This is exactly my situation. My fiancé of 16 years broke up with me recently I do no contact I don’t contact her at all but we do conversations frequently because she has a lot of her stuff at my house. Plus we share a dog together plus we have the same friend group, I keep my interactions with her very positive and just try to be as helpful as possible. I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing. Honestly, I’ve been helping her move a couple things just because they’re extremely heavy. She told me recently that she was proud of me and then I looked good because I have been working on myself fairly a lot. Of course I got me a little excited but I had to be strong. I’m not sure if I’m doing good but it’s really hard to stay in to no contact with her when she reaches out pretty frequently to pick up things and ask questions.

My wife is anti-classical marriage. She just wants her career and independence, thus left 4 months ago. I’ve been in NC for 2 months now after begging and pleading. I have my own place now and it’s chilled out. Not sure when she’ll reach out again but it will most likely be when she drops divorce papers.

Broke up with my partner of 6 years , 2 months ago.
She moved out for about 3 weeks and has since moved back in but she says that's purely to see more of our son.
She still wants to push through the sale of the house and move on but isn't dating etc.
Been quite good friends in the last 2 weeks since I committed to loving her from a far and I have to say.. there's a clear difference.

This sounds good advice but also seems very contradictory to the no contact rule.. when we started the no contact rule we parted on quite good terms but she unsure about recommitting yet often reaches out and we always have positive interaction and now after watching this video I'm wondering if no contact is the best option as it gives space but doesn't allow us to keep finding ways to bond and become close again.. so which is better? But I feel that they look so comfortable in the current situation and totally friend zoned me. I feel like they call me everyday for either co dependancy or they r bored at work. In some occasions I even tried to push them away by having little scuffles over the kids. I have the emergency break up kit but feel like maybe I’m doing something wrong. I really hate that Christmas is fast approaching and our children will ask for all of us spend it together. On the back of my head I’m saying ‘I’m not ur friend stay away’..

I would not have sex with him until he wants to try again with the relationship, but it’s up to you. Be firm with him that you want commitment, don’t give him too many relationship benefits until he is committed to you.

What should you do when you're separated and your wife is dating someone but denies it to me. She claims he's just a friend but I know for a fact it is much more. She still tells me she misses and loves me regularly. She comes over to have dinner and visit me and the dogs once a week or so which she initiates herself. She texts me frequently throughout the day to talk about her day, check in on mine and vent about any issues. She balls her eyes out before she leaves each visit and talks about how much she wants to be home but chooses not to be. Her last visit here she said was her best day in months but proceeded to stay with him the rest of the week. Her relationship with this other guy is progressing quickly despite what she says to me. I feel like I'm enabling her to have the best of both worlds by being available and supportive even though I'm not initiating the conversations or visits. I did purchase and complete the emergency marriage kit but I feel like my situation is unique in this way.

I’m kind of in a similar situation with my husband by what you are describing. He’s been out of the house for 16 months. We know this 3rd party is keeping him away.
I would say focus on improving the things about you that she feels she is getting from this 3rd party. They are just a distraction. Eventually she may come around. Don’t get angry even if you want to. The time she is spending with you will annoy this 3rd party and they may ruin things with her.
Something has shifted with my husband and he asked me for a coffee. This is progress from being adamant he wanted a divorce a number of months ago. My situation felt dire.
Yes she is getting the both of best worlds right now but it will take time for her to realize what is best. The new relationship may lose its shine. She may or may not be confused.

The following day she sent me a much more softly worded email but attached unsigned divorce papers as well. She also said to let her know if I have a change of heart and would like to discuss in person and that she would wait to hear from me. I feel this was to attempt to get a response that I didn't give her. I haven't heard from her since and I have been considering messaging her to have that talk in an effort to deescalate the situation.
