The non damage side even in "White" looks really nice, so once its another color it will look even better. I really like the Single Cab Short Bed Look. Fantastic creativity and skill! A Whipple supercharger would be much better than a turbo with no turbo lag plus the "Whipple Whine" would be awesome, sounding like a jet fighter taking off.

Love the build. Was hoping to see someone do the conversation. I think with the short bed it looks a little cartoonish. I’m thinking the standard bed would give the old school SWB Chevy look. Nevertheless are at build.

Never like the look of the short crew cab bed on the standard cab. Gives the truck a cartoonish proportion. Standard 6ft bed is just the right length and more useful.
Looks like they used the 5' bed instead of the 6' bed like the original single cab short bed trucks had from the factory like the 2018 and older trucks

I think it might be cheaper to import one from Mexico.
If you go to Mexico just crossing the USA border go to gmc dealer buy one and when you are crossing tell the officer that you want to import you truck and you need only 2 things no more the 1000 thousand miles and the EPA stickers if you get this two just pay taxes but ain’t much,less that what this shop is going to charge you for the job and that’s set new gmc regular truck import from Mexico and last thing just change from Spanish to ingles and enjoyed so you don’t need to chop this beauty,but this were been my way to do it but to way nice

Please tell me he is mounting the door mirrors where they belong and not where GM mounted them. It looks like GM forgot to install the mirrors on the assembly line and then installed some cheap aftermarket mirrors afterwards. IMO. Otherwise looks killer.

Is it just me or did you completely skip the *actual part part where you cut the frame*? You know like the title? Would have been great to actually where you cut, how you welded it back together.
Some of that footage in in the previous video to that. A lot of it I wasn’t able to film since our tech did most of the work and I still had to do my everyday job. The time frame doesn’t always line up for filming. I tried to show as much as possible

it's because most of the sales are going to the crew cabs shortbeds and standard beds like the 2500. Less sales are going to the single cab standard box and mostly consumers that buy regular cabs usually for work and businesses and want a longer bed for their stuff. In sales, theres no use for a standard bed single cab.
It's usually the lack of sales.
I do like the looks of the regular cab though and wanted one but it usually comes down to sales.

Why wouldn't you just order a Short bed frame from Mexico and use that one without cutting your current frame? You could even order the drive shaft and the correct bed, right? It's not like you're importing the entire truck just parts. I mean that make better sense, then you can re-sell the current long bed frame, bed, and drive shaft and get some money back.

I’m done with GM. They really pissed me off by not making the SWB reg cab anymore. Instead they make a shit ton of long beds and crew cabs nobody wants because parking spaces and families are shrinking NOT GROWING! I’m ONE PERSON who lives alone with no kids! I don’t need your damn crew cab or long bed!
