Oh my goodness, no. You should try. It is NEVER too late to try a new instrument. One of our local violin teachers gives a FREE introductory lesson to anyone who wants, once a year. In a class session. Fantastic. Maybe you can find something like that in your city. Best of luck. 🇨🇦
I am 61 and picked up the cello 11 years ago and I was able to have my own concert last year! You should try!! I am learning this exact piece and it’s not easy but I am enjoying it!😊 You can do it!!
15:24 PIANIST APPRECIATION MOMENT Listened to some other recordings and as I suspected, this part just isn't as magical, you've captured just the right sound for the situation
The first cellist I have ever heard who has gotten the first few notes of this sonata completely in tune!!
Ummm 🤡
I have shared this video to all my cello friends! can't wait for more amazing playing!

Какой замечательный дуэт,какиемузыканты,как чувствуют друг друга!!!!!!спасибо огромное,оторваться ни на миг не могла!!!
Счастливцы,кто бывает на ваших концертах!!!!!!
The style of playing is absolutely Brahms. Excellent understanding of the motifs of the composer. (Hornung even looks like the young Brahms ;--)
I have liked and subscribed and have left the all notifications bell on! god bless you!
terrific playing! I enjoy hearing this piece, and you made it even better!
Terrific. Thanks for posting. I’m learning this work and respect both for their beauty of expression.
The way they played the second movement is focused and sweet.
The single best performance I’ve heard, and I’ve listened to many!
Beautifully played. Thank you for sharing this with us.
당신같이 브람스 첼로 소나타를 기가막히게 연주한 사람을 본적이 없습니다. 최고!

shows an extremely in pain, self-constrained and self-repressed Brahms.
einfach zu gut!
amazing high level!
the style is very passionate!
This is really fantastic...
Sencillamente, BRILLANTE Y ESPECTACULAR, por ambos.
Incredible!
Es ist einfach genial!!!! Das ist echter Brahms❤ bravo Jungs❤❤
The name of the piece is sonata for piano and cello. The piano part is amazing.
uh no? the piece is the Brahms cello sonata in e minor. although it’s a sonata it’s mainly part of the cello performance repertoire
@@PandaKofu You are mistaken. Brahms named it sonata for piano and cello.
That's true
You are correct. After all, Brahms was a virtuoso pianist.
it’s a sad fact for cellists but yes our part sounds trash without piano
Such an inspiring performance! Btw, UA-cam really shouldn’t add so many ads in the middle of the performance - it was multiple times.
it’s not youtube the channel chooses whether or not to monetize the video and include ads
@@Shizumu1 Thanks for clarifying - good to know
@@peipeisong3655 ofc! it helps support the channel so its worth every second in the end.
Would be better to have all of them at the start
@@gikle8354 yeah youtube makes more money putting ads in the middle lol
Simply beautiful. I've always wanted to learn how to play the cello. I'm almost 40 so...there goes that

I’ve taught an 88 year old lady piano. Never too late. 😊
You can learn anyway
This is my next solo and it’s going pretty … aaa , my lesson teacher told me if you don’t play this piece with emotion then your a dishonor to Brahms
qué obra más apasionada
10:53 is so amazing
Definetly is the best part, beside you had already heard the first two times that something similar is played, that one is the cherry of the cake.

5:17 how do you get a third finger this strong good lord
I am struggling on the 6th line already!😵
I am looking for other classical music pieces that are similar to this one in spirit and sound, would anyone care to recommend? Thanks!
Brahm' chamber music is all very good,. Listen to his piano quintet.and his clarinet quintet. Very different pieces, both great.
Robert Fuch's Cello sonata in e flat minor has a similar spirit.
If you're still looking, Dvorak Cello Concerto, although it's usually played with an orchestra.
Try Brahms' violin sonata Nr. 3, played by David Oistrakh and Sviatoslav Richter, from New York, 1970. It's on UA-cam on two channels.
Шикарно!
