Theres only one race the human race. All this mixed race nonsense is in itself racist because it's implying were different races when were all humans we all bleed red and the only difference is our skin color you breed two cats one is black and the other is white what new race of cat is it?? It's not its a cat not another type of animal race were all humans not alians.

I'm half chinese and half african american. I can relate on what the girl sad said about cutrural day at schools. They make us get in a group with our country and I choose to go with china. I can always feel peoples stares because my skin and features are a little different. Other times when im eating lunch my black and asian friends would usually say stuff like "your not fully asian" or "your not fully black" or saying i cant say this or i cant do that. Most of the time its a joke but it hurts

"Its part of my identity, not my whole identity". I like that. I should say that. I am mixed race and people often make it seem I have to chose but when I do seem to chose or talk about one side then I'm not enough. It's annoying. Can people stop asking where I'm from or what am I. Can I just go and be a human. Its given me identity issues all my life and it's very frustrating

@DecolonizeMexico & Aztlan identity is much more than ethnicity or race. Humans mature and build the most of their identity through experience. This experience could be gathered in the midst of others from the same ethnicity or in a totally different environment.
Race, ethnicity, skin colour should just be single points on the profile and not weighty enough to define a person's existence. Since we "receive" all of those at birth and can do nothing but accept them, but can choose who we eventually become as people. No one wants to be defined by things they didnt choose themselves and cannot change.
Being or learning to be proud of what you received is important, but mixing that with someone else's shouldn't be an abomination to you or to your children. They can also be proud of theirs
Race mixing is far from being genocide

My Mom being white , and my Dad being asian and pacific island, has nothing to do with me as a person and I believe that to treat other different due to race or to think of yourself differently due to race is not healthy for you.

Americans place more importance in ethnicity because American society has a lot of fear and misunderstanding of what they don't understand. There's less social encounters outside of race in some parts of America. A lot of Americans only socialize daily within their own ethnicity.

What do you tell your children what they are, who they are, where do they come from? This topic tends to be dealt with in ways that reduce beautiful human beings to absurdity and caricature.

Apparently, there are benefits to marrying within the same race.

    • @finn3102
      @finn3102 Рік тому

I believe that people should find love wherever they choose. That said, it is generally a lot easier marrying within your own race. A lot of mixed race people have identity issues, and difficulty finding spaces & communities whereby they feel fully embraced. Mixed people may be closer to one parent's side, but often don't feel 100% accepted by either side. For example someone who is half Chinese and half white, will never feel one in the same with fully Chinese or white people. Always somewhat of an outsider. It is also a lot easier when you marry into the same ethnicity and culture you belong to. Case in point Japanese and Filipinos have vastly different cultures. A Japanese/ Filipino marriage would present with a lot of cultural differences, which may cause friction.

All of Daddy's ancestors 🙄 came ❤ from The British Isles 🙄 and America. All of Mommy's ancestors came from Southeast Asia and Japan. Growing up, I was always confused about my identity. I wondered, "am I more Celtic-UK-American or Asian-American or am I both?" I was struggling with my identity and so were my 6 little brothers. Me and my 6 little brothers felt like we didn't exist. My 7th grade teacher bullied me about being biracial and told me that I gotta be more white and less Asian. She told me that I'm too Asian to be in her school. Then she started saying that I was fresh and mean and evil and defiant and rude. Really?! I just have a reserved personality and I'm shy and awkward. I'm actually a very nice person!

There has been no migration from Balkans to Poland, actually the opposite happened where you have Croats who can trace their ancestry to Poland

I happen to have a new neighbor, whom I knew was foreign born the first time I saw her. Meaning, she looks rather different than white American women. I politely asked her "where are you from". Sure enough.... she is Lithuanian. lol

All of my belongings were then stolen by my family of toxic Narcs & my daughter’s silence bought in exchange for disowning her dad. My Jehovah’s Witness aunt was also found to be abusing her young son & is still a Witness to this very day whereas I’ve been shunned & have had absolutely every single belonging stripped or stolen from me including my whole entire music collection. In engaging these discussions one has to bear a few things in mind. One of those is the trendy notion of POC (people of color), what this is, why it is, who it is and, the purple elephant in the room, African Americans, Black Americans, African American issues, African American identity issues, Multi-racial African American identity and issues and, this versus issues of multi-racial POC's and others. Again, who are POC's? Are they everyone excluding Blacks; including Blacks. Who are the others in this discussion. Don't forget the chartreuse elephant in the room, the scary "One drop of Black Blood" rule which is enforced way more fanatically by Blacks than by Whites. As serious as this discussion is, it has a way of being reduced to absurdity by trendy media resources. A Swedish and Austrian mixed individual, is this really a discussion of mixed race people. Why are individuals that are White and Asian considered "White" while individuals that are White and African American are exclusively and 100 percent considered completely Black, even when they might be blond, blue eyed, and fair complected.
Where do we begin? Who will be the first to take a stab at this?

I think the one drop rule is an American thing started during slavery and is “enforced” equally by black and white people. People now understand it is illogical.
You said people who are white and Asian are considered white….in my experience that is not the case
A lot of times people just can’t tell so a person who is mixed will have to say that or you just come to know it after getting to know somebody
