You look great! It’s fine and it will be alright!…I am sure it’s grown back! As you said you’re a cosmetologist as well…the hair stylist sees maybe what you don’t. I got the same thing back in early October…my hair was already short but it still needed some clipping. I was fine with that…the bounce and waves I have today!!!!!! Wow!!!! Enjoy Sistah Waves…!!!!❤
Thank you 😊 if you’d like to follow my hair channel @shareennicole there will be some great things coming on that channel as well! Thanks for your support!
I finally did it yesterday day 🤗 After over 3 and a half hours in the salon, and over 70 rods put in my hair 😊 I have a Jheri curl Afro perm 🙏 And I'm in love with it 🤗💞
I think she did it to perfection. If you are a cosmetologist then you know that blond hair was dead and needed to go. It would have been fried with the process
I appreciate your option but when you have a consultation with someone you have to be clear on the vision that the person sitting in your chair wants and if that not feasible then you explain to them what YOUR VISION is for that person. Sometimes once a person can see what they wanted didn't work for them then they come back to you with trust that you will do what's right for them.
Yup I hear ya. Your welcome. I think your really gonna like it. Wave nouveau isn’t bad it’s just everybody’s hair. Takes to a different so hopefully it will be a different experience for you. But yes, I really did think it was super cute. I did like it. It was just a lots of maintenance and hair breakage I just wasn’t willing to deal with anymore
It looks great on you. I know the hair trim process is always painful but your hair will grow back fast and will healthy and strong. I got a Wave Nouveau Dec 2021 and I love it!! I am documenting my journey also ❤️ My hair stylist does not use shampoo during the process. I wonder if that is the reason why your curls didn’t turn out the way your stylist wanted them too. Either way your hair looks wonderful❤️
No disrespect but she seems to be a season hairdresser & I think she gave you her old school 1980’s hairstyle. The up side to it is it looks great on you!!
Thank you 😊 I realized afterwards that afterwards. My biggest thing was I just didn't want to take that much off I had finally gotten my hair to be all one length I just needed an inch off not 3 😁 but the good news is that it's hair it grown back🤗🤗🤗
She should have rinsed your hair with the rollers still in at the very end. Also after you take the rollers out do not disturb the curls for 48 to 72 hours so she should not have combed the curls out to trim the ends. Preferably go one week before first hair wash. Best time to trim is after you rinse out the rearranged and the hair is straight. Prior to the roller set
Tell me about it🙄 she even washed my hair after the rollers came out and lets not talk about this horible hair cut that i have to mask everyday 😩😩 like my hair was all one length I should not have let her cut it😔. So I was thinking the same thing like should dhe have left it in 🤷🏾♀️ but I let her do her imma do it myself the next time around and I'll make sure I have a video up for how I diy my jheri curl. This time tho I was thinking about using care free curls cause it smells good.
Aw it’s cute. I admire you calm in the process. You were a very good candidate and sport the entire time. I can tell you are an cosmetologist. Thank you for sharing and remember it will grow back so fast and beautifully.😊
Grey & White Rods are better for not too tight curls, they are just tight for my hair length, which is about 14 inches in length. Remember The longer your hair the more it will drop. Been a Cosmetologist for over twenty five years. It's all about tight or lose curls, and hair length. Mixing rods will being great results. Short hair - I Suggest; Blue, Yellow, Pink, and Grey for more curls. The smaller the rod the tighter the curl, but Remember the bigger the rod, the Looser the Curl, however you will get a wave pattern.
Thank you so much for commenting on this video. I really appreciate it since then my hair has been natural I chopped it all off it’s grown and nicely. It’s pretty much the same length as it was when I did my wave Nuvo, so I’m happy 😊 Not sure what I wanna do with my hair now I was thinking about carrot and treatment or Japanese straightening but I’m not sure
Your hair shape looks exactly like it had in the beginning but with a curly texture. You had more length in the back and your sides were shoulder length but fine. The trim is great. You can try clip ins with your newly styled curls. If your curls had been any tighter you would have not liked it since you specified you didn’t want a fro. Shorter curly/wave hair will always give someone an Afro appearance unless you have a relaxed wave texture that lies flat with less gravity.
I’m pretty sure she wasn’t supposed to wash it. And I’m pretty sure she should not have placed you under the dryer. Just let it sit naturally. And I’m fairly certain she should NOT have combed it or manipulated the curls until at least 3 days later. When she cut, she ruined the curl setting process. And the curls originally looked okay but the way she combed it out messed it up so it doesn’t look curly now. It just looks kinda messy.
Your absolutely right but u live and you learn right now I'm not even sure I wanna keep this hairstyle as it sheds alot😩😩 if I decided to do it again I'll just do it myself at home.
Your hair is shedding because you have color In your hair. You should never get a curl if you have color on your hair. She should have just did the Thioglycolate on the black part of your hair where there is no Color. After she rinsed that out she should have used Hawaiian Silky Curl Rearranger which is used for color treated hair. I do curls all the time I always tell clients to wait to get there hair colored.
@MichaelJones-oz7vo thanks for sharing your knowledge 🤗 that color was pretty old tho. 🤷🏽♀️ now the blonde part yes I could under stand but the rest of it sheesh. There are multiple people who have had there hair permanently waved and have suffered from hair loss because it was over processed or they didn’t take care of it. As for me I took really good care of it and it was doing really good in the beginning but then started to shed uncontrollably. Another thing could be allergic reactions to the chemicals put in your hair. That was my first time getting that process and my head was pretty itchy so you never know🤷🏽♀️ the great thing is hair grows back so I’m ok with that. Over all I had a great experience with having looser curls 🤗 I absolutely loved them❣️
@@alittlebitofeverything718 shedding could have actually been caused by the product too. Softsheen Carson owns wave nouveau and carefree curl. The formula is not the same anymore. I've had some clients experience shedding and breakage even though I followed all of the instructions
@MichaelJones-oz7vo yes I feel the same way I used to use Carson sheen leavening in spray (the one with the little Afro brands on it) and my hair grew like wild fire but when I went back to using it my hair started itching really bad and I just could use it anymore. Maybe had I thought of that I would have done the WN in the first place😩
It looks great!! 😍 Stylist cut hair for health, not for look. If she cut that much off, it's probably because thats what needed to be cut to promote healthy hair growth. Trust me, i know it hurts, lol. But long-term, it's beneficial 💕
I got one 6 weeks ago and I'm having problems with tangles big time! Is anyone else? How do you handle the tangles. I don't remember dealing with this.
My problem wasn't really tangles it was shedding but when I did get a snag I used mane n tail detangler, or sometimes I would use a conditioner with alot of slip comb from the ends up.
Thanks love it is definitely growing back it's only been about 2 months and I believe it's time to do it again 😆 this time I'm gonna try to wait alittle longer but I might have to do it soon 🤗 I'll have updates on my new growth soon😊
I’ve never done this before… I’m a little interested. But “some chemical processes don’t get washed out for days”? I’ve never heard that before… except with a Brazilian blow out or Japanese straightening
It’s kind of similar to those treatments as well. You shouldn’t really wash this out for at least two days to three days because the curl pattern has to form.
It look very beautiful! And very becoming! You need to just embrace the cut and see that you now have healthy hair with the color being cut off. It will grow back long and healthier!
That’s a great question because I feel like the first part of the treatment is definitely relaxing your hair so I would say you can, but it really depends on the chemicals that’s involved in the first step whether they’re the same as wave Nuvo I’m not sure.
That’s what I wanted to know 🤷🏽♀️ there was to much manipulation going on there. Smh I rather have a relaxer then to have to deal with the maintenance that’s required for a perm😩
Let me encourage you your hair will go back before you know it our way nouveau and my hair grows really fast and I cut it all the time get you some hair grease that say her food and grease your scalp three times a week and wash your hair once a month
Like 2 weeks but I think in allergic to them cause they make my scalp itch like crazy I stop using then now I Use the care free gold line and it smells amazing
The reason your hair came out that way is because you went under the dryer, Wave Nouveau does not require you to go under the dryer, it will loosen your curl pattern.
Thanks I was so unsure what was going on plus I’m not sure why she was combing out the curls as soon as she took the rollers out😩 I feel like she should have cut it first if anything or after it was straight then start the second process with the perm rods 🤷🏽♀️
