pretty cool! I didn't even know she was doing it that age till this interview - I honestly think everyone should interview their family to find out new things :)
I know you thought you were the only international star in your family! Nope she was a teenager doing big things! I’m surprised I don’t know if I would let my 16 year old move to another Continent without me!
The younger aunt in red & white polka dot jump suit is on point. I’ve been in Amerikkk for 57 years. Ghana might not have the infrastructure of America but the people of Ghana is warm & loving. Small world, I’m from Nashville Tennessee. Your aunts live here and they are in the medical profession. Did you know Meharry Medical College in Nashville is the first black medical college in America. Both me and my wife graduated from there. 👍🏿
@@VanessaKanbi your aunt the dancer is so cool and I love her present career path. Glad to have invaded their past with you. Just can’t stop imagining how dancing in the 80s around the western world was. You’re lucky to have them.
Am soo so so glad to see Cecilia kanbi once again. I was in the same classroom with Cecilia in Datus Preparatory School at Bubuashie. What a Joy, to see her again way back in 78, 79. Cheers
Went to high school with your auntie Mary, she’s hilarious! I have been following you for quite some time! Keep up the good work. Like Mary said there’s content on Ghana I didn’t know either! The house built with Rafia was awesome!
Auntie Grace - you made me cry when you talked about heart and compassion! RESPECT to the women of Ghana - I hope to move there soon (from France). I'm an expat American "octoroon" - Africa is calling me HOME.
What a lovely beautiful family you have, Vanessa. And you all bear such an uncanny resemblance-the cheekbones!! Real give away of the Kanby bloodline!! A generational hand-me-down!!🤣🤣🤣 Super!!
@Dj Dezz Brother Brother, I understand that feeling. We have all had this feeling in the West. Look at the possibilities you have and if they allow you to come and see your family, do it. Morally it will help you a lot.❤️
You are from a great educated and classy family. Im an RN too and your Auntie is right...compassion is key. The money is ok but you have to love doing it. It's not easy. Im not sure why your Aunt questions keeping Kanbi as part of your names. Its very common even in the west to hyphenate married with maiden names. Moreover...the name is very pronounceable like your other Aunt said. Id keep it too😊
Great interview with the aunties. Been in America for over 2 decades, and homesick now... last time I visited was over 19 years ago and only stayed for 17 days.
I’ve got to say that your interview with your aunts was beautiful. The love was palpable and your genuine happiness that they did it was heart warming. I too really enjoy your vlog and will be skipping Europe and making Ghana my next major foreign trip because of what you have shared on your channel. Thanks 🙏🏾
Thank you so much for introducing us to your lovely aunts! They remind me so much of me and my sisters, Liberian style. 🇱🇷. They are so right about you providing great content on your channel ☺️☺️
You are doing amazing work! You truly are! I reached out to you and you were kind enough to message back, things are still ongoing but the fact you messaged and was even able to point us in the right direction was something i am very grateful for❤❤❤❤💞
That was so awesome Vanessa, meeting more of your family and I definitely ditto what one aunt said about you having great content🥰 God bless you & your family more🙏🤗🌹
Beautiful interview with your aunts. I understand their love and need to return home even though they've built lives in the US. I have traveled extensively, including throughout East, West and South Africa. I even lived in Kenya for 3 years. I am "Black" American with considerable Indigenous and European DNA but West Africa is the ancestral homeland of the majority of my forefathers with almost as many coming from England, Scotland and Ireland. When I visit any of these places, I definitely feel an affinity, as though my ancestors were calling out to me. However, it always seems that the sun shines brighter, the water is wetter and the air is sweeter wherever you call home. For me after being well over 400-500 years removed from the continent, home for me is the U.S.
Great conversation and such beautiful woman and you look just like them especially Mary and Cicilia. Just like my family, the eyes have it. Thank you for sharing. 💖
You are one of the luckiest girl in the world to have this lovely families around you. You are really a princess, keep it up! God bless you all more and more in Jesus Christ Name Amen.
Greetings Vanessa Kanbi, it's very nice to see your Auntie's and I am also loving your tan as your melanin is on fire. The you for sharing Queen Kanbi.
Another great video Vanessa but please please please can you interview your mum I would love to see the Scottish side of your family too. I know you’re all about your Ghanaian side but it would be nice to see the other side of your heritage to.
Are we just going to ignore how elegant and beautiful they are? Come on!
They are beautiful and very interesting
Yup 😊😊😊
When u live in Africa, u couldn't wait to go overseas, but then when u get there, u quickly realize how stressful it it.
Not all the glitters is gold. Also, the grass is not always green on the other side.
Pure truth!!
@jay blaze That is true 🙏🏿
Its funny how they came to america , im american and wanna leave this place...!
The stress is alot.
16 and half and she was touring the world...wonderful 😍

Haven’t yet but in the process thanks to this channel too!

You can hear their southern USA accents. I love it!
I thought it was just me that heard it.
I dont hear it. Black people typically dont have southern accents. Its a white thing.
Yes definitely Texas or Tennessee accents
Especially the middle one
@@trueamerican769 so not true.
I hear a southern accent from the Auntie in the middle. Great video, beautiful ladies.

Yes I love Vanessa because she is honest and she doesn’t lie either with fake click bait titles!
Love how the middle aunty took over the interview and started asking Vanessa the questions, nice
"Africa to the world" by Wide Maya, " GHANA to the world" by Vanessa. You are A TRUE BLACK PRINCESS. we Love You.
