For people who cannot make a compound path with the objects, just select the group of objects that you wish to apply gradient with, then use the "Gradient Tool (G)", click on one end of the canvas, then drag across the canvas to the other end; the gradient color will be applied to the group as a whole instead of multiple individual objects.

The problem with this is it still gives every object a seperate gradient, it means if you working with a complex object with 100+ shapes it will lag your pc as you are changing the gradient of all the objects in one go

@@TrollProductionsMC Well, this is the only way I figured out to bypass the application restriction; any better solution from an expert user is most welcomed.

No need to make a compound path, just use the gradient tool and drag from one side to the opposite to have the gradient spread on all selected object. Even if you make a group it is possibile to obtain the same result, just apply to the group a new fill attribute in the aspect panel and then put the gradient as it is.

Hi when I apply a compound path it turns the fill transparent and keeps the stroke. I have a feeling it either has to do with the square I have behind it or the shapes that are filled and have a stroke? Any suggestions?

    Hey :)
How would u make the “same” gradient all together as it is here in your video, If there is a difference in the logo ,and it has different size of lines in it and it seems -compound path- is making the lines the same size , and I would like to keep the different size, it doesn’t let me . I’m stock , can you help me? :)
    Thanks you
