Howdy folks! Once again I'm at Win Soon Exhaust in SS3 PJ, this time with the E46. As mentioned, I really like the sound as it is currently, it's just a tad too loud and slightly drony, so let's see what Panjang can do!! More to come!! 😊👍🏽

This E46 is actually a very huge step up in quality and refinement over an E36~~if not for the tight rear legroom and the slightly aggressive throttle calibration which is difficult to moderate at low speed~~otherwise i would have kept it.other than cooling system and quite fast wearing suspension item it doesn't need too much attention and will keep going on for years.M54 is definitely better than the N42 which is the more trouble child of the family.Keep up the car bro i love to see these car still driving around and i would still ogling at one if i saw them on the street.in the meantime i still need to find a new master brake cylinder for my broken E23😂
and i definitely prefer the E46 pre-facelift look because it look more like the coupe version of the E46 which is very handsome.the facelift E46 just doesnt do it for me.the front signal just doesnt look right to me.

previous owner removed the rear box and left the centre resonator untouched...probably throw in a rear s flow box with new tailpipes...reduce the sound but sweet 6 rumble remains

The 325i M54 with the original exhaust system sounds brilliant too...Its not rumbly or loud but it has a very nice tone to it...I would personally fix the original system back to the car..Drove numerous E46 over the years and I have to say those E46 with original exhaust pulls different too....Super nice when u put your foot down....Very creamy feel to it

@ChrisWeevilGarage yeah understood. Nice to hear on a short distance but can be a torture when on a road trip. On my shorter gear ratio car it's like 5000rpm at 150 🤣

The sound of E46 garang but my opinion 17 inch M Technic looks better. This 16 inch x kena when the exhaust garang already. Yr Waja & Accord SM4 rims lg nice...

Does straight piping makes the exhaust smells bad? My older car smells terrible at the exhaust when idling while my newer car smells ok-ish
Hmm, I don't think that has to do with the pipes, more likely the combustion or use of a catalytic converter in the newer car perhaps, I'm not sure 🤔
@@ChrisWeevilGarage I mean if I straight pipe my relatively newer car, perhaps the removal of catalytic converter makes the soot smells awful?
