It's about time. The design was getting old. It also looks like a good match with it's older sister car Altima. All they need to do is upgrade the Maxima and Nissan will be the boss again.

The new Sentra is gorgeous and offers so much value! If only it didn't have a CVT. Not that all CVTs are bad... I just don't trust Nissan's history with CVTs.
So many generic cvt is bad comments. I’ve got 190k on my 2009 3.5 Altima and never had a issue. Amazing fuel efficiency and engine is always in the powerband when needed.
@@kevinthomson6324 You got lucky and it's an anecdotal example, but the Nissan/Jatco CVTs are really infamous for being bad. Maybe the new ones are reliable like the ones in other Asian brands, but it's risky knowing the past history. I have a Honda CVT which has been great. I drove nothing but manual transmission cars before it.
@@Phrancis5 Thanks for your input, while Nissan has been in the CVT game since the early 2000 with their Murano's, and they have continuously improved the technology. Recently we have had very vey complaints with our CVT transmissions. Wait until you drive this Sentra. Its unbelievable!

I just hate how the S got badly treated and didn’t get CarPlay how the Altima got it on the base. I really like base versions of cars since you don’t really need all those features. I guess I will be getting SV lol
I would have to disagree with your statistic that 90% of customers dont like the CVT. Nissan Canada first introduced the CVT in 2003 with their award winning Murano, and has slowly included most of their line up with the CVT transmission. The CVT transmissions have been improving over the years, and have been very reliable. Why did Nissan decide to go with this technology? Well, it makes the driving experience more seamless and smooth, it maximizes fuel efficiency and power at the same time. There are other manufactures that are starting introduce this in their line ups as well.
Not true, ill take CVT over regular transmission (except for dual clutch), my only issue is Nissans cvt reliability. I love the feel and acceleration with CVT equipped vehicles
Ok all you car buyers.now hear this.because of covit 19..nissan gave customers some piece. Of mind on payments.then.if you wanted to trade up ....here is the fix.added interest to your loan.nice people..who love there customers.they get back to you for covit 19......and they dont care...
Hi Ron, this is the common solution for loans from credit card, to mortgages to car loans. Nissan Canada, has offered the same type of relief understanding that some people might have trouble making their car payments. This would have been explained to you before taking any payment relief. COVID unfortunately has made hardships for thousands of people out there. Nissan like all financial institutions with loans tried their best to help people out. Sorry it has affected you.
@@SherwayNissan thanks for the responce..but being a Nissan customer.fir 11yrs is un called for that never mised a payment and no late fees....not 10 percent over my current rate...thats not good business..there are other car companies in fla...toyota. Honda GM.....my checks dont bounce.

I cant speak about where you purchased your car or who financed it, but it seems as if you didn't purchase your car in Canada. 7.6% seems a little high for our neck of the woods. For new cars, our interest rates are from zero percent up to 4.9%.

I just bought my two tone white and black Sentra SR and I love it. I wish I would have opted for the premium package tho....

I bought an SV for my son such great value...how come it doesn't have daytime running lights? isnt that suppose to be standard on new cars?
Good question! Daytime running lights should be standard on Canadian cars. I cant speak for other markets.
Only comes with LED headlights on standard SR or on LED signature headlight, for SR,SV premium package
