These long term planned videos are simply unique in UA-cam. The complexity of bonsai techniques are mainly produced by how long it takes to see the consequences of our actions on the tree. These videos provide a unique perspective. So thank you for taking the time. BR from Spain. 😊
I think the fast-forward through certain tasks is a good approach. Bonsai beginners can enroll in online classes for specific demonstration/instruction; old-timers probably do not need that level of instruction. I think the pot is a stunning choice, and the trip through the seasons shows that the gingko is perfectly content.
Thank you very much. I was always a Gingko fan, but this tree seems not be appreciated by Bonsai enthusiasts. Also thx for the advice I was experementing with soil as well, need to try this

So nice of you - its a lot of extra effort but I do think its more educational to show action-response :)

Love this video. At what point did you remove the wire?
Just before it really started to bite into the bark - I think this happened 3-4 months after wiring.
Can you give any advice about Airlayering Ginko
I think it can be done in summer - but I haven't tried myself.
Whats the best variety of ginko for bonsai such as this tree?
Well I only know Ginkgo biloba - and thats great as a Bonsai
Thankyou@@bonsaiempire, I haven't find Ginko yet but looking forward to put my hands on it
❤❤❤❤
Do ginkos heal well from trunk chops ?
Hm I haven't tried to be honest. Its not the fastest grower so you'll have to be patient.
👍👌🙂
