    I was looking to get rid of one of my two digital mixers to clear out some equipment and pick up a few bucks.
    I have an X32 Rack, and a Presonus 16.0.2. Thanks to your video, I'll be holding on to the X32.

    I also have a rack similar to this. Mine, however, is a 6 space. It houses a nowsonic router, a power conditioning thing that doesn’t condition (none do, that’s called marketing), and the x32 rack. On the back are I/O panels to get the 16 channels into the mixer, aux inputs (XLR connectors), and outputs (XLR from the 8 outputs and aux outs). Then a USB (for recording), two RJ45 jacks (for AES50 A&B), another RJ45 Jack for Ethernet to my laptop computer. Another one space blank with bnc connectors for the router antennas.
    My issue is that it weighs about 75 pounds and is just able to be carried into the house up some steps for programming the next show, remixing recordings, etc… I couldn’t lift yours up some steps. I have a four space rack for wireless mics.
    I used to have a 20 space rack with slant 10 space on top where I put a monitor. Two presonus rack 32 channel mixers for 64 channels. And a 32 channel splitter. Had a shelf for a desktop computer and a 100lb UPS. That dude was HEAVY! Never again. Anyway, once Presonus stopped supporting their mixers I made the switch to x32. Now I want a wing rack.

      That sounds like a great set up! I agree, they get heavy quickly! One of biggest concerns on jobs sites is stairs. We just got a ramp for the back of our work van and it has made a world of difference for load in and load outs. Thanks for watching the video!

    Audiopile makes great stuff and Mark (owner) is great... Worth checking out. Our marching band had similar woes with Gator cases - they don't use quality latches, etc.

      We have other gear from Gator that has held up fine, but our rack is on it last leg with less than 3 years under its belt.

    Regarding cases, I like SKB although I have not used their rack within a rack model. Also, they are close to me here in CA so that is a factor.

      Thanks for watching, glad you like the videos! I really like my X32 Rack Mixer because it is light and easy to transport and I don't mind mixing on an iPad. At most gigs I am either alone or just with my wife so a full sized console is just too much to handle. The rack does everything I need and the small footprint is great when you don't have a ton of space designated for you at a gig. If you don't mind mixing on an iPad and are looking for something that one person can handle alone, the rack might be for you!

    Man go with seismic audio or SKB! I definitely prefer having the casters with seismic. I was skeptical at first seeing as how cheap they were but MAN they are built like tanks with that all wood construction. Might want some sort of AC infinity fan for the heat tho!

    So you have your Shure mics AND four channels of IEM? Is there much of a demand for rentals on the IEM side or is that more to have a complete package?

    • @SilverCreekAudio
      @SilverCreekAudio  2 місяці тому +1

      Most bands around the area prefer to use IEM rather than floor monitors. We just leave them in the rack when we're not using them.

    What is the difference of furman power conditioner ans voltage regulator?

    • @SilverCreekAudio
      @SilverCreekAudio  29 днів тому

      No matter what the input AC voltage is, the output is always 120VAC. Is it worth the cash? Up to the user I suppose.

    • @SilverCreekAudio
      @SilverCreekAudio  3 місяці тому

      Hey Allen, I've never run into that particular issue with Ubiquiti products. Before I make any big changes though, I always make sure that the IP address on my mixer and whatever wireless controller i'm using are in agreement with each other.
