The issue as usual is management that refuses to pay talented player's. Jesse Bates should still be here. How many other's should be here. Here is what happen Bengals acquired talent went to Super Bowl, went to AFC Championship in 2022. With success comes talented player's who want to get paid. Bengal's paid Burrow and they decided to let other talent leave. They are not going to pay Higgins and YET still refusing to pay Chase. It's obvious it's reverberating through the locker room the organization is not committed to winning. The player's sense it's just a Professional Job. The Brown family would mess up a dream.

Watching this game made me feel like Rob Schneider in The Waterboy going oh no we suck again. All I know is watching one player run around with five players not being able to get to him or breaking tackles was driving me nuts this entire game. And the fact that you needed your secondary to come in and save your ass drove me even more crazy

Our defense is terrible I’m so sick of week in week out we get ran on or we can’t stop anyone. At what point do we start thinking about change at the coaching position not to mention the defensive coordinator.

So you’re telling me that JB had 324 yds w/ 3 td’s, JC had 118 w/ 2 td’s, and the fucking run game went 20/124 1 td and we STILL lost?! Defense shouldn’t even be allowed in the locker room after that game. And leaving 12 points on the field because the red zone offense is ineffective and another Money Mac miss is going to be a big problem moving forward if the defense can’t manage more than being the worst in the league again this year.

All the while - he’s best suited for Mike Hiltons position! It’s similar to the bengals F/O wasting picks on Ossai and Murphy then not letting them get any real reps and experience while they should’ve just invested heavily in younger interior trenches (both sides) 🤷🏽♂️

The Bengals just didn't execute in the Redzone the way Washington did tonight. The Bengals got stuck playing from behind and this Bengals Defense thrives from playing with a lead with their pass rush leading to sacks and Turnovers. Have to play better on all 3 aspects of the game because Special Teams was bad also

Being 0-3 is one thing.. but losing to Jacoby Brissett and Jayden Daniels.. there is no climbing out of this dumpster fire. Three weeks into the season and now we know why Tee and Trey requested trades.. they know first hand that Zac Taylor is not it.

Check his season stats. His rep is built off the playoff runs, outside that, he's very below average.
They just don't have the talent on defense. Zach Carter shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Cincinnati after last season and he was starting tonight. I have probably heard Sam Hubbard's name called twice in broadcast this season, he's regressed.
I think this defense is on the front office for the most part. Jessie Bates should have been paid long ago, he was given the contract he wanted, just didn't give him the guaranteed money, and now he is talked about like the best safety in the league while we see underperforming safety play. Drafted Dax Hill, wasted that pick. Draft picks have just not panned out for even backup level players. Should have paid Trey Hendrickson when he asked for it, God help us when he is gone. Lou is also to blame, but we've put him in a tough position, we just don't have star players. The front office needs to get with the times.
Lost DJ Reader and didn't get any sort of suitable run stopping replacement. Sheldon Rankins is clearly a massive downgrade. DJ Reader was arguably our best player on defense and we saw what life was like without him when he was hurt. He signed for so little money we could have had him and Rankins on the same team right now where Reader is gonna be back any week now.
100% stand by your point. I’m worried next off season because Higgins, Chase and Hendrickson wants money and Mike Brown ain’t gonna pay them because he doesn’t want to maximize Joe Burrow’s potential. Zac Taylor and Lou are terrible coaches that need to be replaced and need a mature culture

What we saw on the field tonight was past AWFUL......it was flat out embarrassing. The defense looked slow and indecisive. They looked like a team that has been told all off-season that they are Superbowl contenders......BUT......forgot the game isn't played on paper......Can they turn it around? YES, but I see a team that needs to look in the mirror and dig deep to figure it out. Do they have what that takes??? IDK

When you come out playing it essy mode you give inferior teams hope and they play their ass off. We're not good enough to play 15 minutes and expect to win. The D had no intensity until the last couple drives and by then Wash. Was juiced. Full of confidence, in a groove....we gotta come out breathing fire!

Season is over. Bengals should consider trading Tee Higgins right now and any other player's the Below Par Management is not interested in signing to deals. Seriously they let good player's leave and tried replace them with draft picks and ask Tennessee how trading AJ brown worked out doing that. Either sign Chase AND Higgins right now or start trading player's for draft Picks. Pathetic 3 games in and season is over.

Our defensive line played like they were a high school team playing professionals every time the commanders had possession of the ball, they're offensive line blew our defensive line off the ball like it was nothing, Jayden Daniels felt 0 pressure had all the time in the world to make plays and make decisions on where to put the ball i hate to break it to you. Because it breaks my heart, i'm a diehard bengals fan, but with this defense, we don't even make it to the playoffs. And now we gotta go see andy dalton, who just threw for over 300 yeards lol

Another loss to a QB we’ve never seen before. Whether it’s a rookie or a backup, we fail against those guys nearly every time, while other teams usually crush those dudes.
I’m not even going to watch more of this video because it’s too painful. We always play coverage to tackle not to prevent the catch. Too much to even list. They suck suck suck! I’m back to finding other things to do on Sunday. I suggest you find something else too. ‘F’ the bunglers and Joe Boo-row.

2. Time to consider a coaching overhaul. I have watched NFL football my whole life and I have never seen a more unprepared performance than that defense last night. All teams have injuries. You get a stop. Daniels played well, but he took short passes and made a couple deep throws. Final TD was just a prayer covered poorly. After surrendering 4th and 16 to Mahomes by not rushing anyone I have had enough.. 4th down was game and Cincy should have called a timeout after they got a look. Commanders 3-3 on 4th down. Loser ball.
4. Bengals are wasting Burrow and Chase with bad moves. Trent Brown, injury risk, signed and gone for season Game 3. Sign someone else and keep Reader. Tee may have helped Chase last night, but he has missed too many games. When you didn’t sign him last year, you trade him, sign Reader and close deal with Chase. Failing to sign Chase was absurd. I am not interested in excuses. Bengals don’t have leverage on everyone. Chase and Burrow are two where they lack leverage. Not hard. Burton needs more snaps. No great QB stays with two great WRs whole career. You get one security blanket. Chase is the guy.
5. This entire season is inexcusable. Team has been unprepared for two of three weeks. Playoffs? Playoffs? We’re talking about playoffs? With Burrow we should ONLY be talking Super Bowls, but it appears he is going to be Matthew Stafforded. A great talent wasted on a loser organization. I wish they had won the Bowl when they had the chance. I thought they had a better team in 2022 when they choked at KC. I also thought the team was a Super Bowl team this year. LOL. Taylor is not the worst coach, but I still don’t love Perine with ball on 3rd down in Bowl and inability to gain 1 yard. He did his best, but coaching staff needs an overhaul. Lou has done his best, but lost the room. The team is full of paycheck guys now because it has shown it won’t pay its best performers. You find a way to sign Bates, Chase and/or Tee. Recognize your top talent. Ditto with Reader. They wind up signing Stone anyway and he has been MIA. The corners still stink, but no pressure up front on a rookie QB.
Why is everyone on here complaining about the offense? They put up 33 points. Clearly, if you were watching the game, the issue is we could not stop the offense of the commanders, which then falls on the defense.Zach taylor doesn't call defensive plays he is not the defensive coordinator. Lou dial up some pressure for goodness sake. He finally started sending it the last couple of drives after you gave them as much confidence as you can give a young Qb but it was a huge difference & gave them a chance. Safties were getting completely baffled by play fakes they were so late to react they didn't even contest a single pass I don't think. That long run saftey looked very late to react he was still in the middle the field while B Robinson was getting the edge with nobody else on that side of field. Scheme & play calling seemed to be the issue to me more then the defensive players. If your not getting pressure with 4 & the coverage is soft you gotta do something else you can't just keep sending 4 for almost the entire game. When they sent guys at the end Washington had to actually make plays.

No surprise our defense looked so bad. Look at the personnel. #97 are best dt and by far. Rookie and 34yr old in first game. One pass rush threat. #22 is a clone of nick scott seemingly. Two beloved OSU alums who have lost a step or 3 since the Oregon game. The list goes on on on. No surprise got smoked. Sad cause offense is cooking. Looks very bleak .

The Bottom line is yes I do believe this season is going to be lost. I predict the team goes MAYBE 8-9. At least Burrow is still healthy. Burrow is 27 years old. If he can stay healthy rest of his career Burrow has maybe 10 more years... I am in Indianapolis and Manning was on a couple bad teams in Indy. In 2001 Manning's 4th season the Colts went 6-10 with the infamous Jim Mora's PLAYOFFS RANT.... THAT team lead the league in points allowed (Sound familiar) and Mora was fired. Interesting the similarities between the 2 teams this year. Colts had alot of Off Talent but the Defense was very bad.

Criminal malpractice and complacency in our coaching has been the gold standard for a long time now.
We have had the talent on the field to mask it for years, but now complacency in free agency has f%*$&@ up everything.

Burrowhead isn't in KC, heck it's not even in Cincy now. Always a lot of yacking from them, esp Chase and Britt, with little to show. Anarumo is overrated. Taylor is a nice guy. The team seems to like him. But he is not a good play caller. Depending how the season goes, I'd be surprised if Lou and/or Taylor keep their job. Players share the blame too, but it starts with the coach.
