You need to do some reading old mate! In fact, renewables like solar and wind are now the cheapest forms of new electricity generation, and their growing adoption is helping to stabilise prices in many areas. If they want renewable, why not subsidise roof top solar and batteries for all homes and businesses in Australia rather than putting turbines etc in paddocks all over the landscape.
The premise that coal fired power stations can’t have their lives extended is moronic. I'm so tired of "trust the experts". It would be more convincing if Matt Kean actually went through logic rather than bellowing "the experts say..."
Go Barnaby ❤❤❤
It's the likes of Kean that created this mess. Why would you close down power stations before you have an alternative?
This is ridiculous. AUSTRALIA HAS ITS OWN COAL .
And uranium
Gotta love Barnaby 👍
The scientist that say that intermittent power is reliable are woke environmentalists
Is that the same science that says men can be women ? Says it all doesn’t it
build nuclear, but keep the coal going till the others take over, isent that the sensible thing to do
Barnaby is right.
Kean is naive, indoctrinated and has no idea, get rid of him
MAT you Air! Remove the prohibition. There is no harm and no sense to just ban things that are working for other nations.
Kean is a total f wit
I grew up in this country when it truly was the lucky paradise it promised the world to be, now it’s slowly becoming a third world economy where it’s citizens are struggling to live in a place as rich as Australia. The political system is broken here when interests of big business is put above the citizens, where are the statesmen of the the past?, the vision of the people that built the snowy mountain dam?
We have elderly that freeze in winter and swelter in summer because of the terror of that power bill. It’s an international embarrassment.
Full marks to Barnaby Joyce on countering this insulting patronizing Matt Kean. Once again people today have so much information at hand and this is reflected in the lack of confidence in Labor. It is not longer so that these Labor politicians can get away with it no matter what.
Thank you, Banaby Joyce.
Whether it's your drinking or your family, it's your business, nobody else s
I'm in your corner. You're a great politician, wortt 50 Turdballs or Morrisons.
Bad comparison i know.
You care about the bush.
Cost of living nightmare.
Coal fired powerstations.
Move to nuclear as we can afford it.
Forget renewables completely as the infructure is too expensive.
CSIRO paid puppets...
Barnaby great 👍
Matt you are an absolute drop kick
Poor matt has been brain washed
Experts with their hand in tax payers dollars.
Wtf Australia is going dark
I have little to no trust in the CSIRO figures.
Keep calling them out Barnaby, keep calling out their BS mate
Well said Barnaby Joyce 👏. I live in a community with a Solar Micro Grid, it’s great in the Summer, terrible in the winter & we wouldn’t have ANY power without the Coal fired system supplementing us. Renewables on their own won’t work !
I do totally disagree Mat, mate, definitely 🗳💯🏡👌🇺🇸🇦🇺🙏👏 3:34
What a lot of rubbish from Kean. How much to replace the solar and wind turbines in 15 years, plus the landfill and the loss of all those beautiful trees. Why do we need a solution for our 1% emissions.
Australia shall be building gas turbines in many centres, extend coal fired power stations while we build nuclear power stations. Solar and Wind should be abandoned. We do nit have hydro which is a main source of power in Canada and some European Countries.
Coober Pedy, has its own mini grid, 250mil in debt for solar and wind farms to "power it" - yet it's big diesel "backup generators" run nearly 24/7
I share Barney’s disposition. I arc at stupidity & become almost speechless at any words to reason the unreasonable
No power, no traffic lights, no charging of anything that runs on battery
Eg - mobile phones 📵, laptops 💻
Freezers, fridges, evs, supermarkets, hospitals
etc .....
Coal 4 cents kW renewable 14 cents a kW how is it going to be cheaper
A domestic energy reserve, our gas exports are on sold, yet we are starved of supply at home
Electricity isn't the only problem that the ALP is killing us with , GAS is also being shut down, especially in Victoria. My last gas bill was the highest it's ever been for the same period as last year with no change to usage . It's the first time in 41 years of living with my wife that we've ever had to turn the heating down of even tern it of because it's far too expensive to keep warm and soon it will be too expensive to stay cool because of the price of electricity. Sack Kean , send him off to the ALP or the greens where he belongs then vote out this delusional government
If they want renewable, why not subsidise roof top solar and batteries for all homes and businesses in Australia rather than putting turbines etc in paddocks all over the landscape.
The experts are been paid off
Reality we must stop this crap. We can't continue this madness for ever.
The war in Ukraine is not responsible for our power increases... in case you've forgotten Matt Kean, we have our own coal.
Why not just upgrade the coal power stations.
Time to FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT ❤ 🇦🇺go Barnaby
Climate authority what a joke
The premise that coal fired power stations can’t have their lives extended is moronic.
The solution is to keep them running until nuclear can come on, but Labor would rather prop up foreign economies with our reliable and cheap resources, and leave us dependent on a perpetual stream of short lived and unreliable imports.
