Judging by the aesthetic, it was probably part of a crimson forest. After all, Red Dragon base felt significantly shorter than any previous location in the game. Especially the forest part - you just spawn in front of the entrance, beat a bunch of guys ang go in the cave for 3 mass battles and 2 1v1? Plus, you can see a long road in the spawn point of the forest. This was probably going to be the same "Stage with 2 halves", just like Botan Jungle with Argus Temple or Arctica with Lin Quei temple. But the forest part got cut out, it seems. This is all a theory, mind you. But it always felt like the game had at least 2 or 3 things cut out in the late production. Like the Tengu battle in front of the altar.
Just coming back to Armageddon and playing Konquest up to Krimson Forest, I now understand it now with that unused section of the forest, and I saw the path, it was very interesting and makes that theory make even more sense.
4:51 i was searching more about the development of mk armageddon and the only thing i could find related to this cut konquest map is some screenshots in-game, i also found a unused logo which had a different font and a metallic look. Looking at some trailers, i found some early og xbox screenshots and footage which shows the nexus and later on a very early version of the stage "pyramid of argus" as background scenery to the kreate-a-fighter menu. Edit: i also found in one old site a screenshot of Kreate-a-Fighter fighting sub-zero in his alternative costume in "the portal" stage from chess kombat (from mk deception), and in some screenshots the konquest had some minor differences like the botan jungle having a blue filter instead of a green filter and every treasure chest still using the mkd konquest model.
Man, that dead forest map looks so beautiful, i really wish we had that in the game, walking around that road, around those fences, probablt being ambushed by ninjas
5:20 i remember this, when I have PS2 I really wanted this feature and I thought when you finish 100% in konquest mode you will get this feature but sadly not. after that my friend told me this was for the premium edition and at that time it was almost impossible to find a premium edition. after a long time and have started to forget about it, I now use the ps2 emulator and remember again and finally I searched and found it in an "alternative" way but I was still disappointed because there was still no such feature. (sorry my english is bad and i use google translate)

So at 6:43 the Motor Kombat konkept video uses the Lost Himalayan City theme from Arctic Thunder and I thought you edited that in when I first wrote this comment two days ago from this edit. But then I play MK Armageddon and looked in the Krypt and watched the MK Armageddon Konkept video and there that Arctic Thunder song was. So I was surprised they actually put a Arctic Thunder song in a Mortal Kombat game at all even if its just a Mortal Kombat Motor Kombat Konkept Video. Ponzo from Arctic Thunder for new Mk1 guest Khacter and they should make a New Arctic Thunder game because it was underrated.

Wow the beta version of Konquest looked so much better. Just like most other games, the beta ususally had better content than the final version.
