Love, love, love the HBNC! It's always so fun to see how you're using your notebooks and planners, and it gives me so many ideas for using my own! Over the weekend, my bestie hooked me up with a ton of scrapbook paper/cardstock, TN inserts, other notebooks, pens, washi tape, and sticky notes! Neither of us will have to buy ANY stationery for probably the next century! LOL I turned the biggest notebook (a full-sized TUL notebook on metal HP discs!) into my writing notebook. For one section, I reprinted the Writer Reset workbook and filled it in again. The other sections are To Do (project planning and to-do list pages), RTW (Refilling the Well--anything related to that), and Notes (for everything else). I love it! I know I've set up other writing notebooks before, but there's something different about this one. Setting it up and redoing the Writer Reset helped me figure out why I haven't been writing for so long. Long story short, I discovered I was still under an old mindset that I thought I'd changed. Now I actually HAVE changed it, and I feel a lot better about my writing in general. Thanks again, Sarra! 💖💖💖💖
Re: drinking water... I drink barely enough to keep a cactus alive. So I track my coffee and tea too. That way there's 6 cups per day checked off, instead of one or two. There's more of a feeling of accomplishment, instead of shame or failure. Once I get to the point where I'm getting more than 8 cups per day on most days, I plan to add a third column to my little table to show water on column #2 and beverages in column #3. Again, to feel accomplished. This is how I currently mark it in my planner, I have a little 2 column table with 8 rows. The first column lists 1-8 (for the 8 cups of fluid I'm supposed to drink). The second column is where I write coffee, tea, juice, water, etc. Because my cup is 16 ounces, I bracket two boxes together. For me there's a fine line in cup size. If it's too small, I procrastinate refills (except for tea pots, I love refilling my tea cup if the pot is on my desk with me). If a cup is too big, I get overwhelmed and won't reach for it. Besides, I like drinking from a pretty cup or delicate glass... Like they always say, enjoy the journey as well as the destination! 💖🌞🌵😷
Love how you've added the diverse reads section ❤ These videos inspired me to start journalling once a week. I've turned it into a little routine where I remind myself of what I've accomplished over the last week, and what I'm grateful for. A year ago, I would never have dreamed of using such a fancy notebook for anything. But you've been such a positive influence on me. We need to use our nice things, we deserve it! 🎉
Hi Sarra! It's been a while since I commented under your videos, as I haven't really had the time (especially the energy) to watch them since I started my new job. But this year, I've decided to organize my time better in the evenings, to find a routine that allows me to relax after a long day under pressure, and the playlist containing the notebook challenge videos is currently one of them. Every evening for several weeks now, I've been watching a video and it's been doing me a world of good. They're clearly comfort videos for me, in the same way that Friends is my refuge TV show. It's always great to see all these notebooks, the way you use them and as I've said in the past, to feel less alone with this "problem" of having tons of notebooks and not wanting to use them for fear of ruining them. So I'm taking advantage of this new video to thank you, because it helps me enormously to relax and feel better when the day hasn't been very good.
Love the Make the Days Count notebook! And I love the notebook challenge videos. They have motivated me to use all my notebooks. I enjoy having separate notebooks for separate things.
The monthly notebook challenge videos are my favorite! I love the reminder to use what you have instead of being too precious with them or feeling like you can't repurpose old things. Even though I don't use spiral notebooks, I love seeing what you do with yours!
I love these videos. They're some of my favorites to watch, and I've been trying to find others who do these kind of videos so I can see what they're using and how... An idea for your B6 plotting notebook after you've completd and published the novel, if you want to fill up more pages, is to add quotes from people who've read it, whether to you personally or in reviews (if you're someone who reads reviews). That way, you can look back through it and see how all the work you've done in the notebook has correlated in how readers connect with it. I think that would be really cool.
I love the monthly norebook videos. They help me stay on track with my notebooks. I find them so relaxing and a break in my week. I sit down with a cuppa and watch and just take some time for me. The black notebook would become a treasured part of my collection, I would use it as my story book. ❤
Hi, Sarra! I totally agree with you about these HBNC videos being a comfort! I've been looking forward to this one because you have inspired me to start 90-Day planning, so I'm looking at this like, a transition month into Q2. Financially I can't swing HB90 this time around, but if all my plans go well, I'll be there next time! I have 3 main notebooks I'm challenging myself to start and keep up with this month: 1.) EC A5 Ring Binder - I bought the Colorblends binder a couple of years ago and unfortunately never made good use of it. I still had the planner inserts for March-June 2023 so I used correction tape to convert them to 2024! I had purchased extra notes pages, so those are in there, and I also plan on purchasing a hole punch so that I can use other notebooks around that size and keep them inside, too. Journal pages, to-do lists, brainstorming, story notes, whatever I want! 2.) RocketBook Fusion Notebook - Another tool I've had for a year of so and haven't made full use of. This reusable notebook has monthly and weekly spreads, project planning, idea tracking, and mulitple dot grid and lined notebook pages. I started using it as a novel brainstorming/plotting notebook and I want to keep using it for that, but I also realized that I can set it up for multiple uses, so I'm hoping to make this my main portable notebook that I have with me whenever I want to take notes - then I can scan them to the appropriate locations, erase the pages, and reuse them! 3.) Hobonichi Techo 2024 Planner (One Piece Edition) - I have been soooooo scared to use this that it has remained blank this whole year so far, but that's okay because I was mainly planning to use it as a story study notebook on One Piece where I read the manga for the first time and re-watch the anime from the beginning concurrently and document my thoughts on plot, characters, adaptation, etc. Might re-watch the live action and include that as well. I think I'm finally ready to start that project, so March is the month! Whew! That was long, and I'm sure you won't have time to read it all, but it was super helpful to type it all out for myself! Thank you so much for all that you do. Your openness and honesty about your struggles and accomplishments, your passions and goals, is so very inspiring in so many ways! Good luck wiht your challenge this month!
Notebook Challenge videos are my comfort videos too! I’m always on the lookout for new ideas of ways to use them, or new notebooks I may want to buy. Lately I’ve been reading How to Take Smart Notes by Sonke Ahrens and gravitating more toward notecards for planning and keeping track of my ideas and stories. We’ll see how it goes. I may be back in my notebooks within the week 😁
These are my favorite videos. They've absolutely allowed me to start using more of my notebooks with more joy and less "I'm going to mess it up!" My first Hobonichi Techo Cousin was 2019. I love the paper but the format didn't work for me. I kept trying so random pages are used. Now I've got all the chunks of blank pages marked and it's my plotting notebook and I love it. The Erin Condren Make the Days Count I used as a 2-year diary to fill out at night with just a list of what goals I'd worked on during the day so I revisited them daily. A string of "Nothing" entries was a clue to get back to my passions.
I love the notebook challenge, it is my comfort place also. Looking forward to going through the HB90 course again, if you haven't been through it it is a must!!
Thanks so much Sarra! Excited to plan yet another HB90 quarter - saved my life, for sure. Grins. Love watching your notebook challenges. It always gets me back into my journal/planner life. Love the book/world recco too!
Your videos are a calm centre in my stressful life. Thank you so much for posting such amazing stuff. I love the little stickers! I too suffered from the same health ailments as you. So sorry to hear you've been going through that. I researched the crap out of PCOS for 20 years, argued with doctors and specialists, and finally found the answer I was looking for in a post on Soul Cysters years ago. I've since come up with the three S's of PCOS (and overall) healing: Sun, Surf and Sleep! (It all ties back to vitamin D, which ties in with sulphate levels in the body, which are boosted by sea bathing). This is not an ad of any kind; I was just stunned to hear you mention the very thing I've been researching the guts out of for all my adult life, and I felt it my duty to share what I've learned. All the best to you on this healing journey. 😀🙏 Also, I can't believe you've been through two house fires; you are a hero in my book. Most people after something like that would probably give up and just live in a camper the rest of their lives. Kudos! 👍💥
I live your frankenplanner notebooks! I just started a work reference notebook and it has changed my life. I'm mostly a digital girl, but sometimes an analog system is a game changer.❤
I look forward to these videos coming out! They are great to throw on and work on a crochet project. I would love the black notebook. I've yet to try that kind of paper.
Hello 👋, I just found your video. I really enjoyed it and appreciate seeing how you set up your note books. I really appreciate the river paper that I just using last year it’s very luxurious. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and spreads.
Here's how I solved the tracker update (or should I say: forgetting to update) problem... Because I found that I forget to flip to the other pages, I notate all my tracker data on each daily, then at the end of the week or monthly review, I transfer the data to a tracker spread. 26:27 💖🌞🌵😷
This is definitely my comfort video!!! I just spent all morning working on a newsletter and Constant Contact went down. I have no idea how much I've lost yet. So I'm going to have lunch and watch your soothing video instead of doing work :)
Collecting recipes can be fun. My bff gets those meals delivered where they send the ingredients and a recipe and she cooks it... well, she saves the recipes and makes her favorites with her own ingredients another time. There's one service that doesn't print the quantities, so she measures as she cooks and writes her own recipe. 💖🌞🌵😷
Love, love, love your notebook challenge videos Sarra! So many great ideas, thank you for taking us through your collection. I have a Frankenplanned EC as my "mothership" planner, but I like to keep a lot of separate notebooks/journals for wellness, spiritual journaling, gratitude, story ideas, home tasks, separate work notebooks, etc. , etc., etc. I love that you use a lot too and your ideas are inspiring! 💞
Love tomoe river paper! I would love to see a video on how you plan out longer goals. I have a hybrid system of multiple goal setting techniques, but always love seeing new ways to do them. Always been a fan of your Kanmantoo boards! I have this but in a folder due to lack of wall space and love seeing all the post it's move
I am so stoked when a beautiful notebook will draw me towards it and it catches my eye and then it stays on my shelf used and as real life archive to look back on. As for the recipes, I reduce my decision fatigue by putting all of my recipes that I try and like in Notion in their own tab.
I am always so grateful for the Notebook Challenge videos. These make me so happy not only because of the inspiration but because it is just a wonderful video to decompress with after a long day of life. Thanknyou. ❤❤
I wouldn't consider these comfort videos necessarily, but I love "spending time" with you with something that clearly brings you so much joy. I'm a bullet journaler myself, although I am trying to include bits of planner-style things this year - partially because you love them so much! My favorite part of these videos, though, is the diversity read section. This year I'm challenging myself to buy a book every month from the author you spotlight and they've been lovely thus far! Thank you for making videos that you enjoy, the happiness is contagious
Love the notebook challenge videos to give me ideas for some of my favorite but unused notebooks. Now, to pick a notebook for the upcoming HB90 Bootcamp!
The size of the notebooks, you are giving away, are perfect to slip into a purse or a backpack so you can jot down notes any where or journal when you have the time (like writing in the carpool lane!).
aw! I love the orange! I feel that way about blue and sometimes green though. It's beautiful that we all resonate with different things. You are definitely one of my go-to comfort video channels. I would LOVE the 'Make The Days Count' journal. XO- Sheila
I looove the notebook challenges so much! You inspire me so much to use my notebooks and plan properly. I’ve never used Tomoe River paper so I’d be so excited to try that☺️
I always love seeing your notebook videos: in a way I'm living vicariously through these videos because some of the brands are tricky to get in Australia. Loved seeing how beefy the stalogy has been getting too, and your gorgeous notebook setups.
Love the notebook challenge! I have been writing every day in my notebook and have been so inspired to do so by adding a few stickers or washi. It's just another challenge to use what I have and to use up some of the older stuff I have been hoarding . I will share soon
these are definitely a comfort watch for me. i’ve gone back to 2020 watching your notebook challenges! and you’ve inspired me to upload my own monthly challenge video.
Love the notebook challenge videos! These have inspired me to enjoy my notebooks and not hoard them for a "better purpose". I loved all your creative uses for your notebooks.
You popped up on my feed! My first time here.I love the notebook by Erin, i went online and ordered a monthly planner because of the size of it. My current one is too tiny to write ✍🏽 details in. Thank you! Love from Europe
Yay, your notebook challenge videos are some of my fav videos of yours. I fall asleep to your HBNC playlist regularly ❤ That Nikki Plus Three sticker kit is your energy right now, I love that she was inspired by you! And I would love if Studio Adorkable sold tiny Coffee Chat Sarra stickers. I have cofffee chat marked in my planner every Friday!
I think I'm going to need to make a trip to the Erin Condren store to check out that home organization notebook. Decluttering my house is my #1 goal for the year. Also, that Tomoe River notebook is riiiiight up my street 😍
Notebook challenge video's are some of my favorite. I like to watch them multiple times and I firmly believe you can never have too many notebooks.
yes these are my comfort videos too! i keep looking for other people making similar videos but nothing is quite the same as your notebook challenges 😍
Thank you! ♥️😍
Comfort video for sure!! I look forward to it every month and rewatch old ones all the time 😅

I love how you mentioned that we don’t have to buy something new - an old notebook can be spruced up with the supplies on hand! ❤

🙋♀️😂🍒
You totally inspired me to pull out all my notebooks that were just sitting there and DO something with them!
Yay!!!
A constant every month that I love! And you push me to use the nice notebooks, and it works! Thanks!

Ooh, that sounds like a cool book!
A friend of mine did a 21-day challenge with prompts each day to write in a fancy notebook that you've been hoarding. It was great!
Ooh!!! Great idea!!!
I love the notebook challenges. I get great ideas on all the different ways I can use them.
Me too Weird feeling if using them especially if That’s Why I Bought it. I hear you
Love your Notebook Challenge videos! ❤❤❤ That black notebook with TR paper is stunning!
I love thick notebooks, lol! I am in love with that orange A5 notebook! 😮
The colorful Erin Condren notebooks look so much fun! They look so nice next to each other.
These are some of my favorite videos. They are like a calm beacon in the messy storm of life (especially life with littles).

Mal is amazing! So glad to see her featured here. I love her talks.
We had so much fun together!
I love how you use the notebooks. I try to watch these videos every month.
I love the notebook challenge, it is my comfort place also. Looking forward to going through the HB90 course again, if you haven't been through it it is a must!!
I agree with everyone saying that these are a comfort video for them. I especially love when they're long.
Thanks so much Sarra! Excited to plan yet another HB90 quarter - saved my life, for sure. Grins. Love watching your notebook challenges. It always gets me back into my journal/planner life. Love the book/world recco too!
Yay HBNC! Trying to keep up with my 4 planners has been a fun challenge so far this year.
I'm always really interested to see how people are using their notebooks. These are really fun videos.
I love your notebook challenge videos and watched them since the beginning 😇. always love to see how you are using your notebooks.
Also, I can't believe you've been through two house fires; you are a hero in my book. Most people after something like that would probably give up and just live in a camper the rest of their lives. Kudos! 👍💥
I look forward to these Notebook Challenges every month! I love notebooks. ❤
I went through all your notebook challenge videos, even going back to the first ones, and binged them. They are my favorite. ❤
Happy March! So excited to see another notebook challenge video! Also I'm really looking forward to doing HB90 again!
Thank you! I am too!
I love your creativity with how to use notebooks in so many different ways!
Love your Notebook Challenge videos! I can’t wait for HB90 to start.
Love your notebook challenges every month! Can't believe Q2 is almost here 🤯 Lots of ideas from this video, can't wait to get stuck in 🤔🤗

Sarra, it's so fun to see you so excited! Great video. And I love your notebooks.
Yay ! Notebook challenge time ❤ , a great way not to feel bad about buying Notebooks!
Love, love, love your notebook challenge videos Sarra! So many great ideas, thank you for taking us through your collection.
Day job has been so stressful, and your videos are just so inspiring and comforting. I feel good watching them, and I'm hopeful for the future.
As always, inspiring and encouraging ❤ Have always loved this challenge 🎉
I always learn so much and get inspired by your videos. Thank you for sharing.

I set up my Kanban board today for the first time in a couple of years. So excited to start moving those sticky notes
Happy March! I look forward to your Notebook Challenge videos every month ❤❤❤
Love the notebook challenge videos to give me ideas for some of my favorite but unused notebooks. Now, to pick a notebook for the upcoming HB90 Bootcamp!
I love the notebook challenges. Would love a video about longer projects. Thank you for all you do. ❤
I love the notebook videos! I look forward to them all month. I just started a blogging business. The black one I could write ideas for my blog.
The size of the notebooks, you are giving away, are perfect to slip into a purse or a backpack so you can jot down notes any where or journal when you have the time (like writing in the carpool lane!).
"Notebook challenge" or "notebook hoarding support group"? Either way, I love these videos! I always walk away with new inspiration.
aw! I love the orange! I feel that way about blue and sometimes green though. It's beautiful that we all resonate with different things. You are definitely one of my go-to comfort video channels. I would LOVE the 'Make The Days Count' journal. XO- Sheila
This is how I found you! I watch just about all of your videos, but these are my favorite! Love TRP. And I prefer longer, in-depth videos.
I love watching these videos, I get my notebook fix without buying anything!
Love the notebook challenge! I have been writing every day in my notebook and have been so inspired to do so by adding a few stickers or washi. It's just another challenge to use what I have and to use up some of the older stuff I have been hoarding . I will share soon
Totally helpful! Helps me keep on track
I thought of you when I pulled a really cool notebook out to track the important information about my new aquarium I just set up!
Yes, the monthly notebook challenge is my meditation/ therapy! I LOVE tomoe river paper!
these are definitely a comfort watch for me. i’ve gone back to 2020 watching your notebook challenges! and you’ve inspired me to upload my own monthly challenge video.
So excited for the HB90 course to start on March 17th! 🙂
Me too!!!

So happy you're here. Welcome!!

Love your line up. I always get so many ideas! I just signed up for HB90. I'm excited to get better at planning!
So many gorgeous stickers! 😍😍😍 Great video as ever Sarra! 😘
I think I'm going to need to make a trip to the Erin Condren store to check out that home organization notebook. Decluttering my house is my #1 goal for the year.
Also, that Tomoe River notebook is riiiiight up my street 😍
