When a man like this man , with years and years of experience gives his opinion/advice , your decision to decide against his advice will always cause future problems . I had to deal with the same crap from car salesmen and other shops .
nice to watch pro work and explain method of maddness
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
I'm still watching.....great job!!!!!
.........I have to work now I will finish watching later after work.
Thanks
Great job, the best work that I ever seen in UA-cam for such model of transmission. Thank you very much for all the hard work that you put in this explanation and all the very useful details.
Thank you very much! Thanks for watching.
Much appreciated gentle man
Welcome
Felicitaciones. Good job
Thanks
Thanks for the video! My transmission is losing pressure and stopping. There are many details and I'm scared to disassemble my 722.103.
If you are unsure of it a Mercedes is not one to cut your teeth on. Especially an older one. Thanks for watching.
So good video
Glad you think so!
Appreciate the detailed video sir!
At 53:45 the video skips ahead, instalation of the external shift rod was not shown. Can you tell me if there is an adjustment and or index for attaching the external rod to the internal linkage? It appears this connection is held together with a pinch style sleeve...?
Im having trouble getting the reverse lights to activate on a customer car. The alignment between the shift rod and the neutral safety switch appears to be off 10-15 degrees. This is far enough off to prevent useful adjustment with external linkage adjusters.
Thank you much for any feedback you can provide.
Yes it is, but it also has a spline and flat, so you should not be able to misalign it. The neutral switch can be lined up using a pin that is .156, I use a drill bit. There is also an adjustment on the outside linkage at the switch itself. I can send you a picture but you will need to goto my Instagram to do that. It will not let you do it here. If the detents are correct then the problem is going to be on the outside of the unit.
@CurmudgeonTransmission appreciate your time for the response and insights. Turns out the internal shaft was unintentionally "twisted" 10-15 degrees... no idea how this could even happen. We were only able to determine the issue by pulling the shaft out of the orginal unit that thankfully we still had on hand.
(We didn't do the orginal rebuild btw)
Annoying warranty fix for us... but you have to stand behind your work.
Thanks again!
Excellent Video , sorry your pissed but I agree with you
Thanks
