If there were 5 tickets that weren't winners after he was told they were winners. I've heard that some cashiers have taken winning tickets after telling people they weren't.
This is true happened to me and I got lucky because I told a manager and they looked at the camera 500$ the cashier cashed in… the location ended up giving me 700$ for the inconvenience

I receive Social Security for my daughter and before she was approved for payments, I had to read all the paperwork. It does mention about winning the lottery and cutting the payments for Social Security😂.
They don't cut your social security off for winnings in Texas because the winnings have nothing to do with your disability. Just because you win doesn't mean you're no longer disabled.

My mother charges me rent after I decided to full time take care of her and my cripple dog. She's the most ungrateful POS you will ever see. All of her children abandoned her, rightfully so, but my stupid ass decided to care, even though I don't whether she lives or dies. I should be the one getting paid. I pay more rent than before, basically AND spend money on food for a second person. Good parents are a privilege, not a right.

They stop SSI if you come into money. You can't have anything but $2000 in your account at anytime. Social Security you get when you are old and retired and you pay into it. SSI is for people who can't work for various reasons.

Right they stop ssi not ssdi. Ssi itself is for those who haven't worked and could qualify if they become disabled in the future. Ssdi, are for those who already put in the work load over the years and have a right to the insurance. The limit of which a person could have in a bank account or in general proves that ssdi has a lower standard rate than ssi. So if you want 30K in your account while receiving benefits you better be a retiree. 🤔

She had to take all her money out of her savings otherwise they weren't gonna pay her.... Saved up her whole life just to be told she can't have that money if she wanted to recieve benefits from being retired and wanted to keep her medicare.... They are a joke....

So he just admitted (on national T.V.) to committing Social Security fraud. By having other folks claim his winnings? So is he receiving SSI (welfare) either partially to compensate for a low SSD, or in whole? Because the only way SSA will stop your check is if you have income above the allowed the monthly limit for resources (savings, work, inheritance or winnings, ect), when you're getting SSI. The supplemental (welfare) benefit will be stopped. You will be required to pay your own bills until your resources are back under the monthly limit.
It depends on the state. But he gets ssi not SSA or SSD

I'm so sorry sweet girl, some fathers don't deserve to have princesses, which every daughter is, just like every son is a prince. My father used to be my hero, my protector and the person that knew everything, but as I got older I realized that he kept betraying me over and over again, and when I needed him the most, he chose my mother's side, during a traumatic and painful time in my life. That was honestly the pinpoint of when I literally had no choice but to let him go as my daddy, and on that day we became strangers. One of the most painful days of my life.

I’m not excusing what part she did fail… because I wasn’t expecting that (I had the same reaction as the lady in the audience who leaned on the person next to her.. especially for the second half). But I’m so glad she passed the rest, because that’s what they were truly there for & what really mattered. This guy is unbearable, impossible to reason/get along with. But it’s not uncommon for some children (regardless of age, but especially as adults) to still want a relationship with parent(s) like this, even if it’s limited and from a distance. But at some point you have to throw in the towel and say “it’s no longer worth it, mentally or emotionally.” This guy is extremely bitter, stuck in his ways. Not all parents deserve respect, especially when what little respect there is left…isn’t returned, or acknowledged. Honestly I can see why she feels the way she does. She’s not perfect, but she’s also hurt. It’s a sad and f’d up situation. But what little is left of this relationship isn’t worth saving and he only has himself to blame. Toxic parents come in many forms.. even if it’s not the worst there is. And his apology was weak & not genuine. I think he resents her because she stands up to him & doesn’t take his bs.. Especially now that she’s an adult.

The social security statement is true. I'm 25, disabled and currently fighting to get my SSI back. One of the things i've always been told that if you have money in your account, like a huge amount of money after saying your disabled and unable to work, social security would look at that and possibly end your benefits. If your saying your disabled, your not allowed to have any kind of other income in your bank account, or at least not more than like $100.
