A Ghanaian here who lived in ivory Coast for 10 + years. Abidjan (aka La perle des lagunes) is truly beautiful and I have many wonderful memories from my time there..Love that city and have many friends there. 🇬🇭❤️🇨🇮 More people need to visit ivory Coast! One thing though... we need our francophone brothers and sisters to fight for full emancipation from French control. To be honest, all Africans must unite against neocolonialism so that mama Africa will be free and her resources used to serve the needs of all her people rather than lining the pockets of the political classes or being siphoned away to develop the economies of France, US, UK, Canada, etc. at the expense of Africans. Let's unite as Africans and may Africa rise again.
After sud Africa, Ivory Coast is the second subsaharienne African country that host many different African nationalities. Many Ghanaian & Nigerian etc… have been living their for years. Ivory Coast is a place to be for a settlement and for investment. From nothing any determined person with a fighting spirit Can easily become very very rich. I Know what what I'm talking about cuz I'm Big Witness of it. 5 to 10 years more, if there is no any political instabily, this country could overtake Ethiopia and Kenya. I'm quite sure for the prospective of this blessed country.

About 40% of the Ivorian population are ethnic Akans. Ghana ethnically and culturally is closer to Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 and Togo 🇹🇬 than to Nigeria 🇳🇬. But because anglophone Ghana And Nigeria are surrounded francophone countries Ghana and Nigeria were forced together.
@@s.tanh9818 Sorry brother, maybe some Akans left Ghana through the Oseï Tutu and opokou ware wars of conquest as you claim. Dakon nephew of Oseï Tutu and maternal great uncle of opokou ware who killed him. Following his murder which caused 3 years of civil war in the Ashanti kingdom, his younger sister our queen whom we all venerate Baoulé nanan Abenaa opokoua niece of Oseï Tutu decides to leave the kingdom with the supporters of his brother Nanan Dakon to immigrate to Côte d'Ivoire, while being chased by opokou ware. To protect herself from opokou ware, she had to change her name by becoming Queen Abla Pokou, by abandoning our Twi language to speak Baoulé which is a mixture of Twi, Agni and N'zima, the peoples who hosted us during our exodus before having our final lands. We are from N'suta and let's celebrate every th year the akwasidae on the land of our ancestors by sending a delegation. Thank you dear brother.
I think that the Ivory Coast will become expensive soon as well. Normally, the cost of living gradually increases in developing countries until there are multiple exponential booms.
Abidjan is in the akan region of Cote D'ivoire (South east). the Akans are the biggest ethnic group in Ivory Coast, hence the akwaaba! and it's spelt phonetically according to French grammar and dictation rules and reg
Lovely country back in the day Abidjan was dubbed little Paris. I visited in the mid 90s as a kid and I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it. I've always wanted to go back. Transportation, roads, standard of living is significantly better than Ghana. They also seem to be disciplined than Ghanaians.

Ghana has to seriously develop some pricing regulations. They could've had a long term customer but because of their greed, they told this man that he would need to spend $3k-4K. Absolutely appalling.
Why do u want to control price. Businesses decide their profit they want to make. Take it or leave it. Regulate price and business will outsource it's vacancies or close. You can't force anyone to give you any price that you want. Obviously you don't know anything about business. It's different from non profit charity!
@@DubG9 but I commented on price because without price you will not be talking about greed. Greed=profit=pice=money. They are all connected. I picked what I wanted to comment on. I had many options. If nobody set a pice you would not be talking about greed. Correct?
@Sam Kwak Artistic based on what? Seriously, I believe this city is stuck in the 70s. They look like Lagos buildings in the 70s. The buildings aren't modern they are old designs. Despite Abidjan is cleaner than Lagos the buildings aren't better than those in Lagos.
U base it on Anglo and Francphone? Are u dumb? U know we are basically same people who are both creative and artistic right ? What kind of colonized mind is this?
@@youme1414 Your opinion is so strange. Do you know a building's lifespan ? When do you think most of New york, Chicago, Sao Paulo have been built, a lot of them are 60's, 70's and 80's buildings. Do you know when Sears tower now called willis tower in Chicago have been inaugurated, in 70's; the empire state building have been constructed between 1929 and 1931, so it's a 90 years old structure. You would have said a lot of this city buidings need a rejuvenation work, I would agree. And have those 70's Lagos buildings been destroyed ?
@@edmonloba2235 What is your point? Those are landmark buildings and they might likely remain like that for long time to come and continued to be maintained. Other modern buildings are taking the place of those which aren't landmark buildings in those cities you mentioned. Yes, Abidjan CBN looks like Lagos CBN in the 70s. You can clearly see them from an aerial view. I like the greeneries and the same can be said of Lagos in the 70s. If you can do some searches you would find them on UA-cam. Thank you.
@@youme1414 You're so funny. So what if they are landmark buildings, are they not used, occupied, functionnal and still attract many tourists from worldwide ? When you watch at Manhattan pics in 60's and 70's, you will see that at least half of skycrappers we see today in manhattan were already built at this time. We are talking about symbolic buildings in usa towns and other biggest cities that are still occupied by major companies workers despite it is 50 to 90 years old. Most of NY, Chicago, etc.. skycrappers have been built in 80, 70, 60's years but when you have a look of their downtown, do they look outdated ? My question is, have your Lagos 70's buildings been destroyed ? These buildings in Abidjan downtown have been for the majority been built in 70's and a few ones in the early 1980's, they have for some of them been renovated and new buildings projects are on the road. The fact is that a lot of investments and projects in construction have been freezed or canceled because of the +15 years war/political crisis. My point is tall buildings have been conceived to last even more than a century and above, they just need to be rejuvenated and adapted to current users needs. When you look at Rome, Vienna, Paris buildings, a large part of them have been constructed 200 or 300 years ago, it is what make these cities unique and attract millions of tourists in those cities, yearly. So my point is : talking about the construction period of a building as a negative issue is pointless as those ''old'' buildings were planned to last for a very long time and new, recent buildings add up and the whole constitute every city architectural identity.
