    I've seen him give master classes, and I believe that he uses his emotion to actually help the music and not hurt it. The expressiveness is not a distraction. It is a help. And it is a pleasure to both hear the expressive music and see the expressions at the same time

      Too bad the audio is a split second before the video

    This has "gotta" be THE *best* performance of this piece I have *eVer* heard in my life; ...sadly, [and may Maxim continue to heal, properly], due to his shoulder injury several years ago, he doesn't play like this anymore; :(

      Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. I'm glad this was captured on video because this is a historical moment for this piece I think.

      If you haven’t yet, have a listen to Ginette Neveu! Old recording, but it shares some of the sheer intensity seen here, whilst being more airy. Hard to explain.

      Actually,there was a even better recording (still by vengerov) playing the same peace,even better than he did on this video,but unfortunately it seems they deleted it :(

    The best performance of Tzigane I've seen on youtube; only second to watch and listen to him perform it live- went to his concert last year and he's still as amazing as he was here :)

    I listened to this performance and pulled out my score for Tzigane. In the 1970’s I used to play it on viola for fun, reading the violin part as if it was in alto clef. I followed each note of this brilliant performance and then returned the score back to the library. What an incredible technical tour de force.

    Love Vengerov's courage and creativity... He's the ultimate hero of 'interpretation'... ♠️🎻👑

      Just revisiting this a year later, on the subject of understatement, when Nigel Kennedy was touring Ireland he went to an bar where they were playing great Irish music. He asked to stand in for the fiddle player for a few songs and did; on handing back the fiddle the Irish fiddle player said to him, "you know, you're not bad... with a bit of practice you'd be pretty good"!!
      He took it in good spirit of course. Isn't that wonderful?!!

    La meilleure interprétation qui puisse exister de Tzigane ! Il n'y a pas de mot suffisamment fort pour décrire ce que procure la prestation sublime de Maxim Vengerov !!! ❤

    O único problema, na minha opinião, sobre o Vengerov é que ele é muito expressivo, mexe demais pra tocar. Isso tira a atenção que o espectador deveria ter na música e transfere para o violinista. Mas, tirando isso, ele é completo, se é clara a forma que ele se entrega na música.

    • @theviolinoob
      @theviolinoob 7 років тому +6

      O cara é caricato e autêntico, não vejo problema algum nisso pelo contrario vejo muita personalidade, da outra visão sobre a musica que ele interpreta.(Minha opinião)

    • @abj8842
      @abj8842 7 років тому +2

      +Living In a Bubble sim ele é muito autêntico, porém ser caricato, na minha opinião não é muito bom, não na música. Te faz perder o foco na peça

    • @theviolinoob
      @theviolinoob 7 років тому +3

      acho que ele não é caricato pq quer, faz parte dele . ainda prefiro ele caricato que a hilary hann com cara de manequim sem vida hehe

    • @abj8842
      @abj8842 7 років тому +1

      ***** sim, faz parte dele mesmo. Não estou fazendo uma crítica, só um comentário que talvez ele mude o foco da atenção. Tb não me simpatizo com a HH acho ela realmente muito sem expressão kkkk, mas tb é o jeito dela!
      Já ouviu falar do Shlomo Mintz?
