It took me years to understand the concept of love. I had abusive parents who would say they loved me all the time. I never trusted friends . But I learned through the birth of my kids what pure unconditional love is. I have a ways yet to go. I learned my love for the Christ was really a love for myself, but it was such a strong love I find it hard to let go. Happy holidays everyone 🎄
I celebrate Christmas because it reminds me of my long gone friends and family and how we used to buy new shoes and clothing during this season but had nothing to do with Jesus or anything religious.
I got to say that I've seen videos of Timmy as a pastor and he looks nothing today like he did back then. It's like night and day. 😃 I'm glad that I am seeing more pastors leaving the faith in recent years.
Timmy! You're awesome man! I really love your personality and vids. I was a spirit filled, tongue talking Evangelical Christian myself for 40 years. 13 years ago I ditched faith and became a rational, skeptical atheist. My elderly parents are die hard Catholics and this video has inspired me to offer to go to Christmas Eve mass with them. They are delighted! I told them I don't bow down to anything, so it will basically be me sitting on the pew next to them in the back of the church. They are completely good with that. I look forward to the nostalgic smells and sounds of the church that I experienced as a kid growing up Catholic. I wonder if the holy water will boil when I walk into the church. LOL Anyway, thanks so much for inspiring me to do this. I had no clue how much it means to them.
@UrbanTreasureHunter - You were "Spirit-filled" ?? I think NOT !! You are just using the phrase "Spirit-filled" as a "title" or "idea", just like Timmy uses the phrase, "Born-Again" !! Being "Spirit-filled" is a SUPER-NATURAL experience that God gives you, when God REVEALS HIMSELF TO YOU IN REALITY !! The same with "Speaking in Tongues" !! If you spoke in "Tongues", YOU WERE DOING IT YOURSELF, NOT GOD IN YOU !! You "Know" it & God Knows it !! If you were really "Spirit-Filled" & really spake in "Tongues", YOU WOULD KNOW WHO JESUS IS, but you DON'T, because you walked away, just like the disciples did in John 6:66, which was BEFORE THE SPIRIT WAS SENT on the Day of Pentecost !! After the SPIRIT came on the Day of Pentecost, the Disciples never asked ANOTHER QUESTION, NOR DID THEY EVER "Walk-Away" from Jesus !! Why? Because the SPIRIT BRINGS THE REALITY OF GOD. If you do not have Gods' "Reality", that is the reason WHY you would walk away.....
The thing I like about the season is the light displays. Those new blue lights are interestingly strange. As for the rest of it, I would rather hibernate until mid-January.
@@voidagent Even so, I'm not a Christmas celebration person. Like most people, I am not concerned with the origin of certain practices and traditions. Things morph and change into something else. The decorations are pretty, but I will only enjoy what other people display. I don't put anything up. Happy Solstice to you
I'm trying man. Trying to decompress yet I still have the desire to ask Sandi Patty why she would ever sing with the Mormon cult Choir. I mean tabernacle.....😂
I wish you a very merry peaceful Christmas season Timmy thanks for your videos here it really helps me in my journey questioning my faith one step at a time merci Joyeux Noël ⛄
I became an athiest at age 12 when my 16 year old uncle died in my arms from an asthma attack. At that point, I realized there was no God. I realized nature just is and always will be.
The English word "holiday" is a contraction of "holy day". The reason there are 7 days in a week is due to the Jew-Book "holy bible". The pre-collapse Romans had 8 day weeks. The Vatican is a complete fraud, the biggest fraud in recorded Human Ape Real History.
I'm not sure why "agnostic" is a necessary 'add-on' to atheist. Atheism doesn't deny the existence of a god, it's just not being convinced one exists. It [almost] sounds like you are apologizing - or softening the "atheist" part - by adding in "agnostic". Why add agnostic?
Your definition of atheism seems more like the definition for agnostic. I googled it and “According to the Oxford English Dictionary: - Theism is “belief in a deity, or deities” and “belief in one God as creator and supreme ruler of the universe.” - Atheism is “Disbelief in, or denial of, the existence of a God.” - Agnosticism is “unknowing, unknown, unknowable.” So as it relates to your question (using above definitions), labeling oneself exclusively as an agnostic (someone who doesn't believe it's possible to know for sure) has its drawbacks. How would you account for religious Gods/beliefs that you KNOW for sure are BS? As an agnostic you would technically be allowing for possibilities like the ridiculous man made concoction of the God of the Bible. That’s why I like the way Timmy depicts his beliefs as agnostic (doesn’t know for sure if there is some greater spiritual power/intelligence in the universe) but definitely atheist as it relates to the Bible God. Here are some interesting links on the agnostic vs atheist debate. - michaelshermer.com/articles/are-you-an-atheist-or-agnostic/ - ehrmanblog.org/am-i-an-agnostic-or-an-atheist-a-blast-from-the-past/
No church or Christian is perfect but have to stay away from unhealthy churches and get into a healthy church and Jesus said everyone on the side of truth will listen to him and to beware of wolves in sheeps clothing. The bible says all have sinned and that we are all accountable to God and that Jesus is the only way to God. 🙏❤

The ancient Greeks had three words for "love", agape - love of fellow citizens, philos - love of friends and family and eros - romantic love.
Love the new friends that has opened up online in the former Christian to agnostic/atheist community. One day I really can’t wait to meet in person.
in heaven too maybe lol

I appreciate your show. Positive highlight of my day.

The placing of lights in the window is from the Roman Saturnalia, as is the bringing in of the evergreen indoors and exchanging of presents.

25 years of marriage. The love for my wife has not changed. She is my best friend. I would be lost without her. Love is powerful. And it never dies.
I wish you a very merry peaceful Christmas season Timmy thanks for your videos here it really helps me in my journey questioning my faith one step at a time merci Joyeux Noël ⛄
If you end up going to that candlelight service I would love to hear you relate your experience, if you'd be comfortable sharing!

Even though I am still Christian I no longer celebrate any holiday. I guess I’m just a grumpy old man.

I never loved like I loved my pomeranian Rosie! Rip😢
*POLL* : How many of us have put up a Christmas Tree??? ( I have not -- but I'm alone.)
Lent? It was a slip of the tongue.
