A lot of taxpayers money goes on subsidies to companies that later pull out of dud renewable projects eg, green hydrogen ( Ziggy Forrest),the Hunter Valley Hydrogen hub, now the Illawarra off shore wind project, and others.
Exactly , like the Labor party and the unions 😂, someone has to build a lot of this infrastructure, so it’s a fair bet the unions are getting jobs for boys and doing favors for the Labor party , at least they were before the lovers tiff😊. However I’m still betting in the background there are still power players pulling the strings on both sides. Politics is a dirty business !
Of course " renewable " won't be cheaper. To provide stable power 24 hours per day every day you will probably need 3 sources. Storage for nite and the wind and sun don't always happen. Sometimes nothing. Nuclear works all the time.
24/7 reliable nuclear 😂😂 power not hit and miss renewables, battery storage what a com that is, charged when prices are low or zero, then resell to the grid at a premium and any profits are channelled overseas, no return to the tax payer subsidised battery plants, a reduction in power prices, you gotta be joking. 😂
Yeah look at the wholesale price all day when the sun is shining. Its negative. So a solar company cannot possibly be making any money on the NEM So theyre making all theirmoney off subsidies and secret deals. No wonder they say commercial in confidence
Renewables don't work for a small country the size of Tasmania in Europe, what chance is that scheme going to work in this country? We are too spread out and need wires to connect all the wind and solar farms to the grid. It's like asking Portugal to supply Romania. Great that AEMO doesn't count that into their costing. As you say... bound by what the Gov says, not reality. We should have gone nuclear 30 years ago, at best Scomo should have done a deal with the French when he polaxed the sub deal......build us some reactors with your technology! That we have an embargo in legislation against nuclear is shameful. Nothing good will come from what this Gov has started, I hope it can be reversed but polling shows otherwise, Dutton still on the whiff. We were the lucky country, now we are the forsaken country. Too many dumb, uniformed people. Many years of bill pain to come. Power bills will NOT lower in the next 5 years. I feel for the next generation living here in Oz.
WHY are we Beholded to Over Seas Govt?? RIP IT UP. THIS is Klause and his " You will Own nothing and be happy".. Wow. You kick Goals and they move the Goal post.
Anyone in AEMO, that has any role in decisions affecting Australian consumers, should have to list their investment interests, before being allowed to make those decisions. Only neutral people(family included) with no investment in any of the energy sectors should be part of the process. I say hand it back to the states.
Labor has put our national security at risk for years to come. Our energy system is extremely vulnerable to current and future geopolitically unrest. Assuming Bowen succeeds in implementing a his crackpot renewable energy system, we will be beholden to China for solar panels, wind turbines and lithium storage batteries for many years, if not, for ever. Even now we have to import gas to prop up the current system. All these components will have to be progressively replaced as they coming to end of life. Total replacement every 15 years. Where will we source them from if China becomes displeased with us? Not Australia.
China's Golmud Solar Park is the world's largest solar farm, with a solar capacity of 2.8 GW-enough to power 2.8 million UK homes for just one hour, assuming the sun is shining.
@bretloyd8097 Well governments. In NSW didn't it start with Iemma Labor - you know Maurice !!The days when Eddie Obeid was around and "operating ".Emphasis on "operating ".
The Energy Market Operator was not briefed on how to answer any questions of enquiry on all topics........."I aaaaah........thank the Honourable Senator for the question and I'll "Take it on notice!!" (You idiot) And no answer ever comes. I bet the poor honest guy not used to lying, is no longer employed.
What if you have a battery and it is full. Are you still going to be charged to export energy. If that becomes the case I will disconnect from the grid while the sun shines.
It’s called a feasibility study and linked to business cases. You would do this with a new building let alone something that will collapse your country. Hard to believe .
Ten thousand a battery for 8 years thats over a thousand a battery a year...then tax WoW... imagine what I'am thinking 🤔. Making sure i have a curcit so they cant feed from my battery and it supply's most lighting power supply but 3phase and when it drops below operating use it will transfer to the grid system can i tax them that one or radio meter readers a digital frequency copy off your power use with home check supply to make sure your not being short changed.
And the scam continues
Renewables the great con
Blackout Bowens Fairytale Renewables 🏳️🌈🌈🦄💅🏼
Renewables are great, it earns you a 4.3 million dollar beach house

AEMO speaking with a forked tongue.
Corruption....
Would love to see a costing and to who and where the taxpayers money goes with renewables
Everything is a secret with Bowen, but he wants Dutton to be upfront with Nuclear.

Unfortunatly there is that much pollution in China it reduces the efficiency of the panels😊
Good luck with that in the winter months .It will get washed away when the Hwang Ho floods.
You will never get to net zero it's all a big con

"Blind acceptance". It's impossible to reason someone out of an ideological stance, that they were never reasoned into in the first place. ClieMATE
If you get sun tax easy turn off your solar areay isolator switch. It will be near your inverter or fuse box. It will be clearly marked
Just change the export setting to 0% if everyone did that they would be screaming for feed in again

Even if power generation was FREE but you will still get power bills from the LNP's deregulated energy market.
