@@OhmS3456he’s saying that’s what Daniel is known for. There are many videos of him calling a players exact hand that beats him, he calls anyway, and loses just like he knew he would.
No if he bets pot on the river you are supposed to call(or raise) 33% of time at least , but definetely not 100%, you wont get reliable enough reads on him,in fact he is much more likely to fool you so dont even play the leveling game and stick to the fundamentals.
@@Reypstraptor4269 Agreed. From what I've watched, Negreanu's reads and predictions are actually usually independent of whether he's bluffing or not. He's not trying to force a fold, he's trying to shake confidence, whether that leads to a bad call or a bad fold. If he's unsure of his read, he just wont say it. In any case, it's best to just play poker.
@ensomniiac If you take a look online, it's happening at the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto. Between March 22nd and April 1st. 8 events are happening with a 2k main.
Tbf, it's Daniel Negreanu. He has a reputation for being one of the absolute best readers and players in poker. He would bluff 99% of people with ease.
Exactly. The only scenario where u check the river and then fold after is if you were somehow able to limp along with a bad hand and now you're being raised out.
I feel like once I get really good at poker and I run into this situation I will always pick the dumbest options. Going all in baby! If I’m gambling that money means nothing to me and I’m willing to lose it all anyway lol.
The best one, Daniel knows the other guy has AA, so he says "I'm putting you on AA, so I will bet this much" the guy insta mucks AA to Daniels stone cold bluff.
Sad to say tht it wudnt work against people who just started playing poker, they'll call if they hit something decent and wont care how good of a bluff u build before the flop and after that.
Fatigue. Look at the overall chip stack. Ppl end up folding because they have to climb mountains and have already hit their limits.. mind games start within self. Guy folded because he didn’t have the Ace, he had the 9. Dude who bluffed could afford to bluff but he did it wearily because he was trying to buy the pot with a bluff. Dude revealed so many tells he should have been called because Guy actually had something worth contesting with.
Talk about being an arm chair poker player. The game isnt "hehe i have winning hand, i bet". These arent nameless faceless players. Negreanu is usually a very aggressive player, so Robinson is hoping Negreanu would bet into him with a weak pair like a 5, or even try to bluff after flop. Negreanu broke his usual pattern, and instead bluffed on the river, making Robinson believe he had the Ace and made the run. This is called a Polarizing play/bet, which Robinson even mentioned in table talk. Maybe you learned something about how the game is *actually* played at a high level, and youll be able to appreciate just how greatly played of a hand this was on both sides.
If he really had an Ace he would not scare the opposite party with do you have a 9 J, because he would instead encourage him to go along for more profit. So if he said that to me I definitely would call it.
Bruhhh I'm tryna put myself in his situation and no way hey thought the other guy had better odds with a straight in his hands....literally the next best hand I would've thought possible would maybe be 3 of a kind....the lack of analysis is to be blamed here

It helps that he is friendly, too. He's not arrogant about his ability, but has pride and humility in balanced measure.
I'd be uncontrollably dry heaving after that "I thought you had a 9"
