Please never stop these vlogs .. they are a joy to watch . . O wonder if you took the smallest rose mold in deep purple . then put that in the larger rose mold with a light lavender color .Then put that in a skull mold with clear ..

The black is definitely the best makes me think of black opal.
As for the purple and black glitter I think that would look good on a dark red.

Might have been said. But a spritz of alcohol will slip a piece right out of the mold. Love seeing how you two work together- so cute.
An idea for centering the rose... Right nok the popsicle stick has two legs and two feet - what if instead of feet it had a base going across to place the mould on? Then Nicole could center the rose on the table, where she can clearly see things and afterwards you can lift the entire thing up and put it in the pot.

I don't know if you guys have the same thing we have here in the US. But as a kid they had spin art in school. It was a little machine where you can put a peace of paper on it and it spins and you can squirt paint on it out of a bottle. It comes out with a spin and splash like pattern.
I have to wonder if they could affix it to a potter’s wheel to get the spin. I do remember that the spin art machine had very high sides to keep the paint from decorating the entire room.
That sounds like fun, we didn’t have that at school unfortunately
So much great stuff on this one! I love the red heart and the trinket jar! You could try filling the holes in the lid with UV resin. Those trays are really amazing, too!

You talked about putting mini skulls in a big skull mould. With the big skull mould . Do a layer of mini skulls in red for the top of the big skull 'brains', the middle layer would be gold mini skulls, and bottom layer would be black mini skulls. Set in clear resin.

When I first saw those incredible eyes by the dozens in your tray, I started getting ideas for making them. Before long I figured out that they can be bought, I now have some and need ten of me to get all the projects made I have ideas for. Second thought, I wondered how much the shorter length of day would seem to you at this time of year. I realize it's not a small continent, but I'd compare it to us the same amount of time from the seasonal date. It's light until about 10pm, yet, but the summer is getting on, fast.

Hi Nicole & Ben, they are all very pretty. Your Rose in a Rose maybe a small Rose not as heavy or you could do let's say 3 smaller in the big Rose. Maybe a tiny amount of clear resin in the big Rose then put your Rose in with a little uv resin, I would think it should hold then with the floppy sides. Away you go with the rest of the clear. I don't know... have a great day. Take care

Hi guys! I have made the little trinket boxes. People like them. I also have made the little skulls. I put beads in their eyes before kinda creepy lol. I also have made coasters that have a pattern. When they are done, I take a bit of paint and cover it and wipe it off to show the patterns. Kinda fun. Btw I think Nicole stole your heart Ben. ❤❤

I like the "cotton candy" heart in matte. I think some UV resin, perhaps following some of the lines of the heart or the swirls in the resin could be cool. Thanks, Ben & Nicole! Take care and stay safe

I'll vote a black backing, but the white looks nice too. All the trays look awesome! I remember that diorama you made that time. They're time consuming but so very cool. Can't wait to see your frog and canvas idea. Keep up the creativity you two!!!

i like both black and white! i think it would look good on red or blue too
all of the things were so cool and i prefer a gloss finish, it helps to pop up more. a black base is always the best, but the white one looked fine as well so nicole has right, it depends on which color you wanna use.

I'm not a doctor but I studied human anatomy at university. You guys were really close with the location of the heart. One of you was on one side of it and the other was on the other. The heart is actually right about where Elliot's top 2 smaller horns are. It sits just to the left of your sternum, if you're looking down at your own chest.
You are actually correct with your hydration level affecting your blood pressure. Your blood pressure affects the ability to draw your blood.

For your wrists you might want to look into getting some compression braces that you can wear while you're turning. They're very snug so they wouldn't risk getting caught on the lathe. I also saw in a couple turning forums that there are different ways people have developed of holding their tools to help with the wrist pain. So that might be worth looking up. One of the people they mentioned that explains this technique was David Ellsworth.

I've seen someone do the spinning resin on UA-cam but instead of using the lathe they mounted it onto a drill and turned it to faxe upwards.

Black base 💯 There is another comment about Black opal.. I had same thoughts on that, and the colour is so opal like! Nature already made us the option, and humans chose Black seam opal as the most valuble…

Ahh the visit to the modern day vampires, due my yearly HBA1C check, hopefully no changes. As for detail work, with my old eyes, I use a 10 inch digital microscope, and sometimes I put that up on a monitor you just have to get used to the dissconnect between your hands and your eyes.
I have an idea for you to try to make a resin soda pop bottle like the old glass bottle style. Might have to turn it on lathe.

I love the dark red rose with the glitter. Why not accept the way they end up a teensy bit off center in the bigger mold as a proof that they’re handmade? I think it’s charming. I really like the owl egg, but have you ever made one with a tiny dragon?
If you want to make a soap dish, look for a tray mold that is designed for drainage. Just plunking the soap on a flat tray won’t let it drain and make the bottom of the bar mucky. The trays you unmolded in this video are so pretty, but I have to agree that the black background shows off the glitter more.

About the pain in you hands - have you tried parraffin treatment? It eases pain in the joints and is particularly good for arthritis pain. You can buy a home hand spa treatment set for relatively cheap and it's quite easy to set up and use.

Could you 5 minute epoxy the rose in the big mold first the pour the clear?
Hey Ben, for your hand pain what I found for when my arthritis flares up is what they call a compression glove. It helps immensely on mine and here in the USA they’re like $24 a pair. We can get them on our insurance as a medical aid. I don’t know how you guys are down there but look into it compression gloves. Have a good day.

I was taught, if you take your own right hand and place it over your left breast with the heel of the hand resting on the sternum, then curl your fingers into a fist, that's the approximate position and size/shape of the heart ;)
What if you did mini skulls in the top of the big skull in clear resin and then the bottom of the skull be the same color as the mini skulls. So it looks like the mini skulls are coming out of the bottom and filling up the rest of the skull

How deep dose uv cure? I have a deeper resin mold but I don't know if I should use UV on it or epoxy
If it’s clear uv it can be about 5-10mm with a good strong light, if it’s opaque I would suggest layers
