This is my son's teacher. Yes, she wrote it and sang it! She is very talented at both singing and creatively teaching our kids. The staff, children, and parents love her very much, and she is truly cares about our children. Mary often creates these parodies and shares them with the staff to spice up in-service days and make events fun for the kids. I am proud to know her and am happy to see all the appreciation she is getting...she deserves it!
Like everyone else, I was super impressed! Whoever wrote the lyrics was so clever! And the singing, photography, editing--holy smokes! All brilliant! So, so fun.
+Mary Morris congrats, you rock. In fact, I'm going to suggest to my drama colleague, that she give you some kind of award. the acting out in the video is also very good. btw, I throw my students out of room during recess :)
+Mary Morris i seen this on the news. so i checked it out. pretty cool. I forget which channel. may have been ch. 8. I usually watch all of them. either way they were bragging on how good your voice was as well. WTG girl.
I keep coming back to this song every year, because it is still SO RELEVANT! Thank you again for sharing your phenomenal vocal talent as well as your fantastic parody-crafting skills!
In Tennessee as well. Got about 8 inches of snow. This semester of college just started for me on Tuesday and I've only been Tuesday and Thursday from snow
oooo, a girl after my own heart- i always tell my fifth graders "the only thing better than a snow day when you are a kid, is a snow day when you are a teacher!" Love it- and here's to wishing for SNOW!!!
GOOSEBUMPS!!! There are a few singers that can get with the best of them and you Mrs. Morris happen to be that person. To even attempt to touch Adele and then sound sooooooo great. Im glad you are teaching the kids but I'd definitely love to hear more from you. You HAVE A GIFT!!! IM BLOWN COMPETELY AWAY....
This song brings back memories two years ago when I was in mrs.morris’ class. I will always love and remember mrs.morris as my favorite and nicest teacher
I saw this on Inside Edition today and was stunned. Mary did an outstanding job and has a lovely voice. The lyrics were hilarious. She should definitely take it to the next level with this gift.
Love you forever Mrs.Morris!!! You were a wonderful teacher, yoke leader, and awesome role model for me in and out of school! So cool to see you get the UA-cam fame you deserve with that AMAZING voice!
I taught middle school for 39 years & retired almost 3 years ago. I experienced flash backs with this video. The words and the acting perfectly explain the need for a snow day during those long winter months between Winter Break and Spring Break. Ms. Morris, your video is brilliant. I hope you got your need PJ day with this recent storm.
I teach seventh grade in Bentonville, Arkansas, and I may need to watch this EVERY MORNING. It's brilliant and will help me get through this snowless winter.
Wonderful voice! The lyrics and video production were excellent! Kudos to everyone who made this. Great job Mary... and thank you for being a dedicated teacher. I bet your students can't wait to get to class each day to see what you have planned for them next.
Sitting here in Knoxville in my pjs drinking coffee that isn’t cold!! Thankful for our first snow day of the year. Sent this song to my teacher friends. It’s perfect! Thank you!!
These Hello parodies keep getting better. "If it's gotta be so cold, the least that it can do is snow" has been my catchphrase all week. Flawless job. Great voice/video. And hella clever lyrics. A+ job all around, Ms. Mary Morris. A+.
I'm a teacher and I LOVE snow days or any day I get to be off. I've been off now since last Friday and I'm loving it!! Hoping to get more snow SOON!! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!
Excellent! Her other videos show she has some natural talent. Her students and school are lucky to have such an enthusiastic and creative teacher. Even her original "Rumor Has It" parody, CRA Test, was great.
ha ha ha! This was excellent! I remember snow days as a child when we lived in "snow states"...we would pray for them too. Well done miss Mary, well done!
Just returned to work after another 2 snow days. Our state DOE forwarded this link to tech directors across the state. Immediately sent it to every faculty member and administrator in our district. PRICELESS!
You're lucky up there in East TN on the Plateau. Down here in Middle all we get is rain. That 2 or 3 degree temp difference brings you blessed, wonderful snow.
I sent a link of this to Ellen...This is brilliant. Great job. I had seen the original of you singing it live, but this is just awesome. Very nice job.
+Tristan Glover haha 8 inches. In Colorado it could've snowed a foot and half there could be a blizzard and we would still have to go to school. Not to mention our superintendent is a psychopath and never gives snow days. I think we have the highest crash rate out of any other district because we drive in that shitty weather.
OMG...Mrs.Morris I'm so happy for u...an u have a beautiful voice...all of us kids that are at rush strong or already at the high school but had or know you...wish u the best of luck and love u.
My 8th grade language arts class in Lilburn, Georgia just watched your video as an example of a parody. Thanks. It is great. And they all agree that you sound EXACTLY like Adele. We're still praying for snow, too!
Hail to my colleague! So often we get badmouthed by people that haven't been in a school in decades. Too little respect for too much work. At least when it snows we get a tiny paid reprieve. If your school system doesn't rip you off for the day. Thanks for the resonance with all of us in the teaching world. You are a very cool person in addition to being a cool teacher according to the posts below.
+Chris Hammock I am not a teacher, but I work in a school as a recess supervisor, librarian, lunch time fill in in the office and NWEA proctor. I still totally related to this video! Only difference for me is that I don't get paid for the reprieve. However, it is still welcome!
Come to Portland Oregon! We DON'T use salt! lol When it snows and inch or two, it turns to ice, and school is cancelled. I'm all for weather good for recess. ha
I'm with you! I'm a teacher and in Portland today waiting to see if there is going to be school tomorrow..except now we are into making up the days and my kids and and I are getting a little bit of cabin fever!
This is absolutely the best thing I've see in awhile! My home town is currently awaiting the winter storm Jonas to arrive in the next hour and I know all the teachers are praying for a snow day tomorrow!
I LITERALLY LAUGHED OUT LOUD, what a an AMAZING voice you have!!! Also I think your song was good luck as we got not 1 but 2 days after I viewed this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow... Very impressed with your lyrics, voice, and video production. As a teacher, I completely empathize! Last winter (here in New England) was too insane... but this winter we haven't had one snow day yet! If it's gotta be so cold, the least that it can do is snow.... Thanks for the song, Mary!
+A Happy Dumfuk As is almost every singer out there. Some need way more effects to sound good than others. These days, you don't have to sing good to make it.

Ms. Morris 3rd grade teacher I'm in 5th now it been a while :)
Like everyone else, I was super impressed! Whoever wrote the lyrics was so clever! And the singing, photography, editing--holy smokes! All brilliant! So, so fun.
I wrote the lyrics myself 😊
+Mary Morris You are Brilliantly Talented!!! This is wonderful!! Becky~ from Maryville~ Get yourself to "The Voice" auditions!!!!
+Rebecca Wilson Upload this to "Ellen" You Tube channel I tried but couldn't.
I heard on the news Mary wrote the lyrics her self. I thought it was great.
+Rebecca Wilson I tried uploading my videos to EllenTube to and it wouldn't go through, let's protest her website.
this entire production kicks some serious a$$, in every sense. If the teacher actually sang this, she has an amazing voice!
+Bogey B I did :) Thanks!
+Mary Morris congrats, you rock. In fact, I'm going to suggest to my drama colleague, that she give you some kind of award. the acting out in the video is also very good. btw, I throw my students out of room during recess :)
Why you are truly talented. An amazing voice not to mention you a creative and fun. Just awesome!
+Mary Morris Excellent job!!

Not to mention Adele needs to see this
Teacher for 33 years! I love teaching & my students. Thank-you for this..how true & lovely!
This was BRILLIANT
+Evan Edinger No pun? I am shocked.
+Evan Edinger this is indeed a very _cool_ parody
Can I just find you in every comment section of videos?
Same Evan, but no pun? Ok then.
evan you are brilliant
I can listen to this song anytime day or night. Mary Morris rocks! She should sing this song at the Golden Globes or Oscars.
How has this not gone viral yet, it's so much better than all those other snow day parodies!
it has! I just seen it on the news!
Nothing goes viral without sharing, people sending it in to EllenTube for others to watch. How hasn't anything gone viral ?
+Daya Ryelle-Remar I know I just know found out about it by watching it
Because people don't have the patience to sit through 50 seconds of nothing/build up
Trim that and thank me in the morning ;)
Went viral
Lol best line is the last... "we need lots of snow days, but not so much we have to make them up..."
SO TRUE
This song is EXACTLY how I feel! I mean, I love my kiddos but man there is nothing like an extra day of freedom!
Mrs. Morris was one of my 4th grade teachers and she is so talented. every christmas i always listen to this song. it brings back so much memories

Absolutely wonderful! Our state of Tennessee has a long, long history of great music. Maybe Mary Morris will be our next star!
Mrs. Morris is gonna come in on Monday a celebrity. Strawberry Plains Elementary or whatever it is called is going to be bombarded with paparazzi :P
+Lindsay Resnick Hahaha, they'll probably be closed on Monday again! We're due to get slammed again with snow tonight.
+Amber Hagood , Yes I just dropped the wife off in pigeon forge and the roads are now covered
I was surprised to see that Pigeon Forge wasn't covered earlier today on the news. Hawkin's County is horrible right now!
can I have whatever snow you guys are looking at. :(
I know, I'm in Atlanta and we had a little bit yesterday but only enough to make like one snowball
I love it....if I have to keep my students inside one more time from recess......I feel you......
oooo, a girl after my own heart- i always tell my fifth graders "the only thing better than a snow day when you are a kid, is a snow day when you are a teacher!" Love it- and here's to wishing for SNOW!!!

"if it's gotta be so cold least it could do is snow" That's Albuquerque for you.

ha ha ha! This was excellent! I remember snow days as a child when we lived in "snow states"...we would pray for them too. Well done miss Mary, well done!
The best part about this was watching knowing they only need an inch or so to get a snow day in TN. It doesn't take much but it's still so hard to get
Just returned to work after another 2 snow days. Our state DOE forwarded this link to tech directors across the state. Immediately sent it to every faculty member and administrator in our district. PRICELESS!
I play this every single time I want a snow day.
You're lucky up there in East TN on the Plateau. Down here in Middle all we get is rain. That 2 or 3 degree temp difference brings you blessed, wonderful snow.
This is phenomenal! The lyrics, her singing and the editing! How can this not be a professional?
I love this song. Everyone, she is the best person and teacher you will ever meet. I loved having her for third grade. Love you mrs.morris❤️

What a wonderful voice, Mary!! Wow!! I do hope there are talent agents ready to sign you in! A very distinct and refreshing sound! Brava!
The funny part is that I'm pretty sure Tennessee just got hit by the blizzard with the 14 other states. I hope she gets her snowday! Lol.
+ChelseaBreathesAir I live about 30 minutes from her and we all got like an inch. lol
I live in Tennessee and yes we did. Got about 8 inches her and more in other areas.
This teacher is around Knoxville. Nashville got a lot of snow as did most of middle TN and the Cumberland Plateau. Knoxville got very little.

Stunning! She managed to capture the essence of what a snow day means to a teacher!!! I'll be singing this next snow day!
YES!!!!( I teach in Philadelphia, Pa)
No snow in Florida, but those rainy days on end. I feel you. Well done!!
Did the teacher actually sing this? Holy shit.
Yes. She did. I know Mary personally. She is very talented.
+Benjamin Myers I love your last name! I wonder if we r related lol.
+Benjamin Myers tell her she needs to become a singer she is amazing
+A Happy Dumfuk No amount of effects can make up for a weak voice, or hide a truly strong voice. This woman can legitimately sing.
+A Happy Dumfuk As is almost every singer out there. Some need way more effects to sound good than others. These days, you don't have to sing good to make it.
This is so good!
ASTOUNDING! Concept, voice, execution, cinematics, sound, lyrics, and uniformly superb. This teacher is a superstar. Perfect vid for the Northeast Blizzard.
listen to this song to hope for SNOW days
love this...has all the more meaning as a teacher on the east coast! :-)
Snow days don't exist where I live. We could be hit by a blizzard and we would still have to get to class.
+monkeystandoffsucks The apocalypse could be raining down fire and we would still have to go to class.
