Hi Cysters, in today's video, I help you learn what causes PCOS and how you can start reversing your symptoms naturally! Let me know in the comments what your doctor told you when you were diagnosed with PCOS!

I feel ashamed and embarrassed that I have PCOS. We are told to lose weight which makes me feel it is my fault. When it started I remember telling my doctor that I am not eating enough to weigh so much but still told all I can do is lose weight. I am so ashamed of how I look and having PCOS.
I know how you feel, but please be compassionate towards yourself. You don’t deserve to be criticized or to feel bad about yourself. Yes, it’s a challenge and yes, I wish I didn’t have it, but the best we can do is to just accept it and move on. Take care of yourself ❤
I said the same thing! I don’t even eat enough to be gaining weight. I’m just gaining and still not losing. So I get it. I’m sorry you’re in this place too… :(
I understand how you feel. I'm praying for you, Friend. I get judgement constantly too. From literally everyone. We have to try to remind ourselves we're not alone and we don't need to be ashamed.
Girl, same. I barely eat and over the past four and half years I've gone from weighing 68kg to 113kg. All because I just wasn't eating the right foods. I've slowly started losing weight taking the right supplements for PCOS. I've never felt more uncomfortable in my skin than now.
Going vegan, dairy free, plant based, and gluten free led me from severely depressed, overweight, and undernourished, to reverse PCOS symptoms, regulate my period, lose 30 lbs and achieve an overall happier state of wellness. Thank you for sharing VITAL information, you are doing the world a service 🙏♥️
I cried when I first found out as my husband and I were trying for a baby and it was made out it wouldn't happen for us..... we have a 3 year old :) I do still struggle with sugar cravings, mood swings and weight gain.
now this is what i call a real doc! Kudos to you for taking on the classes for absolutely FREE you’re that god sent child for sure! I just registered to your masterclass for tuesday and am excited, also when i first diagnosed with PCOS i was not obese/overweight, and there’s literally no history of PCOS/Thyroid issues in our family so it’s not bc of the overweight/weight gain or even due to genetic factors, BUT i was severly suffering with poor mental health, issues like PTSD,anxiety and depression ALL AT A ONCE, the only way my doc concluded the reason behind my PCOS is hormonal imbalance and other environmental factors..By god’s grace, i should be able to change my life for good by all your tips.
I got first diagnosed with PCOS back in 2021 when I was 20 years old, 6 months after my father's death due to Covid and I was forced to stop going to college for family emergency reasons, and that caused me to stress more than usual now that I'm staying at home, still mourning the loss of my dad, after a while I noticed my period didn't come for nearly 3 months and I got worried thinking I'm dying or I'm suddenly pregnant even though I'm not married lol. When I found out from my doctor that it's PCOS I immediately felt ashamed and afraid that I caused this for myself and till this day I somewhat feel this way even though now I know it's not. So hearing that it's not my fault for it and I'm not alone struggling with this made me tear up, I never thought I'd see women commonly struggle with it, thank you for this channel and the content you provide for us ❤

@TA-mr3pe absolutely, I went to a holistic doctor and taking supplements like Omega 3, Magnesium, Vitamin D, Zinc, B12. I stopped eating dairy and now gluten free. Eliminated coffee and processed products. Organic meat like once a week, if that. Exercise regularly, yoga, plates, slow and weighted exercises. I also drink green tea and spearmint tea.
@@diosasymphony Thank you so much, I have gone gluten and dairy free, and have tried to incoproate healthy eating but my weight wont budge and doctors have said thats the only way my symptoms will improve. Can i ask when you said healthy eating, would that be mostly vegetables or did you add or eliminate something else? I really appreciate your help :)
I was diagnosed in November 2021. When I was first diagnosed my doctor had no deep explanation. I was not aware of what it really was until I started doing my own research. I was scared and crying a lot because I felt so lost, confused and worried about my health and what it meant. all I got from my doctor was it can be hard to conceive. I immediately started researching and came across you and a few others who really helped me and got me started on healthy ways to manage any symptoms I had. It’s still hard now and it’s a life long journey but I hope to just get healthier and healthier through out.
Same here. It was scary cuz the research i found was that it is lifelong and causes heart disease..which is great cuz i deal with ptsd and flashbacks of things i dont wanna remember...
I have most of the symptoms, except for the irregular periods. My periods are frequent and heavy. However, I do suffer from high testosterone levels, chronic fatigue, usually from about noon time, and weight gain around midsection, regardless of activity levels. Just been referred to Gynea and had a few tests done.
I was diagnosed at 18 and I remember feeling a loss of control, and that I was advised to lose weight and eat healthier due to the health risks with pcos. So I went home and just started eating raw veggies for days, I was nervous to eat meat because of the health ramifications. The doctor also told me it would be hard or not possible for me to have kids, and I cried over that.
My sister had PCOS and was told she would never have kids. She’s pregnant with her second baby now. I’ve heard a doctor say that if a woman still has her uterus, there is always a chance for her to have children. I pray God blesses you with your own children someday.
I actually have 2 kids, just found out I have lean PCOS... My periods were so irregular my husband called them semi-colons. 🤦🏻♀️ Wasn't bothering me till my hair started falling out. Love your channel! ❤️
I have PCOS and I remember how l felt when the doctor toid me it would be hard for me to conceive I now have 4 children very successful pregnancies God blessed me with use of herbs!..
I was just diagnosed, and I was told only two days ago, that "yes, you do have PCOS but we don't treat it unless you are trying to get pregnant, most women simply put up with it" most UK Drs won't bother doing the correct tests for anything, let alone something like PCOS. We can ask for specific tests. So we have to "simply put up with it" Don't worry doc , a woman with a fully growing beard a debilitating periods is totally normal!
I have PCOS and have symptoms like facial hair, cystic acne and weight gain. But its reversing by doing just 2 things in my life i do morning & evening exercise/ yoga/ meditation and i take a drink. I'm telling you how to prepare this drink: Take 2 glass of water and add following ingredients and boil it for 15 minutes on low flame. 1. Pinch of carrom seeds. 2. 1 tea spoon fennal seeds 3. 1 tea spoon cumin 4. 7-8 mint leaves. Take a glass of boiled cooled drink after any meal.
I was diagnosed at 16, because I had incredibly irregular periods with cycle that were like 2-4 months and bleeding inbetween periods due to low progesterone. First time my blood was checked, it came normal as I was on my period (which can sometimes affect results),so I decided to check again as I was still unsure and wanted to be in control and know more about my body. The second time, the doctor told me I have PCOS which I was unsure about but also relaxed because at least now I knew what was causing this problem, and how I can help it get it better
I have B12, D, folic acid and iron deficiencies, i decided to solve this first. I did an extensive research about vitamins and found the effective ones since I also have an absorbing problem in instestines. I also bought pregnance multivitamin because what i suffer from deficiency is alctually what they give for fertility or support pregnants. So I changed my strategy, i will get supplements like I am pregnant. I am also trying to improve bacterias in instestines because i have too many skin alergies, they might be causing inflamation, consuming vitamins and not produce them, and effecting my mood like I dont have mood problem because of PCOS. I probably cant absorb/use vitamins. I switched to high protein, reduced my stress because i have too high cortisol in body and my sympathic system is always active. Of course my body thinks that it is not the right time for cycles, geting a child etc because she thinks i have to fight/escape to survive now! And my body fat keeps producing oestrogen too high and i will take control of it. I am sticking my plan to solve this
I was diagnosed with PCOS when I reached 17 or 18. I got my first period at 16. My cycle is super irregular. I can stay months, once a whole year without having a period. She gave me the pill from then on. I am 32 now and I am tired. I tried to stop once but i was super uncomfortable and bloated for months and my hormones were all over the place so I started again. I really want to stop permanently and I'm so stressed out because I used to have a lot of chin hair (did some kind of laser removal that took most of it) and I am so scared for them to come back. I will try to follow these routine to see if a notice a change. But to be honest I tried cutting dairy and gluten. My problem I am a very picky eater as it is so now if I have to cut that to I don't know what I'll eat.
I have pcos and have taken progesterone for about 8 years which helps amazing I haven't had a period 7 months but I started drinking spearment tea and 4 days ago I started my period Should I keep drinking spearment ❤
I was told i was fat and the gynaecologist told me she wont help me unless i lose weight that its my fault disgusting but the tough love lead me to depression at first and then i went on slimming world
I have been obese all by life from childhood to now 21 years old, when I got diagnosed with pcos doctor told me that it will improve if I loose some weight, being fat for all my life, I still believe that It was my bad choices.
My doctor told me to use birth control and metformin. I am still in doubt if I will buy those meds or not because of the side effects that I have watched and I wanted it to reverse naturally. I am already on my 2nd week of no rice and sweets. I am also drinking myo inositol. Thank God because I don't feel any cravings now! I am praying that I will be PCOS free soon!!
Hi sister how are you my dear hope you’re doing good. I ask my self so many times what causes PCOS I watch you Chanel I get so many benefits on out PCOS you help me much appreciated ❤
My Story. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 25 (I'm 27 now) for not having 5/12 periods and I got worried. Went to the Gyno, did blood work, and she told me I had PCOS, she just told me that cysts grown on my ovaries and all I could do was take birth control or metformin and change my diet to lose weight. That's it. Oh, I forgot, she also told me that PCOS makes it harder to have kids so if that is something I wanted I better hop to it (as I just broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years, who I thought I was going to marry, 2 weeks prior to the appointment). Decided on Metformin bc I didn't want to mess with my hormones and felt more comfortable taking that bc my dad, who has diabetes, took it and could explain it to me since my gyno didn't. I have since stopped taking Metformin as yes it helped my periods stay on track but it made me feel constantly nauseated and bloated and will be seeing an endocrinologist in August to see if the supplements and Ovasitol I have been taking for almost a year are improving my PCOS symptoms and what the next steps are. You have also been a great help and I thank God that you were on my youtube feed soon after being diagnosed and encouraged me to do my own research
Thanks! First line is straight to birth control pill for hormone regulation without looking for a cause. I loved the theatrical representation 😂😂😂 hehe
What about hyperpigmentation what causes that and how to get rid of it, I have pcos, am not overweight,5’6 weigh 120lbs,it’s seems my face is producing pigmentation, I eat very clean sugar free gluten free, diary free.I eat fish veggies lentils, chiaseeed etc organic foods good Supplements. What can I do pls I need help regarding my hyperpigmentation
so when i went to my doctor she was just accusing me that its because of my lifestyle. im currently working with a graveyard shift and the doctor just told me that im young if she was the one to decide or if she was my mother she would not let me work grave yard shift. she said that, you need to have a day job first and change your lifestyle which i totally get it. she didnt prescribe any meds or anything she just straight forward preaching me how i should live my life. i mean i was raised with a single mother and it kinda tick me off how she said it. and she even suggested that my mother should have a check up with her as well so that they can talk. hahaha
I diagnosed with pcos 16 July 2023.. My age :22. But Weight 42 kg. Always do my Exercise since 2 yrs regularly. But Unfortunately I got this disaster. Pls pray for me. And I.have no thyroid diabetes.. Pls give me tips how i can Get rid from Birth control pills.. 😫
My doctor just told me i was fat and needed to do Keto. Keep in mind i had gained 80lbs in 6 months and became allergic to 8 new foods. My bestfriend and personal trainer came with me to the doctors and gave him a new one.
Everyone i know that has pcos including myself ddnt have fertility issues....i feel like i developed it after birth control i never had issues with weight before then i always had problems gaining
I mentioned PCOS to a gyno before. She didn’t want to look into it, because she didn’t think I had it. Another time a gyno told me that every woman has facial and body hair, and that it’s normal. A guy I dated said every girl he’s dated has had facial and body hair that they were embarrassed of. It makes me wonder, is body hair and facial hair normal for women without PCOS? By body hair, I mean nipple, happy trail, booty etc. Gyno said every woman has this and it’s normal. What’s the truth? Do most women just have undiagnosed PCOS? Or is it just normal and no one talks about it?
Hey Tallene..how did you manage your pcos so well..??? I was diagnosed 5 years ago and I suffer from every symptom you can think of..acne, hair loss, weight gain…how do you manage your pcos so well? I can’t get any relief from any of my symptoms..help I feel like I’m going to suffer from this forever..
When I was diagnosed, I was told to just start taking birth control. Thankfully, I refused. Around that time, I had some blood work done and found out I was pre-diabetic. No one ever told me that it was related to my PCOS. I had doctors literally roll their eyes at me when I told them I was pre-diabetic. When I looked up PCOS on the internet the article said that it could be caused by weight gain. Nothing was mentioned about insulin resistance. Fast forward to more recent times. My new gyno put me on metformin which made me feel like butt and didn't help me lose weight. I went to my GP to find out why I was always tired, and why I had so much fluid retension in my ankles, even with healthy eating and exercise. I was told it was because I needed to eat right, exercise and lose weight. 😡 I have a fairly active lifestyle without added exercise and my Dr's basicly kept telling me I was just fat and lazy.
What can you do if you are sure you have PCOS, but your test results come back normal? And because they come back normal, doctors don't want to know what symptoms you are going through and just say to lose weight, which I have so much trouble with doing
I was a skinny kid but when I got my periods since 16 yeaars old irregular periods issue happend they started giving me birth control so stupid and they kept asking me to diet when I didnt eat a lot anyway and once my worst consultation was when the ultrasound lady hit my belly pouch saying how did you grew it so fat first reduce dis den cyst will go it was so sad I wanted to cry but in 3 months taking dis as challenge i did diet n intermittent fasting mixed wid Keto n lots of salad and water intake 10k stepswalk went to same lady and she was surprise with my insulin results and cyst gone but den I got a toxic stressful sitting job where manager cudnt stand us see stand or away from desk and I moved my house I still worked out but couldn't focus on diet or walk much n gained all my weight again with 5 extra kgs period irregularities are back heaviest ever now even tho I never stopped working out so sad I cant keep diet changes forever I need a solution Also please share your daily routine so I can understand how I can incoperate if there is already a video add link your or the fellowviewers please help

hi lovely.. i was wondering how you felt about pea protein when ttc with pcos? there’s an article based on a study that was done years and years ago that has put me off consuming it but i miss my morning protein smoothie, so what is a girl to do!? 🌹🌹
Hi ,I am 24 years old and I have pcod and my doctor suggested me to take 21 days birth control pills toreduce my symptoms but I am trying to reverse symptoms naturally So my question is I kinda started to do seed cycling and is it OK to do seed cycling while I am taking the pills?
Hi Cyster.. I'm Rachana from India 🇮🇳😊 I have diagnosed with PCOS 3 months ago. I have tried few methods to lose weight. I have lost 17 pounds in a month by cutting down sugar but the cyst is still present in my recent scanning (I didn't go gluten free though). I'm using birth control pills prescribed by my doctor since 3 months. I have decided to go gluten and dairy free after watching your videos. I have few queries regarding this.. would you please help? Do I need to completely stop consuming Ghee and Curd too? Because, as Indians, we all always told to consume ghee and curd as they are good for health. As they are dairy products, do I need to stop eating them too? And for Insulin resistance do I need to stop consuming honey, jaggery, sugar cane juice? If yes, can I add Stevia instead in Juices?
Hi, I too have pcod. I am from Delhi. nd my doc told me following things to reverse pcos: Take myo-inotosol nd vit d3 nd b12 suppliment. Eat food on time. Home cooked food on time. Finish dinner by 8. Do 5 km walk everyday. Eat as much raw as possible. Do not take stress, she focused on stress management very much. And to fix sleep schedule. Sleep by 10-11 max. Nd wake up by 7. She didn't tell me to not consume milk etc. I also started using retinol to manage my acne and I am now cured of acne. I am having regular periods now. My exercise routine is not proper yet. And sometimes sleep schedule gets disturbed. But food and stress management helped me alot. I eat ghee on my roti and sometimes in daal etc. I also eat paneer on weekly basis too. Drink buttermilk etc. I do not like milk so I don't eat it. I also eat soy chunks once or twice a week. I have increased my protein intake too and reduced my carb intake. It is helping me to loose weight slowly. I have also included millets in my diet. Stress management, sleep, food and suppliment inotosol is really helpful. All the best.
@@bandanarathore Hi.. Can I know If you have PCOS or PCOS? Because both are different and also did you have cyst or something or you had irregular periods etc?
@@rachanakan hi. I had irregular periods, lot of hairfall and lethargy. I have pcod plus thyroid and have gained a lot of weight in 2 years (when I was undiagnosed). I have cysts too. Doc said I am in the early stages of pcod. I had cystic acne but it is not there anymore due to lifestyle change and retinol.
@@bandanarathorehey i hv lean pcos nd all these american vudeos i see they say cut dairy nd go gluten free which isn’t very possible for me as i could loose weight so can i hv milk nd curd, also what you did for hairloss??
@@alveerasmystery357 hi, I haven't cut daily or gluten as I never had any issues with them. However I do not like to drink milk at all. I drink milk coffee once a week. I eat curd and paneer regularly. Also as I improved my diet and sleep hair loss has become less. Please see video of channel maitri on pcos even the doc there has said no need for us to cut off dairy and gluten. I had acne in the beginning but as I started using retin A they went away, also healthy diet helped alot in it. Take soaked seeds and nuts in the morning for hair. Also my gynaecologist gave me myo-inotosol suppliment and vit D nd B12 which helped.
I had bad covid and after that I don't menstruate, I don't know if it's related, but I go to gynecologist and don't find pcis symptom in my usg result, then I prescribed hormonal pill for 3 month, I'm menstruatung again, and in month 6, I got surgery because I got huge lump on my breast. I was given primolut n to control the bleeding which worked. But please is this prolonged bleeding another symptom of PCOS. Pls someone help with this question i'm really depressed at this point please
Can someone explain to me whats going on. I've only been trying to do this for 4 days now but I just woke up without horrible body pains, I'm sleepy but I'm not groggy and out of it like I normally am and this is that first time since my oldest child was born that my back doesn't hurt. I know I'm doing things wrong but is it really possible for changes to start this soon. It kind of feels like a miracle 😅
Many Protein bars tend to have lots of sugar, so I would recommend keeping that in mind! I actually usually will make my own protein packed snacks, you can find them in The Cysterhood! (link is in the description 🥰)
There's no way I can give up my pepperoni and jalapeño pizza. 😫 Literally ANYTHING ELSE!! PS I blame my time in military service. This new diagnosis gave me flashbacks.

I have pcos so I’m not here to bash anyone.. but to say it’s not your fault then to say it’s due to the environment and insulin resistance.. well that is a contradictory statement. If you have insulin resistance then it’s because of your diet. I don’t think we need to be ashamed of that, but we do need to realize the real reason insulin resistance developed and therefore we can take the proper steps to reverse it
I was given metformin to get pregnant. Now I'm pregnant but I don't know if it was the metformin that worked or the Myo inositol I've been taking.. i stopped taking metformin when i got my positive test. I know u can't give medical advice but do you know if any mommas continue to take myo inositol when pregnant?
You’re right, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.

Frequent and heavy periods are irregular periods too
Thank you so much for this content. I’ve never understood PCOS so well and i was diagnosed 10 years ago
You're so welcome! Always here for you ❤️
I was diagnosed at 18 and I remember feeling a loss of control, and that I was advised to lose weight and eat healthier due to the health risks with pcos.
I'm so happy to be able to help! Your husband 🤣

So we have to "simply put up with it"
Don't worry doc , a woman with a fully growing beard a debilitating periods is totally normal!

Love you guys! Thanks for all the tips!
I am sticking my plan to solve this
This was sooo helpful. Thank you
I was diagnosed with PCOS when I reached 17 or 18.
Saw palmetto helps with the unwanted hair growth.
@elle_9136 Thank you I'll try it.

You are trying to reinvent the wheel. Please start with birth control and metformin and healthy lifestyle. Talking from experience.
I loved the theatrical representation 😂😂😂 hehe

so when i went to my doctor she was just accusing me that its because of my lifestyle. im currently working with a graveyard shift and the doctor just told me that im young if she was the one to decide or if she was my mother she would not let me work grave yard shift. she said that, you need to have a day job first and change your lifestyle which i totally get it. she didnt prescribe any meds or anything she just straight forward preaching me how i should live my life. i mean i was raised with a single mother and it kinda tick me off how she said it. and she even suggested that my mother should have a check up with her as well so that they can talk. hahaha

I blame myself for eating so much sugar and carbs for the last 3 years. 😢 I know it's genetic to though.
Thank you so much ❤

I have a fairly active lifestyle without added exercise and my Dr's basicly kept telling me I was just fat and lazy.
I m suffering from bad bloating , irritabilty and also irregular periods. I start taking inositol from 1 week. I feel facial flushing
Can you mention blood test to know what about pcos I have .

I was 17/18 when diagnosed. My doctor did nothing to help. (Im now 49!) Everything i know is self help.
What can you do if you are sure you have PCOS, but your test results come back normal? And because they come back normal, doctors don't want to know what symptoms you are going through and just say to lose weight, which I have so much trouble with doing

Hi Cyster.. I'm Rachana from India 🇮🇳😊
I have diagnosed with PCOS 3 months ago.
I am from Delhi. nd my doc told me following things to reverse pcos:
Take myo-inotosol nd vit d3 nd b12 suppliment.

Hey i am an indian ! Yours courses are sold in dollars ! How can i go with your journey
I have pcos so I’m not here to bash anyone.. but to say it’s not your fault then to say it’s due to the environment and insulin resistance.. well that is a contradictory statement. If you have insulin resistance then it’s because of your diet. I don’t think we need to be ashamed of that, but we do need to realize the real reason insulin resistance developed and therefore we can take the proper steps to reverse it
I have pcos without any insulin resistance! What are the other causes???
Inflammation, Adrenal fatigue, and Hypothyroidism are the other 3 root causes 💖
