I just upgraded from the Stans Flow S1 mk3’s that came on my 2020-21 GT Force 29 alloy to the Enduro Wide V2. Not only did I shave 1.3 lbs off of the total weight of the bike, but I went from an 18 POE rear hub to a 72 POE rear hub.
Wicked, we spoke ages ago about these and you sent me to the written review… which I ended up purchasing a set! They have been absolutely spot on with zero issues! Running them on the Bird Aether9 with Butcher/ Ground Control 👍🏻
You mention struggling to remove tyres due to H lock but the most secure I found is WTB rims and tyres. You just don't want to need a trailside repair!
Hello mate i ve got hardtail too. Im 86 kilo do you thing they will hold up well? Tell me please some impressions after some time of riding.are they still true?
@@ivannagy6427 Hi had no problems with them still true and running well I am 70kg run an insert in the rear I ride a variety of terrains from trail centres to Rocky rooty tech.
Thanks Guy for the review. I’m been looking for a Wheelset upgrade for my MTB and Hunt is on the list but I’d like the Enduro Wide V2. I have just read many negative comments about the Hunt’s from hubs falling apart to rims cracking. Not sure if this applies to the V2’s.
Hey thanks for the nice video review on these. I´ve been eyeing them for a while as an upgrade to the stock wheels that came with my 2021 stumpjumper evo comp which comes with I´m assuming pretty basic specialized wheels and shimano hubs, do you reckon this would be an upgrade over that?
Class review. I’ve a set of Trail Wides I bought in 2020. Assuming these are newer version? Was toying with the idea of Enduro Wides but maybe new Trails instead 🤔. Are they new TW tough enough for ‘enduro’?
Hey Guy, thanks for the review. I just ordered a set of these for my ‘22 StEvo comp alloy. Hoping to lighten it up a bit from the stock wheels. Curious (since tires can be so heavy too) what tires are you running? I saw the front was the Specialized Ground Control but what’s your rear tire?
Hello mate. I've been looking at these wheels. But can't decide on the trial or enduro. I do a mixture of riding my local woods and small bike parks. But do occasionally hit some tough stuff like BPW. Id say I'm a fairly average / decent rider. Would you recommend the trail or enduro wheels. My bikes a 2022 santacruz nomad 27. 5 wheels. Thanks
Trail will probably be totally fine but as soon as mention BPW i think Ring Dinger and the Enduro will definitely give you more margin for error on runs like that. As you’re on 27.5 you won’t notice the extra weight much either. How you liking the Nomad BTW?
@@GuyKesTV thanks mate. I'll go for the enduros, at first I didn't really like it. I thought it was abit OTT and hard to ride for the things I was used to riding. But after 2 days in BPW I'm Absolutely loving the bike, only way to describe it is it makes me want to ride it harder, the harder I ride it the better it rides. Gives me alot of confidence. Its the carbon C S so had a okay ish spec but feel it could do with a few upgrades, rear shock , wheels plus a few other bits
Have you used the HUNT XC wide ? I'm debating trail wide or xc wide . I'd like the option for them to be used on both my full sus or hardtail. Another thing iv been wondering is how capable is a down country tyre ?
Yeah we've had a set of the XC Wide on the go in the test team for a couple of years now and they've been great. I hammered them for a fully year and my mate's had them since and he's been pushing them hard too. No issues whatever so far. What sort of riding are you wanting to do on your bikes? DC tires? TBH I'm not totally convinced yet as the Vittoria Syerra and Schwalbe Wicked Will still feel like compromises. Not ridden the new Forekaster yet and that's meant to be very good but all of them are around 900g unless you go for a zero protection carcass. If I had to pick a tire in that category the Specialized Ground Control and Fast Trak have been great in the Control carcass.
The full sus will be black trails and the xc bike will just be single track with the odd bit off red on the lighter side . I was just thinking the 30mm trail wide would be a more versatile wheel if I faceted swapping stuff around . The idea behind the down DC tyres on the wheels was it would make my full sus more efficient and the xc bike more capable depending on the route.
The wheels are awesome have had the enduro wide for 2 plus years…. My only problem is the front bearings seem to be made of cheese. I really look after my bike and don’t run it hard and I’ve gone through 3 set on the front
This time I have used enduro…. Don’t have a bearing press so it’s not a job I can do and it’s what my lbs fitted but I’ve had 3 sets from hunt, again excellent customer service sending them even for free, but fed up of having to pay to get them fitted so paid the extra hoping these last longer.
Man you have reviewed dt swiss xm 1700.how would you compare them. And im 195lbs and riding hardtail. Mostly trail allmountain riding with some rocky section downhill. What would you recomend?
Sorry delay Ivan. In the UK these are same sort of price as DT 1900 which are a lot heavier. Compared to 1700 weights and ride feel is similar. DT bearings last a lot longer though and the rims are possibly a bit stronger. But the free hubs are a lot slower to engage than Hunt so it depends where you want the strength. For the riding you're doing I'd maybe look at the Hunt Enduro Wide anyway.
I've not ridden the Scrubs I'm afraid so can't fairly comment. Hunt are the more established company though and they've got a great customer service rep.

Going on 2 years on my Enduro Wides V1, doesn’t need a service yet. Still runs like day 1 of riding them. Best wheels I’ve ever had
Awesome! Mine just arrived and can’t wait to get them on my Scout.

How those wheels comparing to nukeproof horizon v2 ?
Horizon's are a little heavier but absolutely bombproof. Big fan of them if you're a harder rider

It’s a Fast Trak. Probably a bit light for Evo business. The stock tyres on that bike are actually a reasonable weight so I’d wear them out first.
