- This week we take this old, fake piece of furniture and transform it into a French Provincial BEAUTY! We will use @Amy Howard products to create this beautiful look. We will do some color mixing, some aging and even some faded pin stripes! I hope you guys enjoy the video!

Just now, I told my son (24) that you usually add a touch (!) of gold to most of your things. He said it could be because of the Russian Orthodox iconography influence. Or, just because you like it!
Wee considering I am not Russian I would say it's because I love gold!
I believe too that Byzantine style is predominant in the est Europe but it is present in baroc also, rococo... Like an european that I am I believe this piece is glam with a touch of gold, otherwise it will be common and boring . Blood speaking ... 😃😃

I love what you did with this dresser. I wish I had a little girl I could do something like this for. I’m glad you mixed your own color to give it a good solid base color... You had me at the ‘dust’. I couldnt imagine a product like that to age it well, but voila! I’m sold on that product. The other thing was the incomplete stripes. Once again I thought well, Ill watch and see how this turns out. But awesome finished product! I’m so glad you do these videos. I just bought a new house and will be using some of these techniques on furniture to make them stand out!

I suffered with that furniture when I was 10, and my parents bought it for me, thinking I'd love it. I re-painted when I was teenager so many times! Many, many years later, when I got married, we got an apartment across the street from Goodwill. Guess what I bought for my dining area? Yep. The small dresser, $4.47, literally hauled it by hand across the parking lot, across the street, and into the apartment...and re-painted it. I never got the slightly musty smell out of the drawers, and ended up getting rid of it a couple of years later, after using in our house's foyer for hats and gloves. I kind of wish I had it back.

I love the beautiful color. I have mixed mica powder with Annie Sloan clear wax before and it worked beautifully too. I thank you , Kacha, for sharing your lovely project.

Well Done as always Kacha!! I just painted a desk that was from a set just like your piece. I used Krudcutter Prepaint Cleaner and sanded and that was all I needed to do so now after watching you successfully redo your piece, I'm less likely to pass up these pieces of furniture.
