this is nowhere near “it”. this is a couple minute clip of a space rock that’s in the first hour of the game. It’s an empty out of the way space rock that pirates set up an outpost on. There’s plenty of earth like planets with vast settlements and cities and numerous things to do. i don’t know why u dumb fucks keep acting like this one space rock is representative of all there is to do in this game. Honestly i just feel bad you hating dumbasses aren’t going to get to experience all the incredible things there are in this game
Yeah just disappointing.... I mean its good for a couple hours but meh after that idk and the fact you can't actually fly "your" ship 😂 hilarious... Using points on a map to land and guess what it's a loading screen... Nah im disappointed from the exploration
I’ve been playing for 6 hours now trying to find a reason to continue playing. All the planets have no life to it and the AI sucks so bad they have no personality.
For anyone watching, this is not representative of the entire game or even a decent sized chunk of it. Unfortunately this is the part of the game that I was looking forward to the most, hoping that there would be more dense and rich worlds with interesting vistas, serene rivers, beautiful wildlife mountains and canyons, all the wonders of our world but blown up and expanded on with a scifi theme. FORTUNATELY I learned from reviews and watching lots of coverage of the game that it's much more enjoyable if you focus on the stories and questing as they are by far Bethesdas best and I have to agree. You kind of have to play this game by it's own rules a little bit but once it clicks, its absolutely incredible. I now let the planet exploration come via quests instead of just wandering and picking a direction at random like I would in Fallout or a Elder Scrolls. So keep in mind there is a game to love here regardless of it not delivering on what I was most looking forward to.
Only people who will find this game amazing are game reviewers who get special treatment from this company,or anyone who has never played no mans sky..I am so mad I preordered this instead of mortal kombat 1 😡

exactly my thoughts. Don't get me wrong: I still waiting for Some Game which do mix of No Man's sky, Elite Dangerous, SC and Starfield, but for now I take the game for what it is. Great space RPG. It's like what if Mass effect had polished RPG elements (perks, more loot) and been set in open world procedural game.
@@HCforLife1 right. i think some people are missing the point which is Starfield is an entire bethesda game with handcrafted quests and cities and areas and planets. AND THEN there is an entire no mans sky esque gameplay loop on top of that. but some people are only playing the no mans sky gameplay loop and exploring some empty rocks in space and acting like that’s the whole game
The game is boring. Don't believe the hype. I'm 4 hours in and its been nothing but walking, pressing through dialogue, and dinking with the poor interface.
The vast majority of planets would ne incredibly boring to explore in real life, and you would never actually walk around an entire planet, or even moon. Not sure what people were expecting. This seems much more appropriate than NMS.
It's a fucking video game, not everything has to be realistic, some people want to immerse themselves into something enjoyable and be taken out of the realms of possibility, not keep it grounded and realistic, with high definition graphics and absolutely no exciting gameplay. I feel people like you have forgotten the reason Battlebit did so well, Starfield completely disregards any of that and decides to go the route that everyone is sick of: Graphics and design.
@@MCshadr217 I'm enjoying myself in Starfield, and find the planet exploration quiet and contemplative, which I imagine is true to life which I enjoy the idea of. Also looking forward to doing more with planets (outposts). If I were to make sweeping generalizations I'd say lots of people these days are just quick to whine and moan when something isn't exactly what they wanted. Bunch of children.
Also really have to laugh if anyone is playing a Bethesda game for the graphics - they have never been cutting edge in visuals. Starfield is okay looking don't get me wrong, but they don't lead that pack. Hilarious to even suggest.
I was expecting a fun game. You know, like their other games? Where they are unrealistically but pleasantly dense with content and interesting encounters? The only children here are people like you who treat companies like your parents. You are literally sitting here defending a game that you admit has boring exploration and last-gen graphics. Don't worry, when you grow up and have responsibilities you will realize that exploring "realistic" space rocks is not something you will be able to afford time on, and you will realize companies are not your family.
I am super disappointed with the release state but might wait for sales and couple of updates down the later years... Then definitely will buy.... Not worth the full price so far especially with how much hype they showed
this is one of the most polished and finished releases of a video game in like the last 5 years. AND it’s a bethesda game which makes that even crazier. no idea what game you played but my 3070 gpu and 5600x cpu has ran this game perfect on high graphics with only a couple of frame drops in the heavy populated areas.
after 2000+ hours of No Man Sky. I don't see anything innovative on the exploration aspect of the game. I can confidently say both games share a lot of mechanics. This game has obviously better movement, smarter enmies, and visual quality but other than that I feel like I'm watching a NMS gameplay.
At least No Man's Sky has in atmosphere flight and scanning from your ship, so you can land on points of interest instead of landing randomly then walking for 4 minutes straight. No Man's Sky also has lots of land vehicles. Sure you can make a valid point that No Man's Sky doesn't have a lot of exploration content, but I can confidently say No Man's Sky has a more seamless and enjoyable experience when it comes to travel.
No mans sky is not an RPG, from the storyline perspective, questing and looting - Starfield is lightyears ahead. No Mans sky is also a lot more cartoony game. Dungeons in no mans sky are the same - same bases with the same buildings sets. From my experience Starfield has a system to generate caves, outposts and other complexes - which is why locations will always vary. What NMS does a lot better and what SF is lacking is for sure the fact that you can explore planet by ship, driving vehicles or swimming! Also no loading screens (almost). From the other hand I found SF to be more various in terms of planetary surfaces and landing areas. Summarizing, SF is an RPG set in space with exploration and survival elements, while NMS is Survival game with deep exploration and marginal RPG elements. I spend few hundreads of hours playing No Man Sky. I probably sink in double of that into Starfield as I love RPG elements. Ideally I would like to have mix between NMS galaxy, realism of Elite Dangerous and deep RPG, looting and dungeon generation of Starfield.

Game is really really good for a bethesda rpg but i dont know why they overhyped so much things like exploration of Planets etc. It doesnt have no meaning, you cant even achieve something with it. There has to be a reward system worth grinding for. Why not make outpost building neccessary for war or that likes. Concour Starsystems and hold ground on them for a war questline. They couldhave go hardcore on it but decided to make most of their systems 'optional' to not overrun the casual player. All developements on ship building, weapon building etc can be aqquirred so fast and easy and are only capped by certain skill levels. The whole Story and quest part is really big and thought throuw but the actaul 'Gaming' part is what is really lacking on the beginning and only starts to drive up with later levels and some other things i dont want to spoiler. I wouldve loved to have a second type of speed for your spaceship to really get distance at least inbetween planets in a solarsystem. But the whole flying throu space part ist lacking also. There is no reason other then defending yourself from random enemy attacks or quests which force you to fly your ship. It doesnt matter how deep some of the mechanics are. But the gameplay loop has to be rewarding and is desperate to gain a bigger meaning for late game. There are games doing the same repetative things in a never ending rewarding way on which starfield couldve learned something from. One game i have in mind is the Mount and blade series. With a bigger economy drive and bigger fights, more challenge, the game could become easily 10 times better then it is.
