I actually could have won the match but I forgot that masq IP gives protection to the newly summoned monster through her effect because Max C stressed me a lot so all I had to do is summon mali from the grave , attack goddess with sunrise and go for game . thank you a lot Dkyed for encouraging me through the event 😄👍🏻

That hero player losing bc he made one misplay vs the snake eyes player making literally every fumble imaginable was peak yugioh. This is exactly why I only watch now.

watching Abohmod plays branded makes me realize that im only using like 30% of branded capability 😂
that game 3 in the final is CLASSIC.
Chat constantly amazes me calling plays bad when they don’t understand.
Abohmod summoned Aluber first because if he had used feather duster first, his opponent could have gotten two bodies and on resolution made a 3-4 mat Apollo.
Since he needed to resolve a normal summon effect to have plays, he gambled on summoning Aluber into 3 unknown cards rather than for sure be negated by Apollo.
He didn’t have a choice.

He also got top 10 in duelist cup which is swarmed by snake eyes & lab player
AboHmod is so enjoyable to watch with Branded. I still maintain that Branded is the better board breaker deck than the likes of snake eyes and Superheavy.
Branded can break almost any field spammed with Apollousa, Baronne and Savage negates.
Fusion decks like Tearlaments and Branded feel more enjoyable to play I believe. The lines are more varied and interchangeable.

The thing no one seems to realize is that branded has been in the top almost the ENTIRE TIME ITS BEEN IN MASTER-DUEL, so with that being said all Top branded players have learned the deck like the back of their hand and found ALL the outs to just about EVERY deck by now.
It's the new Dragon Link, you just expect it that when there's tournament, Branded will always get the top cuts, and be a super resilient deck, having insane grind game. I'm okay with Branded taking small hits here and there

watching Abohmod / April playing Branded in this series is always a treat. that last game was crazy!
I think the funniest part of all this was how Rescue-ACE won the last weekly BEFORE getting their new support, and for this week people are still trying to figure out what to do with the new cards and only made Top Cut(albeit with multiple entries).
But chat kept spamming smack about how it sucked compared to Snake-Eyes for some stupid reason even though THAT supposed "Tier 0" deck hadn't won a weekly even FURTHER ago.
I can feel the hype in Dkayed's voice when he's casting the match between Hero and Snake Eyes!

I thought this was supposed to be a tier 0 format? Especially with bonfire. This was such an incredibly diverse top 16. When’s the last time we saw this many decks?
That's what happens when you blindly believe youtube lol.
SE was never tier 0. Strong tier 1, sure, but not tier 0. It only reached tier 0 status if you counted snake fire king and pure snake TOGETHER as one entry in the TCG, which is... not how tier list works. Case in point, MD had gone through a similar format last year with spright and runick spright, and yet nobody considered that a tier 0 format.

Great video since I missed this live due to being busy. I will say, I dont know how but I think this week is the worst the chat has been in a minute. Even the Harpy Feather Duster from game 3 having questionable value and making fun of the guy that has literally won several of these tournaments amongst other things, I had to make sure I was doing my best Yugioh player impersonation and just not reading anything on the left hand side lol.

Yeah probably is. If Tear was allowed to go unbanned for awhile longer that might have changed but Branded has either been the best deck or a very strong deck for its entire lifespan

Snake-eyes isn’t healthy for the game. It just got linkuriboh banned and the problem isn’t the link card. It’s the snake eyes engine. But Konami likes money more than balance
I think snake eyes is overrated, i use an Egyptian God Card deck with Bystial’s and have been absolutely clapping the snake-eyes players. Only thing that makes snake eyes hype is its ability to turbo out Savage, Baronne & sometimes Appolousa which is looking like those won’t be around very much longer. Without those generic boss monsters it’s nothing and other decks can out them pretty consistently.
their end board isnt that impresive tbh, a single apollo without savage or barrone can still be deal with, what makes SE annoying is they use so many handtrap + have an insane follow up if you fail to otk on that turn, dealing with 3 material appo + princes pop is doable but having to do that through bilion of handtrap is almost imposible
