It's been almost a year and I've still never seen this used on stream Could just a symptom of wifi, but I still think people should try it sometime Myself included
@@momopenguins7335 Agreed But I also think there's another reason why it hasn't been even rarely implemented It's regarding horizontal acceleration and fall speed during tumble, especially after vertical KB It will be largely expounded on in Escaping Disadvantage pt. 2 Working hard on it
ledge cancel techs are far from new (they were common in smash 4) but this is an excellent in depth explanation of the specifics of this tech for how to perform it in Ultimate
I accidentally found out this out, and was greatful to find that there was a video with greater depth. From what I did it works for Joker, Marth, and Byleth tho I will say Marth does have an easier time doing it from my experience
well done. smart. good word choice. good verbal skills. good structure. Clear and concise. objective, nuanced, and dispassionate evaluation of the tech. AMAZING use of visual aid. Disappointed with the BGM; doing so good yet the music choice cheapens it. will look with interest towards anything else you share. rating 15 and a half thumbs up out of seventeen stars. I hope I Ledge Slip Tech Cancel in the future and think of this guide
I wonder if Puff can get more distance off the neutral ledge slip if she attack cancels the air dodge instead of a manual air dodge.🤔 I'll probably test this out later.
So ive been doing this unintentionally cause I have a habit of pressing up and in while getting knocked back far huh also any reccomended ways to practice this
I'd practice on BF or Yoshi's against moves with vertical KB first so you have time to set it up over higher platforms It's just about getting a solid feel for your character's max horizontal drift speed during tumble + the snapback on their directional air dodge so you can get the right angle when you're close enough to pull it off GC notches definitely help for consistency After that, it's really just finding useful moments to mix it in during landing
Great video!
GimR's Lab back to the lab again
CPUs are carrying the meta
This comment was ahead of its time
This is in the class of a GimR or Beefy Smash Doods video. Amazing find, man.

I honestly completely forgot about it, but this seems amazing and something that people really should start using.

There is something like that on 64
Dude I'm dead now I'm typing in ghost chat my brain literally imploded on itself
Why did I never hear about this tech? It may not be the most useful but it's so stylish!!!
this is insane, also the video is put together really well

So this is what I was doing unintentionally
This is spicy. Thank you.
This is cool i never did the tech cancel but i messed around with tumble air doge to the ground going back and then tech rolling forward
We back in melee boiz
I knew about this, but didn’t know how it would be useful, or how to even do it
I don’t understand the inputs much, I feel like the visual wasn’t clear enough. Any advice?
I’ve found that Lucas can do this tech easier when doing djc on the corner of the platform and he’ll slip off

I can tell you're a fan of mathematics lol
Why is the picture for Western Washington Smash Ultimate a statue from Norway?
Nice!
Damn I wanna try this
Goddamn.
Why is no one using this?????
What is this power
what are the inputs for this?
They are said in the video. Directional air dodge towards a ledge and reset your control stick to neutral before touching the ground.
gamebreaking!
can’t believe this is a rick roll
I hope the man has a Happy Birthday
@@LGSweets holy shit today is his birthday, nice
