Regarding the Sport Transmission, you're able to enable Launch Control by going into the Advanced Mode within that section...for those without Paddle Shifters/Sport+. The feature is still there, just disabled, dormant and waiting to be lit up!

Nice, picked up a X4 which the previous owner speced nicely so deffo looking to buy bimmercode soon. So shocked that folding mirrors when closing isnt active from factory 🙄 or cant set it up through the Idrive.
@@user-fs8lz9re2q I went with an X3, absolutely love it. Get bimmercode dude worth every penny. Along with the folding mirrors you should look into remote closing tailgate and activating the sports suspension.
@@MisterCee41510 so I have comfort access and if I long press on the key fob it'll fold the mirrors which is a longer process than a single press to close and fold mirrors. Also I can open and close tailgate from the key fob with a long press. I have Adaptive Suspension so hopefully bimmercode can let me play around with that.

Hi very informative video thanks. Just a we question I coded mine and the gong volume is very low. I’ve tried setting it a bit louder with the volume button on the stereo and in the main I drive settings but when I get out of the car lock it and get in again it resets very low again. Would u know of hand how I could possibly fix change the setting so it stays at a slightly louder volume? Thanks in advance 👌🏻
There’s a setting called “Max volume at startup”, that’s the one you want

After Bimmercode app coeding bmw f30 i got an error message with negative 260 tkm "inspection check' with 2004 year, car is 2013/14!
Before coeding all the stuff like in video it was normal with next service message at 2023 year?!
How to return that back or delete error, with button cluster i reset and it comes back after few minutes.
Also one quick way to shut off the idrive is press the start/stop button one more time, after you turn off the car...and obviously without pushing the brake pedal..
I just kept forgetting lol
great video, can anyone code the clusters instrument light to be on during the day F15 X5 2017 is kind of dark during the day any ideas?
It doesn’t look like there’s anything in Bimmercode about that for the X7.
Did you try the iDrive settings for brightness etc?
If it’s bright out, most systems will appear dark.

To Stop the idrive press start button again after stop the engine, with your foot off the brake pedal.
Great Video !! After some coding today my real time MPG display was all over the place. I was using bimmercode to do simple stuff like mirrors fold when locked etc. If you have ever seen this or know how to fix it please let me know !
Dang man I've never seen that, I think Bimmercode automatically keeps a backup of your previous coding status so you could probably revert and isolate which setting made it do that.
It's hard if you changed a bunch of stuff to know what broke it

hi i have a question. in the video at 6:25 you explain about opening and closing the car windows by the control. I did exactly as shown in the video and my f36 bimmer does not open or close the front passenger window. I already checked the fuse and they are ok. do you have any idea what i can do to make the window work? thank you and very top your video.
Hello! I have a feeling your front passenger window may have stopped working and you may need to replace? I’ve never had to replace that on my bmw yet :(

I have the same model as you, have experienced any issue with the hatch not opening when you press the button or wave your foot under the trunk? Sometimes it’s fine and other times it’s not. I’ll have to use the button on the outside for it to raise automatically sometimes.
Sometimes it’s because your car keeps your doors locked until you manually unlock them, it’s happened to me too, idk what else could cause it
on 7:50 how did you do that blink on your led? is it done by Bimmercode? Please help me. i really want to do this
It’s because of camera, when your shutter speed is too different from the LED refresh rate (50-60hz), the flickering happens.
Sadly, it looks normal in real life, only flickers on camera.

I use a Bluetooth adapter but you can also use a WiFi adapter for the G series BMW

There is a list of adapters in bimmercode app, I can’t say if those are cheaper or not.

For whatever reason I kind of like how the music keeps playing even if you turn the car off. If you're getting groceries out or whatever it's nice to still jam until you leave the car fully
That’s a fair point, but it won’t turn off until you open the door when the car is shut off. So you could simply, open your door and then shut off the car and it will keep playing even if you code to shut off iDrive.
Do you know how to active the HUD turn signal for F80/F82? and also id like to change my blinkers from 3 to 5 on the one touch. the regular way on expert mode is not available on mine
I’ve never driven an f80/f82 but I’m pretty certain that my blinker settings are in the car, in settings on idrive. Sadly I don’t have a HUD and the coding options don’t show up for me :( Thanks for watching!

Is anyone aware how to code door handle LED’s to stay on for the period you’ve coded welcome lights to stay on for ? (60 seconds). Mine go off after 10-20 max :( can’t find an answer anywhere!! The same for the low beam headlight, can that be coded to stay on for longer with welcome lights? Switches off after 20 seconds and looks silly !
I haven’t been able to find that, only active/not active when put in reverse. Let me know if you find a way!

You don't do anything to it that should void the warranty, so I don't think so, but check with your service advisor
After I coded my X5 F15 window and mirrors to close and open with the key fob, I noticed that the feature when you touch any of the door handles to lock and unlock the car it doesn’t work any more. How do I activate that feature again?
Have you checked “Convenient closing with Comfort Access” option? Should be set to Active

Hi,, can you help me please about coding my 640i Gran coupe,, When I want to turn off my car I have to double click the start button turn off the car and the battery. how can I code the car to turn off by clicking the start button just once
You can’t, but what you can do is what I did, set it so that opening the door after the engine is turned off will turn off the battery.
So you press button once -> engine shuts off.
When you open the door to leave, everything else also shuts off

can you code the windows and sunroof to NOT open? I've come back to my car a few times to find everything wide open which pisses me off that the car is not secure
I used to have the same problem with the trunk always opening but I got the dealer to reprogram so that the car has to be unlocked in order for the trunk to open
these options PISS me off to no end. make the car more secure!!!!!!!

No. BimmerCode is a phone ONLY app, either android or iOS, you MUST use one of the supported bluetooth adapters and pair it to the phone, BimmerCode does not work via ethernet and it only runs on a mobile phone.

When I try to purchase app within the app it says I must be connected to internet and logged in to play store. I am connected to internet and I do t see a way to log in to the Play Store app. I'm using Samsung Galaxy S10. Thanks 😎

At around 9:00 you have the weather and stuff on the screen. How do you do that.
Basically in iDrive menu there was BMW Online, and I also found something that said Apps, which had weather.
I think you may have to have an active ComnecterDrive subscription to use it. I’ve installed Carplay since this video so I never have it sitting on iDrive anymore. Thanks for watching!

Haha idk it tripped me out often, I would close the door and still hear music from
Inside the car and would always think I forgot my phone in there or something, or I’d try using my phone as I’m walking away but the sound is still playing in the car while I’m not in it. I don’t disagree on making an entrance, but I’d prefer to have an exhaust system for that 😂
Press your stop button then press it again touching no pedals and it’ll go off

Car Noob makes sence. Personally I don’t mind waiting for it to go off but was just a suggestion. The time I had my bmw maybe 3 months I didn’t even know how to turn the ignition off when engine was off I used to get out the car to lock it and get back in again just to reset I drive 🤣

do you need to disconnect the battery and connect a trickle charger prior to coding?
Muhammad Demis I was able to code with the engine on, none of the coding options are related to the engine so it won’t hurt to have it on. Once you begin coding, your engine will shut off and the ECU will simply restart. It’s a bit different than the bootmod3 etc, you shouldn’t need a trickle charger for Bimmercode!

@@theCarNoob I've edited the minor mistake letter change in the word 'bimmer'. Although I still stick to the futility of the video. My bmw can indeed do all these features without the superfluous coding too.
1) US models do have convenience open and close windows. 2) auto window roll up stops when opening the door…..ok, you said before you’d have to restart the car, roll up…and so forth. Or…or…. You can use your key fob to roll it up the rest of the way…..or hold the lock area on the door handle and hold your finger there and it’ll roll up. Use your brain sir!
No they don’t, US key fob does not roll windows up.

Car Noob I think you are misunderstanding, not trying to single you out here, many youtubers do the same thing. They spend the first 1-3 minutes basically talking about the title. I already know the title, that’s why I clicked the video, intro generally don’t need to be longer than 30 seconds then get to the actual content.
