Would it be possible to grow moss on a hooded cloak? It sounds like the coolest costume, some sort of badass nature wizard. I'd use natural fabric so I could give the moss back to the forest eventually. But it'd be fun to keep it going on the cloak as long as possible. If it likes fabric, that seems like an easy way to propagate because you can make a big sheet in controlled conditions and then move it to a good spot outside. I'm imagining laying the fabric on a big flat sheet of plastic on an angle. Then to water just pour on the top edge of fabric so it flows and wicks through the fabric and lightly mist the moss itself. Would that work?r Maybe better to hang from a line and setup misters on a timer? Seems like I want to subject the moss to the stress of holding onto the fabric earlier into the process so they hold on strong.
My Goodness!!! This my good lifeform is an Epic Idea, and is absolutely possible, to use it in a costume or cosplay you would need a waterproof fabric under the moss Fabric,to retain humidity and keep the wearer dry, one could also construct a wall apparatus so that you can mount the cloak or hood, making a live wall when not in use 🥹, that way it has light and access to good growing conditions, I absolutely adore this idea and believe it is TOTALLY DOABLE!!!! 😁

Ooooh!!! While I have not personally tried air filteration using moss, I do have some information that could prove usefull, I would start with the larger varieties like sphagnum, or haircap, I would go for a mix of haircap, pincushion (it withstands dryer conditions), if air circulation is going to be constant a fogger or misting system would be advised to regulate the humidity, aim for 70 to 80 % that way by time it gets through the ducts, it should be around 65%, this is super interesting and I would love to know how it turns out 😁
@@The-Microverse I'm thinking a water table type setup that has water flowing, with a fan behind it. It's all subject to change, though, since I haven't even made it to the drawing board
😲 That sounds even better, and more functional than a fogger or mister, can do a hydroponic type system where the water runs through Leca or lava rock ( for water wicking and beneficial bacteria) Fern, string and hypnum moss would thrive in these conditions and then you can build up tuffts of haircap, pincushion or sphagnum on there 😁, I'm getting Hyped... oooh can add a vertical element and get a waterfall going!!! Like a great big wall of lava rock covered in mosses through which air would pass 🥹
@@The-Microverseyes this sounds wonderful. I wonder if this would be an effective filter of done on a larger scale. Seems like it might! The only thing I'm a little concerned with is the level of humidity required as I live in an already humid climate.
Being in a humid climate could actually be better as constant circulation would be needed and that would reduce the humidity by the time it cycles back into the vents, would need a bit of trial and error to perfect, but definitely doable 😁
hi, i was curious as to whether or not you have grown thread moss? ive had some difficulty with it despite following serpa and others guides. when in a vivarium, it gets eaten by the isopods fairly quickly any time it has any notable growth. when ive grown it in a moss-only terrarrium, i can keep it alive for a month or so before it dies back. sometimes it dies for good, sometimes it will bounce back, but i cannot for the life of me get enough growth our of it to harvest it. i will try adding some ventilation and daily mistings rather than enclosed with periodic mistings during maintenance. thanks for the video
Hii!, so I did notice i dont have alot of success with moss if isopods are present, they eat the dead part at the bottom and work their way up, try keeping the moss in a container with only spring tails, try that out, and let me know if it works then the isopods Do eat moss, thanks for watching 😁
Absolutely!!! Perlite I believe is a type.of lava rock, so it is very pourous, ideal for healthy bacteria, is both water retentive and well draining, sand can also be used as long as its coarse 😁
I love moss gardens!!! 😁 the main issue with them is direct sunlight, though there are some light loving species the heat of the sun tends to cook it, but if it's a well shadded area, or has a water feature that should make for a nice Zen garden type setup
@@The-Microverse the sun heat is a big factor here where I live, since it's a tropical country. The shade tip is a good one, but for some reason I don't seem to be capable to keep my moss alive 😢
How does it die, does it dry out, melt? ,does it go soggy, this can help pinpoint the possible reason the moss is dieing, usually tropical areas are the best for growing moss 😁

@@The-Microverse When I looked up the blue ones, I also saw some that are red. The only thing is, once I've put springtails in an enclosure, I've pretty much never seen them again. How do you get around that?
From what I experienced they do just live in the soil, but these bigger ones are a bit more noticeable and the color make em stand out in the dark substrate, but they are both rare to find, and expensive 😬
i am turning my grass lawn into a moss lawn. There is a mini forest 2 minutes from our house where i gather lots of moss. so far i am just scratching the soil, esp the bare patches then put some moss on top, step on it a bit and water it down. it's raining a lot here in the uk. so i am hoping the moss embeds itself in. it is so exciting
It is very exciting. i was scrolling thru videos about moss and saw I was commenting about turning a grass lawn into a moss lawn last year, but this year I finally decided to act. The front garden patch...half of it has naturally become moss...so i am trying to manually turn the other patch. It is takes in a few months, i will try to dig up patches in the back garden (which we turned into a veg garden). My parents are retired and in their 80s so a grass lawn is just too much effort. And it uses more water. so i think a moss lawn is more sustainable and it filters toxic particles in the air i believe. it's just an amazing pre-historic super plant@@The-Microverse

Oohhh I have phoenix moss in my aquarium 😁, if you want fluffy texture for the feet(highly recommended to be barefoot on moss 🫠) try to find some badge moss or live sphagnum, they is the fluffiest 😁
I have been putting together a japanese zen/moss garden in my back yard. I have had moss grow and spread-yay! However last year i was having health issues and couldn't be diligent on pulling up little weeds etc. So this summer i will have a lot of work in front of me. Do you think a pre-emergence like Preen will damage or kill the moss? Thx
It might, moss will absorb any liquid around or in the air, I would perform an experiment first, get some of that moss and put it in a plastic container, and try out, shouldn't take more than a week or 2 so see the results, if moss is alive then have at it 😁

Im trying to learn to grow moss all over under my trees, so large scale! Everthing i see is for terrariums! Anyone know how to cultivate if quickly? I guess ill get large trays and propigate under the trees.....i collected a bunch today off a rock wall and its beautiful. I placed it under my Japanese maple and looks great. Im seeing it everywhere. But its also in my own grass.....ill never kill it again New moss lover.....
There are plant nurseries that sell moss by the square foot. We're getting ready to abandon the idea of a conventional lawn in our very wet, very shady backyard, and may devote a portion of the space to a moss garden, with native wildflowers in the small parts that do get sufficient sunlight.
Be sure to check reviews first. I came very close to buying from one place, only to discover, when caution kicked in, that they have tons of 1-star ratings on Yelp, with pictures to back up the complaints.
I usually just ethically forage moss, when I'm out and about, and put it through this process in the Protocol section, and experiment with different mosses in different setting😁
Can you tell me which type of land moss Can be used underwater? I really wanna add one to my new built aquarium and I am unable to get anytype of Aquatic moss
Fern Moss would be you best bet, I have not tried this, usually the aquatic mosses are more available and they can transition to land, so the opposite should be very possible, might need some experimentation 😁
Good question!!! Unless the water comes from a well, all cities will have clorinated water, that easily treatable with Aquarium water conditioner, available at most pet stores in the fish section, that should get rid of all the chlorine and chloramine in the water 😁

i remember seeing years ago a tutorial on how to spread moss. it went like this; get a bunch of moss, pop it in a blender with some water and i believe a drop of elmers glue, blend it until its a paste, and then paint it on whatever surfaces you want, like concrete, pavement, walls, etc. do you know if that would actually work?
The concept does indeed work, I have not tried with glue, but i did make a powder from aqua soil, add some water and live moss, blend them all together, a thick paste works best, if lighting is good and the paste doesn't dry out, you should find it turning green within about 2 weeks 😁
Agreeed!!! That is sooo True!!! The magic paste is best if its just hydrated moss with water, I attempted the buttermilk moss milkshake but that just introduced a whole bunch of issues
I have moss in the outflow area of my wetland, and my pond is SUPERBLY CLEAR. I love moss! How do I clean moss I suspect has been sprayed with pesticides?
I wouldn't use moss that you suspect has pesticides, its easier to get rid of pests than pesticides, chemicals in a closed system like a terrarium will damage plants and kill any clean up crew you add 😁
Absolutely, especially that if moss is in the area, there will be more around, try to find a nice green patch that is away from where pesticides are used, and once you get some you can make more 😁
Greetings Moss loving Lifeform 😁, I did try but it dries out too fast, unless you have an out door misting system or a nice big tree for shade and wind breaking, thats why you'll mostly find moss in wooded areas, there are certain types that will adapt or even prefer these conditions, but haven't come across any, could be very interesting to research 🤔
@@The-Microverse thanks for the input, much appreciated :) if I may ask once more, did you ever tried/experienced providing humidity from the back (directly from/troughs the substrate) of the moss? Let’s say, as some moss grow on the top of a bonsai pot/wet dirt/or whatever it may be, sucking moisture straight from the substrate (with comparatively suitable environment conditions) ps: do you happen to have some names for the species you were mentioning ? I’m inquiring so much since I’m attempting to develop a prototype to allow moss to grow ubiquitously on the most diverse surfaces both indoor and outdoor. And despite being an agronomist and plant researches, I’m not quite familiar with the moss realm ))
Oooh these are excellent questions my fellow lifeform, the problem with a permawet bog like substrate is mold and slim both of which will out compete moss, however, aquatic moss that is a climated to grow immersed or partly in water can do great, espesially if the area has a waterfall, or waterflow, do keep in mind that terrestrial mosses do need the air humid, and best conditions are usually dryer substrate and higher ambient humidity, but then again there are 10s of thousands of species so i speak of the habd full i have experience with, fern moss, string moss, thread moss, badge moss...etc planning a comprehensive moss movie if you will where i go into great detail😁
@@The-Microverse that was most interesting my good fellow, most interesting. Do you think that would be theoretically possible to keep them alive and prospering under direct sun with a continuous film of moisture spraying on them? And partially filtrating the UV/IR radiation ? If you have some bibliography you would feel like recommending I would be most interested in it. A full movie, fascinating; I would be most happy to know about this project. And glad as well to contribute if I may eventually happen to be of any assistance.
More often than not, when sunlight is a factor and there is heavy moisture, algea comes into play, it is a bit of an experiment, but if the sunlight is deffused and there is airflow as well as humidity it should be a success 😁, in terms of bibliography I don't know of any dedicated to moss ( I'm not a big reader 😅) however i am also working of a moss book, a sort of pocket feild guide to identify, ethically harvest, propagate and care 😁
haha that is a funny video man, reminds me of when i washed my first moss to prevent problems and i went "above and beyond", then I noticed i still introduced 1 isopod of the common variety AND the all mighty gods of death, thrips! 🤣 But I don't know which moss I have because mine can also grow very well while 100% submerged under water. To me it looks exactly like spoon-leaved moss which is apparently critically endangered (not because of me LOL), and it happened to be the prettiest on my property. I have had it under water for over a month and it kept growing very healthy. If I had known, i would have put the whole thing in there, but I m convinced thrips can survive anything 🥲 no idea how u guys deal with them in those fancy terrariums without them sickening and devouring all your fancy plants!
That us awesooome!!! You could play a role in bringing that moss from the brink 😁, the isopods i mainly use if there is a reptile or amphibians, they are very good at cleaning the "leavings" 🤣
I only have those cow isopods that are common all over the world i think. I tried them in a tiny enclosed terrarium and they murdered each-other by eating the moss inside of their habitat, so i had to get some myths out of the way since there was leaf litter and very tiny decomposing branches. It s not easy to use those guys, i wonder if the white/purple dwarf ones are better, what has your experience been with those? everyone swears they don't eat live plants too 😅@@The-Microverse
So, now that I actually think about all my past and current builds, you are absolutely right, because every enclosure that has isopods doesnt have moss growing on the substrate, they'll leave moss growing on walls alone
ahh cool info about height indeed, thanks! i will try to remember it if i ever try another terrarium. A very comprehensive well edited video. What is your take on ambient room temperature’s effect on moss growth? Here in India our ambient temperature goes very high during summers
Because all the mosses I used are in a temprate enviroment if the ambient temp gets too high, i get mold, but usually moss here goes dormant in the cold months 😁

@MagisterialVoyager the Tiny Fauna are part of a greater Ecosystem that isn't fully present in a terrarium, thus population control may be an issue, the "protocol" if you will 😅 is to make the Moss as pet safe as possible, if you are fond of the fauna rehydrate and wring out the moss but dont submerge, then you can observe to see what manner of Lifeforms are present 😁

Thats why I can't wait for spring, all the little magical worlds are revealed 😁, moss needs some shade, and high humidity to grow on a roof but also depends on the type, some mosses like the dryer side
these are good tips. ive been making some terrariums for a couple years now and learning a lot about moss, but most of my moss hasnt done that well. i suspect its because of being in the sealed terrariums like you said. it seems a lot of people online are basically faking it and make these awesome looking mossy terrariums, but in reality there's no way you can keep them looking that nice for a year, two years, or more. my newest terrarium is a larger 10gal and its not completely airtight and the moss seems much happier, theres a whole patch spreading out and taking over one corner. My favorite moss is american tree moss and I know about a few spots where some grows locally.. but i havent had much success growing it, have you tried that one before?
It takes alot of work to keep a terrarium looking perfect but i believe with some understanding of how different mosses grow one can have terrariums looking their best for years to come😁, I have actually had some experience with tree moss I do believe it likes higher than normal ambient humidity, i got some growing for me a while back, but never had luck with em, its such a cool species, hoping to find some more so I can keep and propagate more of it 😁
@@The-Microverse I definitely believe it does like higher humidity. the patch i found was nestled between the ground and a log, and a few inches away from a stream. its a few feet wide and maybe 2 feet tall, very thick and healthy, its amazing. i made up a little sealed jar terrarium for it and it stayed very wet and recieving some direct sun and despite that the moss survived, despite looking awful. its still putting out new runners/shoots but they don't do well. i want to open it up and give it more air and i think itll do well
This moss is a bit finicky when it comes to humidity and aeration, if you can keep its ambient humidity at 70% + while maintaining aeration (I know!!! Thats a pain on its own) it should do well, also try to plant it in a clay type mix like aquasoil dust a little minced sphagnum moss and some water, the substrate might be the culprit, if it grows in clay and we put it in a fluffy ABG mix its a drastic change... more experimentation needed 😁
@@The-Microverse after this i actually went to my local source and sadly couldnt find any tree moss anymore.. the entire colony seems to have vanished. But i checked my jar for the first time in many months and the tree moss is still trying to put out new shoots, but the old ones are all browned. I think the substrate is actually good, but its too wet and stagnant in there. i had a lot of mold grow in this jar which i havent always had in my other ones. i might try moving it into my 10 gal which has better aeration and seems to be doing really well. i try taking as much of the original substrate as i can when i collect the moss.

Curiouser and Curiouser!!!, 🤔 isn't the lichen they eat called reideer moss, i had some and it looks smells and grows like lichen, but is called a moss 😅

With Aquatic moss i find it will bounce back if its now completely dead, but do keep in mind moss is a slow grower, so it could take some time, make sure the light is NOT direct sunlight and maybe partially change the water, if its not greening within a month its likely dead 🥺
@The-Microverse that's awesome! Although I collect rare houseplants and grow aquarium plants with ease, I am finding it IMPOSSIBLE to grow moss, so I define admire the talent
Gratitude fellow lifeform!!!, moss is tricky, but if you kinda treat it like an exotic Fern you'll have success with most species, then its kind of learning on the Job 😅, taming the moss take lots patience, and failure, so keep going, try a different kind of moss, research it specifically, split it into pieces and give each different conditions and see what works, if you keep going you'll end up in a Mossy place 😁
The ~1/4 hectare lot my appartment is located on in Munich has a "lawn" that is 90% moss... the rest is some grass, dandelion, crocus, yarrows, and other common lawn plants. I'd be lying if I told you the moss had nothing to do with my choice to live here ;)
sadly the houseplant and terrarium hobby pays alot for illegally and unscrupulously harvested moss. We should all grow our own, never pay for it as it funds the moss harvesting industry, which is pretty much always wild harvested in extremely large quantities, sadly it is done at every level from people looking to make a quick buck to people supplying wholesalers
I get most of my moss from around the city, and propagate at home, sustainable and ethical foraging is essential to keeping the awesome diversity that nature provides 😁
I always just go into the woods and grab small torn up patches of native moss. Never was fond of the idea of buying a bag of moss from the store.. not a clue where it came from or if it was harvested well or if its even native (I keep moss outside)
I completely agree, I'm actually starting to grow my own, enough to sustain my hobby, I wanna have a lil moss farm that I can go to whenever I make a new terrarium 😁

Being in a humid climate could actually be better as constant circulation would be needed and that would reduce the humidity by the time it cycles back into the vents, would need a bit of trial and error to perfect, but definitely doable 😁
you are the reason i love moss 😍😍
Moss is lovely 😍
hi, i was curious as to whether or not you have grown thread moss? ive had some difficulty with it despite following serpa and others guides. when in a vivarium, it gets eaten by the isopods fairly quickly any time it has any notable growth. when ive grown it in a moss-only terrarrium, i can keep it alive for a month or so before it dies back. sometimes it dies for good, sometimes it will bounce back, but i cannot for the life of me get enough growth our of it to harvest it. i will try adding some ventilation and daily mistings rather than enclosed with periodic mistings during maintenance. thanks for the video
Hii!, so I did notice i dont have alot of success with moss if isopods are present, they eat the dead part at the bottom and work their way up, try keeping the moss in a container with only spring tails, try that out, and let me know if it works then the isopods Do eat moss, thanks for watching 😁
Hi, I was wondering if perlite could be used for the false bottom, when growing moss.
Absolutely!!! Perlite I believe is a type.of lava rock, so it is very pourous, ideal for healthy bacteria, is both water retentive and well draining, sand can also be used as long as its coarse 😁
Awesome I had the same question, thank yall

I want to build an outdoor moss garden, but is so hard to find information on this kinds of gardens.
@@The-Microverse it usually dries out, even if the soil is still wet, after some time it just dies.
Are there trees for shade in the area? If its sitting direct sunlight most of the day the humidity in the soil wont matter, moss loves defused light

Indigo blue springtails?! I had no idea they existed, but I want some now for my frog vivarium.
There are also orange ones of about the same size, they are sooo coool 😁

Oooooh this is exciting indeed!!! I would love a moss lawn one day😁
It is very exciting. i was scrolling thru videos about moss and saw I was commenting about turning a grass lawn into a moss lawn last year, but this year I finally decided to act.
Moss is just the best, lawns are boring, but moss is magical
EXACTLY they are - I am totally obsessed. Each one is so unique in their style and structure. I have some flame moss in my shrimp aquarium tank and it looks like fine hair seaweed. so gorgeous. @@The-Microverse so I am growing moss, with sedums as lawn cover, with a sprinkling of creeping thyme seeds. Will see how they turn out this summer. but i just love the spongy feel of moss and remembered watching was it National Geographic that they found the oldest bit of ice and in it was some frozen moss, although dormant was still alive and just needed rehydration. How truly amazing
Oohhh I have phoenix moss in my aquarium 😁, if you want fluffy texture for the feet(highly recommended to be barefoot on moss 🫠) try to find some badge moss or live sphagnum, they is the fluffiest 😁

😂😂 "Do not cook your moss"
Gratitude Fellow Lifeform!!!😁glad this was helpfull, I have cooked my moss before 😅
This got me interested. Moss just popped out on some of our pots. Weird that some pots got them while the others don't.
Might be the type of substrate of the material of the pot itself, I know moss loves terracotta pots because of their water absorption 😁
@@The-Microverse they're all plastic pots. Some pots just had moss growing on the soil, kinda like ground cover for the plant. Meanwhile the others are dry bare soil. Maybe I'll try transplanting some of the moss once the rainy season start.
That works as long as the substrate doesn't dry out 😁
Thanks so much!

Im trying to learn to grow moss all over under my trees, so large scale! Everthing i see is for terrariums! Anyone know how to cultivate if quickly? Im seeing it everywhere. But its also in my own grass.....ill never kill it again
New moss lover.....
There are plant nurseries that sell moss by the square foot. We're getting ready to abandon the idea of a conventional lawn in our very wet, very shady backyard, and may devote a portion of the space to a moss garden, with native wildflowers in the small parts that do get sufficient sunlight.
Moss is just lovely and it can actually fill in empty spots in the lawn, but a little moss garden under a Japanese maple is heavenly 😁
Im gonna need to look into nurseries, I'd love to get sheets of moss 😁
Be sure to check reviews first. I came very close to buying from one place, only to discover, when caution kicked in, that they have tons of 1-star ratings on Yelp, with pictures to back up the complaints.

Good question!!! Unless the water comes from a well, all cities will have clorinated water, that easily treatable with Aquarium water conditioner, available at most pet stores in the fish section, that should get rid of all the chlorine and chloramine in the water 😁

I knew a graffiti artist that would blend moss, and flour together, and paint moss art on walls that would grow in the moss art design. 🧑🎨

@@The-Microverse Many 🙏 Thanks for the advanced moss tips!!!, I mosst try this recipe. Sporssax Acrivate!
🤣🤣🤣 May the Spores be with you!!! Oooh Tshirt idea!!! 😅
i remember seeing years ago a tutorial on how to spread moss. it went like this; get a bunch of moss, pop it in a blender with some water and i believe a drop of elmers glue, blend it until its a paste, and then paint it on whatever surfaces you want, like concrete, pavement, walls, etc. do you know if that would actually work?
The concept does indeed work, I have not tried with glue, but i did make a powder from aqua soil, add some water and live moss, blend them all together, a thick paste works best, if lighting is good and the paste doesn't dry out, you should find it turning green within about 2 weeks 😁
Since moss doesn't have so many differentiated parts, it can get broken or cut up and just grow back. The power of simplicity can not be overstated

@The-Microverse Thank you so much. It's safer to get clean moss than dealing with the damage control of bad moss.
Absolutely, especially that if moss is in the area, there will be more around, try to find a nice green patch that is away from where pesticides are used, and once you get some you can make more 😁
Awesome
Much Gratitude fellow lifeform!!! 😁
I like your funny style :-)))
Gratitude Fellow Lifeform !!!, I'm glad you enjoyed 😁
Very nice video, bravo. Did you ever attempt to grow some moss species outside under the sun? Greetings from a fellow moss’s lover, great channel.
More often than not, when sunlight is a factor and there is heavy moisture, algea comes into play, it is a bit of an experiment, but if the sunlight is deffused and there is airflow as well as humidity it should be a success 😁, in terms of bibliography I don't know of any dedicated to moss ( I'm not a big reader 😅) however i am also working of a moss book, a sort of pocket feild guide to identify, ethically harvest, propagate and care 😁
thatk alot i help me to grow more Moss 😊
May the Moss b3 with you 😁🐙
haha that is a funny video man, reminds me of when i washed my first moss to prevent problems and i went "above and beyond", then I noticed i still introduced 1 isopod of the common variety AND the all mighty gods of death, thrips!
I still dream about making a really nice one for something almost no one will ever even see, i love the zebra jumping spiders, they are so small to look at and everything for them looks like a huge adventure 🤣 maybe someday... was nice talking to you! @@The-Microverse

A very comprehensive well edited video. What is your take on ambient room temperature’s effect on moss growth? Here in India our ambient temperature goes very high during summers

5:21 these guys get in my paladarium What are they?
Those are millipedes, most are generally harmless detritivores, at least as long as they have detritus to eat.
Some will hunt the isopods and springtails, if they dont have enough food
@@The-Microverse Thank you very much, are they dangerous to mourning geckos?
Not to the adults but they could go after the eggs, babies will be too fast for them, its the eggs in substrate that could get nibbled, are there alot of millipedes in the tank?!

I was waiting on the weather to get some more geckos shipped but now I've got these in there and I have no idea where they came from. What can I do to get rid of them that won't hurt further life?
DA Moss Boss! Aaaaw I'e always love moss, id sit in a patch in the woods where the sun would shine through the trees and feel like a fairy, ok i was like 5 😂 i did try and put it on my shed roof but i don't think i did it right because it dried out 😢😢😢😢😢
Thats why I can't wait for spring, all the little magical worlds are revealed 😁, moss needs some shade, and high humidity to grow on a roof but also depends on the type, some mosses like the dryer side
these are good tips. ive been making some terrariums for a couple years now and learning a lot about moss, but most of my moss hasnt done that well. i suspect its because of being in the sealed terrariums like you said. it seems a lot of people online are basically faking it and make these awesome looking mossy terrariums, but in reality there's no way you can keep them looking that nice for a year, two years, or more. my newest terrarium is a larger 10gal and its not completely airtight and the moss seems much happier, theres a whole patch spreading out and taking over one corner.
Let me know how it does in the 10 gallon, very curious this moss 🤔

i had some flame moss purchased from a fish store and he had forgotten to water it, so he gave me one for free. i set it infront of my window with no ventilation in a tiny cup. it... is brown. i don't think it's gonna make it. :( can what appears to be dead, brown moss, come back to life? how to nurse it back to health?
With Aquatic moss i find it will bounce back if its now completely dead, but do keep in mind moss is a slow grower, so it could take some time, make sure the light is NOT direct sunlight and maybe partially change the water, if its not greening within a month its likely dead 🥺
Moss baby> ash baby
Hey man lean into this content it's fucking amazing
Hazza!!! I'm Glad you enjoied, Ill definitely be making more content like this 😁
@The-Microverse that's awesome!
Did he say late 90's? Is he talking shag carpeting
Shag !!!!, thank you!!! Thats the word, Shag Carpeting 😅
@@The-Microverse that was like 70s and 80s style.
By the time i knew what a carpet was it was the 90s 😅
cool
Thanks 😁
YASSS!!! This is A"MOSS"ing!!!
Truly Mossome 🤣
Isopods also eat bromeliad flowers
I have seen holes on some plants, I suspect the dwarf whites, but if they dont have any detritus they will eat moss, learned that the hard way 😭
@@The-Microverse At least my isopods (dairy cows/porcellio laevis) will eat basically anything it seems. 🙃
@Nemokiddy yeah i learned a harsh lesson about dwarf whites 😅and I'm like take anything but the Moss😭
😅 to think I was the only crazy moss man…
Far from it My Good Lifeform 😁, the Moss Wizards are all around, usually crouching over a patch of the Good Green 😅
you'll shall subscribe....!!! great!!! you're a marketing genious hahahaha....
Hahahhahahah, the Wizard of Affection is good at what he does 🤣
I believe it is more properly said "Y'all shall subscribe", but then I am Texan and we are particular about such things.
Please excuse Gondolf, he doesn't get out much 🤣
I liked and saved the video, tysm, but THAT CRUSTY ASS FAN🤣💀 11:04

Any Excuse to talk about and/or present Moss 🐙
Only need forty eight more subscribers untill one thousand or 1k as some say
I know right!!! and just in time for The Microversarry 😅
Yeah I got the frog along with eggs
Not calling it "Moss-Know Secrets" was a blunder, buddy.
😲 a Blunder in deed, that's brilliant, Just for you fellow Lifeform Imna go in there and change it 😅
Boom!!! Tis done 😁
@@The-Microverse I appreciate your appreciation of questionable puns!
What can I say... I like Big Puns and I cannot lie 🤣
Ah c'mon who cut the mosstard?
if u are just trying to grow moss leave out the isopods they can and will eat tf outta ur moss
If there is enough leaf litter and things for them to eat they will perfer that, but if there isn't they will absolutely eat some moss
The ~1/4 hectare lot my appartment is located on in Munich has a "lawn" that is 90% moss... the rest is some grass, dandelion, crocus, yarrows, and other common lawn plants. I'd be lying if I told you the moss had nothing to do with my choice to live here ;)
Oooh that is the dream "lawn", that area would be a great candidate for a zen Garden 😁
@@The-Microverse 😌
Nothing better than Land and Lifeforms 🤗
great video! Your vocal style is kinda creepy though, very 19th century carnival vampire, if i'm going to giving you completely honest feedback
I was going for carnival vampire 🤣
@@The-Microverse lmao that's amazing. Like moss, it's slowly growing on me...
You should really enjoy the Halloween terrarium build coming up 😅
Liverworth always dies in my terrariums
Liverwort likes even more humidity than moss, try to adjust the humidity or spot spray it, hopefully that works 😁
snake friend spotted!
Illumi is soo precious 🥺
the ventilator is just another microcosmos to be aware of
What mean you the ventilator 🤔
sadly the houseplant and terrarium hobby pays alot for illegally and unscrupulously harvested moss.
