I had the same reaction as "somebody's hero." Manhattan is only a tiny slice of the NYC metro area. The issues in the suburbs are more subtle, and might not make for a good video. I remember somebody saying you get a job, then look at what they're paying you, and you have to make a little trip in. And that trip gets longer and longer.
There's the strain of commuting for a lot of people whether you drive or ride the trains, expensive too. Of course we have state income tax, and the tax we all despise is our outrageous property taxes. I have to say, the opportunity to make money does exist, if you have lucrative skills and you're willing to make the sacrifices.
Personally, I just moved to Texas for the winter, and I'm liking it here.

We’ll said. #1 reason people are leaving New York City is because of the liberal politics and the insane increase in crime. The city turned into a dump. I bought a house in Houston a few years back. Manhattan is not kid oriented like the suburbs. That’s like comparing living in Galveston to Living Downtown Houston. If you want family oriented in New York City, pick any of the other boroughs or go to the suburbs like Long Island or Upstate New York. The city is mostly geared towards adults for the most part. Full of action, night life and unfortunately crime.
As for the high prices you paid for pizza, that’s because you were in the city which is somewhat of a tourist trap unless you know where to go.

I will love to relocate from NY to Dallas as well. The crime rate is increasing more than ever; there are too many rats 🐀 & roaches 🪳 the ppl aren’t friendly they are so rude & the cost of living is very high & the apartments are very small, parking is ridiculous it’s bumper to bumper. Some ppl drive around looking for parking for over 2 hours & it’s ridiculous. Thank goodness I do not drive, but I know I will have to drive anywhere else besides NYC. Lastly, the summer is just 2 months & I am so sick of the cold & snow. I have to get out of here & I’ve had 49 years of it & I had enough. The only thing I am going to miss in NY is the 24 hour transportation.
    Question,
Are people of color welcome at the crystal lagoon in windsong ranch?
I just want to feel welcomed.

One of my worst decisions was to move to Dallas Jan 2022. I thought like every one else life is cheaper!!
Rent is from 1500$-2500$ and more in clean areas , while 1000$-1500$ are bad areas. NO reliable transportation system in Dallas , DART is crap. Dallas don't know how to deal with 1inch of snow and closed everything down in the city including the airport. No parks or places to go out and enjoy your time. and no public events as well. people hate each other for no reason in Dallas. The only reason why people might think to move to TX is the no state tax. but the recently the local restaurants and supermarkets have raised their prices in TX so there is no savings if you moved.
NYC is the best of USA all the way.
