I love my Lewitt LCT 240 Pro in the ice white version with all the accessories. What a crisp soild sound I do have my eye on the Subzero s for my next Lewitt purchase I love what you guys are doing you make fantastic quality equipment at realistic affordable prices.
If you are looking for roughly the same feature set, the LCT 640 TS is the most equivalent (although it has some extra pad, low cut and polar pattern options). It also has much lower self-noise. If you don't need those extra features, I would also highly recommend checking out PURE TUBE. It's specifically optimized for vocals, gives you a classic tube sound (warm and silky!) with exceptionally low self-noise (7dBA).
I just discovered LEWITT mics, and I’m now considering picking up a pair. I want mics that I can use in a stereo pair to record instruments like acoustic guitar, upright piano and violin. What mics would you recommend for this use, if you have a mic that is as flexible as I need?
So which one is best for just talking? I have Jabra headphones which are amazing I just don’t want to always wear headphones. I have the Jabra Evolve 2 65
The LCT 240 PRO will do a fantastic job. But you would also need an audio interface to connect it to your computer. The mic pairs quite nicely with our CONNECT 2 audio interface. If you have further questions, we are happy to help 😊
Guys, if there's someone out there who tried both LCT 440 PURE & LCT 441 FLEX can you tell what's the difference besides from different directionalities that FLEX offers. Like does FLEX set to cardioid directionality records the same thing as PURE does or there're some differences in circuits etc.? I'd like to record vocal mostly so now I'm choosing between PURE & FLEX
The sound differences between the LCT 440 PURE and the LCT 441 FLEX in cardioid are very minimal. LCT 441 FLEX was designed as the multi-pattern version of the LCT 440 PURE. Hope that helps!
Greetings. help me choose i write voice and guitar (sometimes i have problems with sibilants) I'm choosing between lct 550/lct 640ts/pure tube. I am also considering TLM103 and warm audio 87R2. I currently have an At4040/4050 and I didn't really like it.
The LCT 550 has been discontinued and replaced by the LCT 540 S. LCT 540 S has the most articulate high end detail, LCT 640 TS is very well balanced as far as the LEWITT sound goes and PURE TUBE has a more neutral midrange and slightly warmer tone with a very smooth, silky top end.
I bought the 640 ts and I mainly use for vocals. I haven’t been able to test it much yet. It seems like you guys don’t advertise it as a VOCAL mic… should I return it and get a 540 ? I have yet to see anyone use the 640 ts on vocals
You shouldn't care about any label on it, or about what others do. If it does what you want, that's all that matters. Like the Shure SM57 is an instrument mic considered to be the tried-and-true choice to record guitar cabs, but there you had it being used for decades as the mic of the US president.
LCT 640 TS is a fantastic microphone for vocals. When it comes down to it, it's a very versatile microphone so you might hear about it for a lot of other things like guitar, drum OHs, rooms... but it's certainly being used on vocals too.
I actually bought a 640 ts my self a while ago just for the versatility of changing polar patterns and stereo recordings. I use it for vocals and acoustic guitar and I’m really satisfied of its clarity and great sound. I don’t have to do a lot of eq-ing afterwards. Just great sounding.😊
Most our condensers would work well but I'd recommend the LCT 140 AIR. It has an "Air" mode and "Flat mode" for tamed high end (which can be very helpful on brass).
Lots of good options out there--anything with Neutrik connectors will be great quality. However, if you're on a budget Monoprice premiere cables get the job done.
We do! It's one of the options we recommend for voiceover. Ultimately it's a very versatile mic that can be used on almost anything but we wanted to hit a variety of price points in our recommendations.
@@LEWITT-audio That would be amazing. I did a search and found that the last ones you made were the DGT 450 and 650. The specs and options on those mics were unbelievable. I had to ask myself....why on earth did they not keep this going? I can say I am loyal to the brand at this point. I have a 240 and just ordered a 440 but I am limited to XLR options. Please bring back the genius of the DGT series or something similar to it. Thank you!!
LCT 540 S or LCT 440 PURE would be most comparable in terms of features and sound. Both have a lower self-noise and higher max SPL. LCT 540 S has additional features including a pad switch and low cut options as well as ultra low self-noise (only 4dB).
What is your favorite LEWITT mic? 🤔
Only tried the 440 Pure briefly and liked that one. One day hopefully I'll buy one to use for voiceovers in my channel.
The 1040, I own one and it's vastly undervalued. Looking to purchase another in 2024. I also like the 940, 840, 441 Flex, and Pure
I love my 441 Flex
Awesome! Glad you're enjoying your LCT 441 FLEX

Nice, my favorite acoustic guitar riff is back 🤘 cool video
LCT 640 TS
SALAM FROM TAJIKISTAN
I do a bit of voice-over work, mostly unpaid, and the 240 seems perfectly adequate for such work.
Awesome! It's a great mic
I wish tests like these had bass and percussions too
The 240 surprised the hell out of me! Insane sound quality for $99
Thanks! And we agree 😁
The only problem is its small condenser self noise. It is the same size as the lewitt pencil condenser mics.
Thinking about trying a LEWITT mic myself; currently using an AT4050 for Vocals/Voiceover. What would compare similarly?

No problem 😁
Other than the Aura festure, How similar is the Pure from the Ray?
They are essential the same microphone in terms of the sound--same capsule in both.

why the 550 and not the 540s - read that the 550 is not as harsh on the highs
The LCT 550 has been discontinued and replaced by the LCT 540 S. LCT 540 S has the most articulate high end detail, LCT 640 TS is very well balanced as far as the LEWITT sound goes and PURE TUBE has a more neutral midrange and slightly warmer tone with a very smooth, silky top end.

Great overview! Thank you! Which mic would you recommend for recording guitars inside an iso cab?
MTP 440 DM is always a good bet! But our FET condensers are also a great option
@@LEWITT-audio Thanks for the insight! Would a 440 Pure also perform well?
Yes, LCT 440 PURE has a pretty high max SPL and it sounds really great on electric guitar, especially clean tones.
@@LEWITT-audio Thank you! 💜
What microphone can i use for woodwinds? ( saxophone alto/tenor and clarinet ) I was looking for 240.
Most our condensers would work well but I'd recommend the LCT 140 AIR. It has an "Air" mode and "Flat mode" for tamed high end (which can be very helpful on brass).
Does the Lewitt 1040 have the directional polar pattern just like the 640?
Yes, the LCT 1040 has the full spectrum polar patterns from Omni to Figure-8
would the 441 be enough for directional pattern or should I go for 640 ts?
Both are multi-pattern microphones, so you have the option to choose any directional or omnidirectional pattern you'd like!
I have a lct 240 pro mic but I dont have xlr cable so which xlr cable can I buy pls tell me name

@@LEWITT-audio sonic plumber neutrik xlr cable suitable ? For 240 pro mic ?

The 440, 540 or 640 🤔
Just answered your DM!

Can I use the lct 240 for rap
Yes, it's a great option for that application

What about the subzero
We mention the LCT 540 S (formerly called Subzero) in the video! Just didn't make the thumbnail 😉
Are the headphones just debranded headphones from another manufacturer?
They are custom made
