3 multibarrels you spend the same amount of bullets, at least in the version I play here it does.

Processing Area completed and conquered. That was easy,huh Captain? You got the Death Dealer Minigun upgrade and Light Machine Gun! As you know,the LMG comes equipped with micro missiles and a under barreled grenade launcher. Be sure to not fire the missiles near solid objects Captain,you'll damage yourself.
The Death Dealer upgrade lets you turn the Minigun into a super death machine! You'll chew trough ammo like no tomorrow,but sometimes,you need more pew instead of being conservertive with your ammo.
A new enemy appeared here, the flying arachnotron : Arachnophyte! These guys dont mess around,as their flying ability lets them ambush you in new ways!
Captain,I know you are pumped and all,but please remember to aim down your sights! Some weapons need you to do so to deal maximum damage,like the Railgun!
Onwards to Mill! A mill..? What do we need wood here for? What? Anyways,good luck sir.
Thanks, Lt. Zero, I'll be sure to aim down the sights for the railgun - always want max damage with that beast. Can't wait to try out the micro missiles next map, but I will heed your advice about damaging myself with it. Thank you, sir.

I might, though I also might revert back to the 3.0 version.

@@daviddaniel1001 Because they threw out so many things I really enjoyed - other marines you can save, portable turrets, able to use the mancubus arm as a weapon. They threw out some cool enemies too - overlords and fleshviles. 3.0 was perfection.
