Excellent video, you did a great job of explaining the sets! I have to disagree with you on the Plein Air set, though. I’ve repurchased it four times now; it’s been my favorite set for over a decade! It includes many of my most-used colors, and with the addition of a very light blue and light yellow-green, I don’t need any other colors to achieve a harmonious and vibrant landscape. It’s truly meant for plein air painting, and with it, anything environment and lighting situation in nature can be captured accurately enough to work a great studio painting later. It isn’t meant to be a ‘landscape’ set, but more of a working set to capture light/dark, warm/cool, and various environments.
Thank you so much for the in-depth explanation! Sennelier usually does such a good job in their themed sets, I was very surprised. But then again I am no plein air nor landscape painter and your explanations make a lot of sense. I pinned your comment in hopes that people see it after I was so mean to your favorite set 😄

Very useful thanks 🙏
Sooo many great sets to choose from! Do you have a favorite?
Blues in landscapes are often used to create shadows. I expect that is why there are so many blues.
Thanks for the addition, Lyn!
