This as always will be abused by FIA/PTA staff. my family's passports were used last time and we didn't even know until we went to register our own phones ... even 2,3 year old kids passports were used when kids can't even legitimately have a sim on their name... imagine the level of corruption!

Totally agree with it, I travel frequnetly to Pakistan. I got a text after my first visit with this new phone that it is going to be locked as I keep my Ufone on Roaming.
The link sent in that text doesn't even work. I had to visit again in a couple of months with the same phone and same ufone and obviousely it got blocked as I landed. (it works fine aborad)
Ufone told me that I need to go to FBR office............................. and that was end of it. I just bought a local phone but you can imagine the pain for internet usage and everything on my original phone.

I am living and working in Qatar so I my advise to government of Pakistan that please allow at least one smartphone per year or after 2 years for overseas Pakistanis because they are the one who actually supports Pakistan economy thanks.

Gora basis pe di hai, I travel to Pakistan every year but was not given such an exemption. We are scared of "Goras" and have gora complex since independence. My question is; if the exemption is valid for 120 days, does that mean I will have to pay tax the following year since I visit every year or will the exemption renew on yearly basis?

2 months max chalta hai ,I had to pay tax to stay just one more month in Pakistan. I was not being granted with any extension even I had shown them that I have a return ticket for next month I only needed 30 more days -_-

I'm an overseas Pakistani and visit home almost around 2 months to see family for a period of week or two. Even if they would allow for 120 days, which means I will only be able to use it twice and then I will have to pay tax in third visit. This should be counted as per rule of overseas, like if you stay less than 120 day in country then you will be counted as overseas and this rule should be followed bases on the days of number spent in country not the countdown starts from the day of first entry in country

I am here in Pakistan from 26 Nov and my mobile exemption would end on 26 Jan.
I’m planning to go on ummrah on 20 Jan and return to Pakistan by the second week of February. So in Feb the 60 days limit would be renewed on my mobile from Feb?
P.s: I am an overseas Pak and would fly back to my destination in April.

Maine s9 yahan UAE mein 250AED ka liya. Aur Pakistan mein ais pe tax 40K ka laga liken nahin pay kiya maine. Aur araound 1 saal bad wohi mobile pe sims open hai ab signal's arahy hai aur 100% ok hai ab. Ye kuch months pehly phone open howa hai automatic
