Xanthem Gum has hidden MSG. It is not entirely healthy. I used to rely on it for Gluten-free recipes, which apparently upset my Kid's Gut more. I am an ardent follower of your recipes, expecting more homemade/ from scratch and authentic recipes. This is definitely not a criticism; it is constructive feedback.

It’s okay. You can skip the gum and proceed with the same. This method is commercial method madam

Xanthan gum should be used in extremely small quantities. its a strong stabilizer. so may be something in the size of a peppercorn is wouldn't cause any harm. When used in excess quantities (like tea spoon for small quantities) it will cause gastric problems even for adults.

Respectfully disagree vismai garu.
Vanilla milkshake is the definition of simplicity. In America, they make this by just adding vanilla ice cream (70%) and milk (30%) and blend it into a thick shake.
There is no need to add any extra sugar or gum or whipping powder or milk powder.
The quantity of ice cream you used it very less. It should be more like 350-400 gms of ice cream per serving
