In The Mood For Love snuck up on me. I had previously enjoyed Wong Kar Wai's Chungking Express a lot but I wasn't really feeling in the mood for love very much. It's a bit high concept and was having trouble connecting. But by the time the ending hit I was floored. The more I thought back on it the more it resonated. Glad you liked it!
yipeee! we get a wrap up for films too! omg the Kiran lore and Kung Fu Hustle. i had a thing where a few years back i just had a itch to try and find similar absurdist films with so much comedic levity but to no avail. so i just continued through Stephen Chow's filmography. if you haven't yet, Shaolin Soccer is also a lot of fun and The God of Cookery is okay, but is food-focussed. holds all the same charm, but Kung Fu Hustle will always be up there for me!!!
Don’t lose any more weight or the next puff of wind will blow u away. The last couple of movies I watched were the Fugelmans or something like that by Steven Spielberg which I thought was kind of dull and Oppenheimer which was too long so I’ve severely cut down both my film and tv time. Be well and hope u r enjoying the New Year.⚛❤
I don't get it, In the Mood for Love was filmed in 2000. Is this a new edit? (Just got to the second film, now I get it, these are films you watched, not films OF 2024). Odd title. It also proves the point that "Everyone's a critic," LOL.

Glad you liked 'Withnail and I', it's a cult classic here in the UK

I'm getting into Chinese and Taiwanese concerns too
Doom Generation was so good! Totally Fucked Up, from the same director, is imo just as good if not even a little better
