Thanks Paul, the lorry driver stated at the time, that the warning lights were not working when he was crossing, however footage from an on board passenger and TV reporters clearly showed that they were. He was arrested for endangering lives....unfortunately another incident happened at the same crossing recently, but as all systems on the railways are designed to fail safe, it's inevitable human error...Bob
Well described Steve, it was an added bonus to see it yesterday, as it had been reported working up North since its recent release back into traffic....Bob
Thank you for uploading Bob, from looking at the unit at the crash site i was certain the unit would be stripped and cut up, nice to see it back in service. Dave
A cat has nine lives (so they say) 002 is on its 2nd, that looked a bad accident Bob not seen it before , nice to see back in action , nicely put to-gether video Bob
Amazing stuff! just how did that accident happen Bob, do you know? Just how does a lorry become a hazard on the tracks I wonder. Oh well, nice video nonetheless, good to see her fixed up and working again. :-)
Nice work Bob! I even was able to watch it in HD. My bride surprised me with a new laptop and I watched this video first on it. Sweet! Best wishes! Rich
I'm not aware if any 175's have had a new livery, although several have had internal improvements....several 158's and 150 units have had the new ATW livery, and look very smart...Bob
It runs Carmarthen/Milford/Pembroke through to Cardiff and up the Marches to Shrewsbury, Chester, Manchester and Holyhead. It wouldn't work the Valleys because it is a 100mph express train which would be wasted on a local low-speed stopping service. It is needed for long distance travel. 175s do visit Maesteg however (1232 HHD dep)
Robert Masterman apologies, have not learnt English as i live on the north wales coast, and welsh is my first language, they dont do this in welsh - Rhodri
I was on that train we waited like 2hrs 30mins untill a train from crewe pulled it away from the station our driver opted to try and pull it away with the train we were on but werent given permission to. I was only like 7 at the time i was on my 3ds and we changed at crewe which was the next stop to get on the next earliest arriva train to Manchester Piccadilly
That must have been a very frightening experience for you Hugh, and thankfully due to the modern design of those 175 units there were no fatal injuries.....Thanks for your comment....Bob
Thanks Austin, I agree after initial teething problems, they are a much loved unit by operators and passengers alike...Bob
I never though I'd see this unit working again....Thanks for watching Chris...Bob
Thanks Bob, didn't know she was back in traffic. You're great at keeping us informed!! . . . Alan
Thanks Cutter, nice to hear from you....Bob

I didn't think it would be repaired Keith, but it's good to have it back, I've traveled on it several times....Bob
Well described Steve, it was an added bonus to see it yesterday, as it had been reported working up North since its recent release back into traffic....Bob
Thanks Dave, I knew it had just returned to traffic, but it hadn't been reported as working down here......Bob
Remarkable Bob. What a mess the accident made and now you'd never know. Chris
It certainly does Kev, thanks again for the comments...Bob

Fine compilation Bob. I rather like the 175's, much more comfortable than many other units.

right place at the right time Bob way to go loved the video
It certainly did Mike, but these are well designed modern units, but it must have been a re-build to get this one car back in traffic....Bob

It wasn't the 175 drivers fault the lorry come onto the railway
The driver was prosecuted for ignoring the Red warning lights.
I wish..Ha..Ha.
