Hi Marty, seen this done before. From a business, perspective focus what people can showcase for their business e.g animations logos, a person or objects. I believe that's where talent is. You're absolutely the best Photoshop tutor.
I created a Fbook Ad using your magazine template, My page skyrocketed to 1200 Likes & 53 comments - even FB sent a reply 'Well Done!!'. I've lectured friends on your channel.
I am a longtime fan of Marty's videos. I honestly can say most of my improvement and progress in Photoshop came from watching and learning from his tutorials. I have only been using PS for about two years now, but I have improved a lot since I first started. That said, I haven't tried this one yet because I keep thinking it's going to be too difficult for me. I have to give it a try though..it looks awesome!
Although that I subscribed a year or two ago and saw a fair share of your videos, I must say that this is one of the best videos/tutorials ever seen here. Thank you!
Marty is the bestttt in the world he always define his way of teaching through great skills and that explanations he provide is very usefull for our learning thanks man keep doing more videos really appreciate your work sir🔥🔥❤
Another great video Marty. Thank you! BTW, you can change the behavior of the quick mask by double-clicking the icon in the tools panel. You can make the color indicate the masked or the selected area. Saves you a few clicks inverting the selection.
its 3 am, i tried this for the first time but it was a fail wasn't bad though. i don't know what i'm doing wrong. this was really helpful! i'm going to keep trying!
I love your videos, they are great especially how you mark and point out everything. Would you be able to make youtube videos for premier pro,or after effects too in future? or will it be limited to photoshop? And also some video on logo animation/making too
Just PS. Sorry. I've done many tuts on creating logos. Go to my UA-cam channel & click on the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). In the “Search Channel” field, type in, “logo” or "emblem".
Very cool idea. I hadn't even thought of animation. I wonder, do you think you can make another animation video? I was thinking maybe one with space and planets since you made so many videos in the past regarding them. It would be amazing to see an animated space image.
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thank you Marty for your quick response. As I understand, this animation mainly works great for water bodies, fog, mist, and clouds. Besides these, are there any other things that are suitable to animate in a still photograph? Thank you again and I shall give it a try in my CS-6. God bless!
can't thank you enough watched another youtuber's video regarding this but yours was so detailed and good p.s can you make a animated anime for steam artwork please
Great Tut Marty, Thanks but I have a problem. My version of Photoshop doesn't give me an option to export as .mp4. (only .taga, tiff, .bmp, .png, .dicom, .jpeg, & .psd). Any suggestions?
I use Camtasia as my screen recording software, but it's not free. For zoom, you press Ctrl (Cmd) and the "plus" or "minus" key on your keyboard. Or press "z" and drag over your image. Or go to View > Navigator.
When I use my soft brush it paints in black but urs paints in red even though ur colors are black n white ?? Moreover pressing Q doesn't turn mask into selection... Plz help me 🙄
At the very beginning, how come when I use the brush tool it does not show in red, but in black (my colors are black and white)? Also, when I press "Q" it does not make a selection?
Make sure your Quick Mask is active before you brush by either pressing "Q" or by clicking the quick mask box below your foreground & background colors.
You must press "Q" to brush in a quick mask. Make sure your quick mask color isn't black. To do this, double-click the quick mask icon, which is below your foreground & background color boxes.
Marty I am at 03:15. I have made the stream into a selection and inverted the selection. The color of the stream is gray, not black like in your video?
After you make a selection around the stream and invert the stream, as long as the original waterfall layer is active, pressing Ctrl (Cmd) + J should cut and copy the stream onto its own layer.
Yes Marty, I went through the whole tutorial, your instructions are very very clear. I messed up at the very end, but don't think it will be a problem next time I go through it. I just can't figure out the colors. When I select the masking tool on the toolbar to the left there are two options: Selected Areas and Masked Areas. Could that be the problem--I have Selected Areas marked?
Sorry, I don't follow. There are no colors to figure out. The masking tool is simply opening your brush and pressing "Q" to brush in a quick mask (red is the default color of quick masks).
I've watched a ton of tutorials on youtube, this should be the benchmark for all tutorials, incredible.
Thank you!

wow!
When I use my soft brush it paints in black but urs paints in red even though ur colors are black n white ??
Moreover pressing Q doesn't turn mask into selection... Plz help me 🙄
Before you brush, press "Q" to convert your brush into a quick mask.
@@BLTV_Photoshop wow thank you sir for replying me... I'll give it a try now
Fantastic
Please do the same with the planet stellar creations with the planets moving
good cher
You told me to smash that red botton at the right corner, now I have a broken phone.
LOL
Wow
At the very beginning, how come when I use the brush tool it does not show in red, but in black (my colors are black and white)? Also, when I press "Q" it does not make a selection?
It's red because you have the Quick Mask on. When you have selection, pressing "Q" turns it into a Quick Mask. Pressing "Q" turns it on or off.
7:43, I dont have the transform option, I only have position, opacity, and style

@@BLTV_Photoshop thank you so much, quick response man, I’m subscribing
great sir
Thankyouuu
you really awesome
will it be seen moving if I use it as my cover photo on my facebook?
tnx for the answer
sry for my grammar
No. You can make your animation into a gif file, but Facebook doesn't accept gifs for cover photos.
Thank gawd AI does this now.
Indeed.
when i start the selecting process its not red but black and when pressing Q It doesn't select the section highlighted... help please ?
Make sure your Quick Mask is active before you brush by either pressing "Q" or by clicking the quick mask box below your foreground & background colors.
I don't get the second step. Are you painting the photo with a red color?
Oh, I guess you have to turn the masking icon on
can I add my photo inside the file before rendering it ?
Yes.
Marty, my
Foreground color is black. When I brush over, color is black...not red?
You must press "Q" to brush in a quick mask. Make sure your quick mask color isn't black. To do this, double-click the quick mask icon, which is below your foreground & background color boxes.
Thanks Marty, I never noticed or used the quick mask icon below the foreground & background color boxes. Much appreciated!
Marty I am at 03:15. I have made the stream into a selection and inverted the selection. The color of the stream is gray, not black like in your video?
Go to Image > Mode > RGB color, 8 bits/Channel.
RGB color and 8 bits/Channel is selected.
After you make a selection around the stream and invert the stream, as long as the original waterfall layer is active, pressing Ctrl (Cmd) + J should cut and copy the stream onto its own layer.
