Welcome to the "WWII History & Reenacting" UA-cam channel!
The main focus of this channel is primarily military history, mainly within the second world war (WW2) timeframe. The channel features various content, such as videos on metal detecting, magnet fishing, exploring and visiting historical sites, collecting militaria, reenactment, restoration etc. I'm a WW2 reenactor/living history enthusiast and many of my videos feature tutorials, kit reviews, reenactment footage and information about the hobby. I mainly portray the German side within the timeframe. Collecting militaria is a huge part of my life. Unboxing videos, collectible presentations, and collecting tips, as well as metal detecting and relic hunting are also typical videos on the channel.
This channel is strictly non-political and my videos are meant to be fun, educational, and informative
Enjoy!

I'm surprised this video doesn't have more views.. Good video! You are a true reenactor, and explained it really well! Greetings from the Western Front! ( Fellow Reenactor )

You kind of scared me at the start
Hhahah :)
The song is “Wir Sind des Geyers Schwarzen Haufen”
Maschinen Gewerh He is referring to the Farb materials.
Erm… what the sigma?
@@Itsmussoliniget that shit OUTTA HERE
I love the humor in this.
Haha, thank you! :)
BEST VIDEO ON THIS SUBJECT OUT THERE. Way out of my league... impressive.
Reenactor Guy doesn't mean you're not still one of the better channels, man.
Thank you my friend, really appreciate the feedback, and I`m glad you liked the video! I really like your videos and your channel, so keep up the great work my friend! :) :)
Step 1: Get a haircut! I'd love to see a review of the various styles worn by German units and foreign volunteers in WW2. Thanks for continuing to make these videos.
Thank you, glad you liked it! And thanks for the content tip - will try make a video about that in the future :)
I would actually love this. So for the only reference I've ever been able to find on the haircuts are photographs of soldiers who didn't wear any helmet or hat at the moment of the photo being taken.
They legit all had the same haircut. I had a hard time asking my barber for the style without showing him a picture of a SS Officer lol
@@maximilienrobespierre7927 FEGELEIN!
No I keep my long native hair
While I'm not a WW2 reenactor, I did American Civil War, Union Infantry many years ago. The unit I was in took great pride in their impressions and everything was well researched. Authenticity and knowledge was extremely important. We did marches, living histories, etc. whenever possible.
Excellent impressions you and your group have! Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much, really appreciate this feedback coming from fellow dedicated reenactor! :) :)
Even at 13. I’ve wanted to reenact. I thought just get the uniform. Equipment. And have fun. But it’s so much more. Thank you. For showing this. It’s so appreciated here in West Virginia
Holy crap same age and wanting to do the same
Finally "someone" bring it to the point!!! Everybody who wants to take the reenactment seriously should watch this video!!! Respekt und Ehre aus Deutschland an meine norwegischen Kameraden.
Thank you so much for that comment! Best regards from Norway! :) :) :)
I was 5 when I started to have a interest in Ww2 and it’s all because I was scrolling on my for you page and I saw this video and I watched it and now I’m 12 and still watch your videos
Starting off young, I had an east german tunic, and bought it I did exactly every mistake detailed in this video, even at the beginning 0:30 to 1:00 buying all the flashy stuff
I feel like this video touches on an important part on re-enacting on showing that everything in it has a meaning and I love the way you addressed some of the issues us Reenactors face like "your a nazi for wearing that uniform " it really helped me explain a lot of things to my friends when I told them I had interest and collected the WW2 stuff and Re-enacted WW1
It's definitely a fun time explaining the Swastika Flag hanging on my wall. Of course, the USSR flag hanging right next to it helps lol
@@randomlyentertaining8287 If I were in this situation, I would replace the USSR flag with an Israeli flag.
This is single handedly the best video to describe this that I could imagine. Well done, I applaud you.
Thank you my fellow reenactor, glad the video was to your liking! Really appreciate the feedback! :)
WWII History & Reenacting top notch my friend, top notch
>When you give the video a like before the ad even ends
Thank you Matt!!! :) :)
Hell bring a god damned cake
XD
This is a perfect video.
Can make a man cry. Bringing honor to veterans from that era is such a great thing to do… they’re dying out. A world which is no more. We carry that on our shoulders.
Great video! I’m going to start reenacting as a DRK nurse this summer and this video was very helpful even though it’s not for nurse reenacting :-)
Excellent video, this applies to everyone no matter what they choose to reenact
Thank you Andrew! :)
This is amazing. A great way to show people that reenacting isn't political but rather an interrest.
Thank you!! :) Yes, hopefully this will both shed some light on the hobby for outsiders, and also inspire reenactors and future reenactors to do it right.
Another well made, and incredible video!
Thank you Hayden! :)
I really want to thank you ive been wanting to reenact and it was difficult to get a grasp on where to start and soon i will hopefully be getting books to educate myself so thank you very much
One of if not the best videos I have seen on the topic. Huge props to you guys :)
From a fellow WW2 re-enactor (2/25th Australian Infantry Battalion and 144th Regiment Imperial Japanese Army)
I’m planning on getting into WWII reenacting so this was helpful lol
I swear to god I love your humour. Especially in this video.
Hhahaha, good :)
Hello
Your videos are very interesting. Your words in this particular one are wise, respectful and constructive. Well done.
Thanks for this information
That was brilliantly well put, an exceptional video to say the least
Thank you Cole, really appreciate it! :) :)
This stuff is truly amazing i would to try and do it myself
I was looking for a vid exactly in like this, thank you!
Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful! 😊
What an amazing gem I have stumbled upon
Thank you! :)
I cant decide between doing a Parachute regiment impression to honour my father, or SS to honour my 3x Great uncle. I've been to arnhem and met a para regiment reenactment group that's where I started thinking about it.
Great video, highly professional!
Thank you verry much my friend! :) :) :)
this is beautifully made 😀
Sehr schönes Video!
Kann es kaum erwarten den nächsten Teil zu sehen.
Grüße aus Deutschland
Thank you, Im glad you like the video! :) :)
Best regards from Norway!
Impressive and very informative video! I’m gonna get into this pretty soon!
Thank you, good luck and happy reenacting! :) :)
This is great. I'm doing all the research to get into ww2 reenactment, and I want to know for sure that I'll be doing it right 👌🏻👌🏻
Thank you, I'm glad it was helpful! That's awesome! Welcome to the hobby! :)

So relaxing
Glad you liked the video.
Really really great motivational video! I love you guys for such eager to reach the most appropriate and original form of reenacting! Greetings from Ukraine!;)
Thank you very much, glad you found the video inspirational! Best regards from Norway! :) :)
I'm looking to start an impression based on the Afrika Korps and the US Marines in WWII, this video is really helpful. Thank you.
Excellent
Thank you! :)

Haha 😎😊
I love you videos
Thank you! :)
Nice video
I love this topic.
If you are going to do the next topic of the Reenactment, can you present some instructions of the German Drill in the battlefield?
Thank you Travis! :)
Yes, Im working on a extensive and detailed video on the subject with the guys in my group. Im not sure when it will be finished though... hopefully not too long.
WWII History & Reenacting
Just take your time to finish your project in your reenactment group. Then you can process the next video which you are going to do.
Quality Video 👌
Thank you! :)
Thank you I am currently a member of the Alabama section of a German one I am a prvt first class in the third panzer Grenadeer
it was the ww2 videogames brought interest. And also knowing my uncle in Law served in ww2. But never brought it up on family occasions. It was something one did not bring up, and the Horrible reminders of War. he did show my father all the B/W photos and the German Sword my uncle brought back, also i was a very young boy at the time only 9-10. But it was Today's video games from 2015 when i just started playing. That sparked a great interest in WW2 history, although i been intrigued in history as a whole year back from 2004.
Fantastic Video and couldn't have said any of it better myself! We don't portray Axis forces but what you said still applies perfectly to any era. :)
Thank you! Really appreciate the comment, especially coming from a non german WWII reenactor! :) :) :)
Do you guys have a Instagram page? Because I've seen some of the reenact black and white footage on there awhile back
Is that version of the Deutsche Soldaten book a collector edition? Looking to pick one up and I much prefer the look of that to the other cover.
Otherwise this is an excellent video my friend, has kickstarted me road into getting my gear.
My great grandma brother was fighting in Stalingrad and died sadly 1943 at Christmas day that's on off the resen why I was so interested in this my family was fighting in war and watched every Documentary and movie about the war
3:40 Vice: "thats where youre wrong kiddo"
C'est juste incroyable cette chaîne est super !
Thank you! :) :)
Intresting
U sound swedish or norwegian! Im norwegian. Do you know where people get their reenactment gear? Forresten hvis du er norsk, er det lov med våpen i norge? Nå mener jeg de som blir brukt i reenactments)
First of all: your channel and the way you do it is just amazing!
Can you please tell me the exact name of the book with the complete black cover with "deutsche Soldaten" on it?
I cant find it on Google
Thank you very much Paul, really appreciate it! :)
You can find the book in our Amazon book store, just follow the link:

Collecting all the gear is half the fun!
I was watching this to learn about the uniforms, I hear that it is best look at the photos of the units actual uniform, my grandpas cousin died in France, he was a PFC, and I was actually able to find his service record with all his medals and units.
I just looked, he died 13 days before the end of the war.
Where did you become that Uniform?
Do you recommend buying on the MILITARY HARBOR page,
Or what do you consider the best option to buy replica uniforms?
4:45 what is that blue uniform on the left? Next to the Öberts uniform, I really want to know is it Luftwaffe?
Larping has always been sorta cool to me. Idk why I was always so worried about talking about it like I was gonna Abe a nerd or dork or laughed at. But fuck it. It seems dope as hell
Hello! I would like to say I love to see stuff like this. I’m a ww1 reanactor but my community is nothing but farbs. People get aggressive if I mention of me getting a custom uniform that’s accurate in every way. People say you’re trying to hard but honestly I’m trying hard because I actually care for there hero’s 100+ years ago. I just thought I’ll put my input in from another community.
From one reenactment community to another, the time periods are not that far apart and they connect with each other so I consider the world wars one group, and I'm sorry to hear about the treatment you get
Can I use Some of your footage and stuff like that every knocking battles for a UA-cam video
I’m 15, starting WW2 American reenacting next year as a start.
Pimp my uniform
Where did you got that uniform???
Hey! I am a young collector (12) and having some severe trouble finding a unit if you could possibly point me in the right way. I'm wanting to go as an army heer. I have a m40 uniform with y-straps belt breadbag caneten and jackboots. Thanks!
The song at at 2:54 is epic
Different I like it 👍🏻
Thank you George! :)
Another's great video! I'm sure you've been asked many times before, but what's the intro music? Cheers
Thank you! :)
Hehe, yes - a few times. Its my own cover of "Florian Geyer lied" :)
Hi i am a begining reeanactor.
Does anyone one know where to buy a (cheap) Panzer uniform.
Greetings from the netherlands.
Nein, Es tut mir leid
Feldwebel.ru is a website that offers good quality uniforms and gear. I don't know whether it fits your meaning of cheap and whether they have panzer uniforms or not, but I guess it's worth checking out. Greetings from a fellow Dutchman.
Damn good Video:)
Thank you Alexander! :) :)
I need more bullets for my mp40 it was theater prop the copper bullets have seized up so can not put caps in bullets anymore. Also my mp40 looks bigger than one with hand grabbing
1:30 Me, "Yes,YES YES!"

Do ss tunics have 5 buttons
This kinnda made me wanna cry...
Believe it or not, it was actually the first two Indiana Jones movies that got me interested in WW2
Lol nice
What song did you use in your opening? I've heard it before but I cannot remember what it's called because I don't speak German. Very much appreciated
''Wir sind des Geyers Schwarzer Haufen'' covered on a guitar
@@l0kaltpsykf4ll34 Thank you
I would love doing Wehrmacht ww2 reenactment but I’m struggling to find a group near me, I know one group but that is like 3 hours away from me.
Never thought the Germans could look so brotherly before
The Song t the Beginning i Need this guitar solo
What is the song name in the intro
What’s the name of your intro song
Any groups you can recommend me to look into? I'm in ohio if that helps.
Can you please send links to your Kriegsmarine coastal artillery impressions as I have an interest in everything navy as my father served on MTBs during WW2 with RN coastal forces, the men were all volunteers due to the nature of there deployment, and the fact that the boats were made of wood and carried 30,000 gallons of aviation fuel plus ammo and torpedoes. a floating time bomb. I re-enact Royal Navy but I thought I'd like to get into Kreigsmarine Artillery During Normandy'44 can you help please.
Best Regards
Donald Fraser.
I want one of these uniform so bad.
Should be interesting to see if re-enacting survives.
For everybody who's wondering about the start song it's called wir sind des geyer's schwarzer haufen
Thats correct :)
Vill gjerne komme i kontakt med dere som driver med reenactment
Great site, is Sergey still making winterpelz stiffen? I used to reenact in Northern California, SS Hohenstaufen
Thank you! 😊 I'm sure he is, but I've heard that some customers have been waiting for a very long time for their boots lately - way too long unfortunately 😔
If you are a reenactor HELP:
First of all, Wow I love how you REALLY nailed the fact that Not all germans are nazis and how/where to draw the line.👍🏻 I am German myself and am really torn between this thing. Because I would really much love to start reenacting WW2 expassily because i already have expirience (1813 Napoleonic War reenactment group with my uncle back then) and i really love to know more about WW2 + my Family was apart of it and so on. I believe it would be really awesome.. BUT I do Not want that People think i am a Nazi expassily because i am From germany and it would be way harder for me since many People here wouldnt see me as a reenactor but as a nazi. For example: the SS Uniform is banned here and i also want to go to the Bundeswehr and if they find out i would be doomed. I mean there are alot of pro and cons for me in this Situation and if anyone could help me From his perspective i would be really grateful.🙏🏻
Cheers Guys!
In most of Europe, nazi memorabilia are not allowed, even by law forbidden to either have or at least wear. And as in the beginning already said, keep in mind due to what happened, those who died, got affected in any wich way or whatever. Before you know, you play with somebodies trauma and/or feelings.
That said, have fun..
