Fireflies need a natural environment and clean water, so they are regarded as an environmental indicator organism. In the 1980s, Taiwan's economy is getting better, but environmental pollution increases. Later, Taiwan's environmental awareness gradually increased, so in the past 20 or 30 years, many efforts have been made to restore Taiwan's beautiful ecological scene. Therefore, in April and May every year, there will be a series of firefly events in many places in Taiwan to remind people the importance of environmental conservation.
And what you had for dinner is mountain Qiang (山羌 ,Muntiacus reevesi). An animal that resembles a small deer. In the past, it was conservation animal and could not be hunted. Later, the environment improved and the number of wild mountain Qiang increased. Although it is no longer classified as a conservation animal, it is still protected. It should be hunted only by the indigenous people.
Your videos are great. I wish you a happy trip in Taiwan!

Place looks very safe to me. NOTHING matters if a place doesn't feel safe.

I am sooo relaxed after watching this.😶‍🌫 I love the way you go for the simple things rather than all the usual bangin' touristy stuff. You get the 'flavour' of each country's culture. 🥰

I've come to the conclusion that the areas that attract domestic tourists are often the best fit for family (marathon) travel. As always, great video 😊.

That's such a great way to put it-- it's taken us a surprisingly long time to come to that conclusion, but you're absolutely right! Thanks for watching!!

Be honest, for most of Taiwanese didn't know how to relax when they're traveling. Most of us are busy for visit more sights, eat more. Seldom to enjoy the hotel or resort. Like many of my friends always ask me what did i do to spend 1 week in a small island. You're a lovely family. Great to see u enjoy the stay here. As a local, i prefer the countryside life than city (because i live in Taipei )

Great day! Tiawan is not at the top of my list but it looks good! My step mom is from Taiwan, grew up eating dim sum and other great Chinese dishes like meatballs and broth. Looks very relaxing. And the food looked great for sure. Fresh veggies nice meat! 🥩 cheers guys!
