In preparing your loaf pan for the gingerbread mixture, take a mixture of a handful of sugar with a handful of cinnamon and use that to sprinkle onto the greased pan instead of just flour. It gives the edges and bottom of the cake some additional flavor that the flour will not.
This recipe reminds me of one from the old foxfire books. I have used that for quite some time, but had my original book packed away during a recent move. Glad to have found this recipe so I can go ahead and make the mixture and enjoy. I really love this if the edges get a bit overcooked, myself, as that gives the crust a bit of texture and often a bit more strong gingerbread flavor, too.
I like the look of the ginger cake 🎂 .in the future I would try and make that same cake and see if I can do anyother cake if I'm that good I will sell some of the cakes to my freinds and the teachers that take good care of me. Starting with cupcake is the basic of building on your passion for baking and you'll process until you can make a birthday cake or you could make a wedding cake if its someone's wedding
