I've seen a knife handle made with resin and a piece of snake shed on UA-cam. You have lots there so you could do something like that and some other things. You could do a trinket tray, maybe make the back of a frog with snake skin pattern. Maybe a snake skin clock? There are lots of things you could make for sure! I'm excited to see you use it!
Ben, if you want to see what snakeskin looks like in resin, Peter Brown made some knife scale using some snakeskin a viewer sent him.
Ben wants to see if Nicole can grab his snake, he likes patting the dragon on her chest... 😂 ... so much naughtiness today!!!
Showing my age, but Aqua was the name of the group thst produced "Barbie Girl". Not Gwen from No Doubt. I have the album in my CD rack. At first I thought you were trying to think of Margo Robbie who played Barbie in the recent movie. Either way... CD were a good era of time.
Pour yourself a clear cylinder, wrap the skin around it, cast THAT in a cylinder. Light from below? Base for a lamp? Something to get light through it. Keep it whole, says I.
I'm so very sad I wanted to get the shirt Nicole is wearing, but the largest size you have is 2X and that's too small for me 😢
You can make the snake shed less breakable by applying a little bit of humidity to it, that way you can safely stretch it all the way out. I have seen people make necklace charms out of the snake shed.
If you're wanting to keep the whole snake intact, you could either loop it into a circle or stretch it out and make a table top piece from it :D I've held/caught snakes a few times in my life and I've considered having one for a pet, looked up species I wouldn't have to feed frozen mice to, lol. We have a snake we've seen twice since moving here, we call him Stubby because he's got a stubby tail, probably from some accident he's had. He's just a garter snake, so harmless.
snow globes made out of resin? light up snow globes made out of resin with glitter (I just saw a cat spreading litter all over the place snow globe.)
Hello Ben and Nicole Worx. I have been watching you guys for a little while now. I like you guys a lot. There are a few other who do some epoxy UA-camrs I watch. One of them is Peter Brown and I recommend too watch because he does some interesting epoxy experiments and pours one with snake skin.
I just can't with the "can't you fit my snake in"
Snake coming out of a basket with hands holding the charming horn
“I’m not used to holding something so big!” 😂😂😂y’all are cracking me up! Love you guys!!
😂😂😂. That was a riot! The amount of hysterical quotes from this episode are too many to count! I agree with trying color shifting powder on part of that skin. You two have a great time with that. I'm glad it's in Australia and not the States. Take care, great episode!!
The spanner is to tighten the jam nuts on the legs so they don't move
I think the snake skin would make an awesome irregular shaped mirror frame in resin, skin as intact as possible. Maybe backlight the mirror to highlight the scales.
Pour a clear thick cylinder wirh some diamond glitter mixed into the resin. Let it set. Then wrap some LED lights around the cylinder. Pour another layer of clear resin overxthose. Let it set. Then wrap the snake skin around it without any colour or glitter using some UV resin here and there to hold it in place. Once the skin is in olace pour the last layer of clear resin over it. That way the snakeskin glitters from inside out when lit. I would then turn a foot out of a nice piece if wood to hide cables and to give it a stand. By the length of that snake it will be one tall lamp or a few smaller ones.
I would try to somehow tint the snake shed, and then maybe use it to make a lamp shade or something, with resin
Maybe the tail and some smaller sections in a handle ?
