NO RAIN 🌂 NO RAINBOW 🌈 NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW is a song from BABYMETAL's second original album, METAL RESISTANCE, by SU-METAL. It has the same music structure as Legendary band X Japan 🇯🇵 "Endless Rain" but with a different arrangement. A tear-jerker when listening to "Mikio Fujioka" guitar solo because he's such a phenomenal guitar maestro gone too soon. This is special for Su and Moa especially Su because she got to perform in her hometown of Hiroshima. After the guitar solo, you can hear Su voice wavering as she tried to hide her emotion. Su owns this performance. Her facial expressions and mannerisms coincide with the song. The show at the Nippon Budokan for the 10th Babymetal anniversary is awesome. Information:- •Artist: BABYMETAL. •Album: METAL RESISTANCE. •Lyrics: YOSHIFU-METAL, Mk-metal, Nakametal. •Composition: Yoshifu-metal. •Arrangement: Ledametal. A su-Metal grandmother is a survivor of "hibakusha" of the Hiroshima bombings. You can hear Su-Metal voice wavering after the guitar solo. This concert is also without Yui Mizuno "Yuimetal" who withdrew from Babymetal due to a health hiatus and "Mikio Fujioka" last concert before his untimely death on January 5th of 2018 after suffering injuries from an observation deck fall while stargazing. It is 75 years since the US dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 August, leading to the end of World War Two. So you liked it then? Great reaction. This a a song Su performs very rarely. First time was in June 2013 at the Legend 1999 show. She wasn't entirely happy with her performance, she was concentrating most on getting the lyrics right and hitting the right notes, but she wasn't satisfied she was giving the song the emotion it deserves ... so it was not included on the first album. Su next performed the song at the Budokan in March 2014 - it was only when she saw people crying in the audience that she realised her voice could effect people so much. The song was on the second album, released in 2016 and she sang it for only the third time at the Tokyo Dome later that year. This video was from the Legend S Baptism XX shows in Hiroshima in December 2017. Su performed this song on both of the nights they played there. It wasn't until the 10 Budokan shows at the start of 2021 that Su would perform this song again at 2 of those shows ... and at those ones she moved across to a piano during the song and maybe even played a few notes.
Remember, you're in BabyMetal Foxhole here 🦊🤘 Another beautiful solo ballad from our queen SuMetal at her special 20 birthday at Legend S Baptism XX 2017 in her hometown Hiroshima. Also remember this is first concert without YuiMetal and last concert with Mikio Fujioka playing the guitar R.I.P. 🦊🤘❤️
Awesome reaction. Yes sir. You have just reacted to my favorite solo performance by the incomparable Suzuka. I am glad that this was the version you reacted to with the orchestra and Kami Band. And that stage. Just wow. Keep in mind that Suzuka had to not only sing but be cognizant of where and what she was doing and also follow the cadence. True professional. One of my favorite BabyMetal performances.
The beauty of this song is limitless, I have never heard anything like this from any other artist. Su delivers so much emotion through her singing and even the guitars sing.
At the time, Japan was hit by a massive earthquake and tsunami that left many families in despair. At that time, this song gave me hope and healing. She completed the song at the concert where this video was shot.
Great reaction, thanks! Yep, blown away, speechless, amazed... are common effects of Su-metal's solo performances. And this is one of the most special. The way she sings conveying the emotions flowing from the lyrics... it's just... it gets me every time. Very emotional and beautiful song, performed in a very special and difficult moment with even worse moments close to come. Rare song actually. They didn't perform it more because Su wasn't comfortable... and then she did THIS. I learned one thing: to never underestimate her. I believe she learned the same thing long time ago. Until next time!
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 We are moved by this song because we are human beings. Not necessary to read the lyrics. I am a Japanese but my nationality and literacy do not have distinct advantages to feel the emotion stirred by Su-Metal and Kamis. We are not just listening to a song but embracing celestial healings. Su's voice and Kami's guitars resonates with the bones in my whole body. This was filmed in 2017 and Su revived this song in the two last shows of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan last year with more matured voice. As an eyewitness of both shows at the venue, I can tell you that it was literally heartbreaking and made me forget to breathe. This 2017 version, however, may be still the best performance although BM always say "the latest is the best".
Heart breaking; yes. Made me forget to breath; yes. I wish I could explain it, but I can’t. Simply a Goddess I would follow anywhere. Long live the Queen! Arigato.

⚡ / ☂ 🌈 Even though this song had its debut back in 2013 at 'Legend 1999', it has only been performed live seven times, and never outside of Japan. Kami Band guitarist Leda Cygnus is officially credited with the arrangement of this song. He also played guitar and bass on the studio version. Leda was on stage the first three times the song was performed. This footage is from the 'LEGEND S - BAPTISM XX' concerts, held December 2nd and 3rd, 2017. These were the first BABYMETAL performances ever in Hiroshima, Su's birthplace and home prefecture. They celebrated Su's 20th birthday, which is an especially important one in Japan. This was also Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka's last appearance with BABYMETAL. They have a close-up on him during this part: "Nidoto ae-nai kedo, wasure-naide itai yo." (We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever.) Mikio passed away on January 5th, 2018, before the video was released. The introduction just before this song refers to the bombing of Hiroshima, Su's home prefecture, and the location of these two concerts. DESPAIR 『絶望』 "The bright beam of light That wiped all light from the world Also ceased people's light of hope The skies turned dark And endless rain fell upon the people Who had lost all of their light and hope But endless rain doesn't exist And the people hope of black skies to clear out So the heavens can restore the light that had been lost They hope to discover that there's happiness at the end of sorrow And they pray for light of hope to return to them." (This intro was added for these two concerts. That doesn't mean the song was originally written to be about those events, just that they were drawing a connection for these two special shows in Su's home prefecture of Hiroshima.) The last line of this song is: "An endless rain fills my heart, forever." That's considered to be a reference to the X-Japan song 'Endless Rain'.

This is why I call this young lady a queen! She has the looks, the talent and a presence which is outstanding. And together with the instrumental!?... Yes, BM has some outstanding songs and performances, but not many of them get under your skin like this. At least there is one more, that is no less impressive, and maybe even more tear-jerking. The Song is called "Akatsuki (Unfinished Ver.)" from their Legend 1997 show, which took place the day after Su's 16th birthday in 2013. You can find the video on the channel of the user NhatHuyNguyen. There are plenty of metal singers that has power and range (Floor or Tarja), but Su's the only one that makes you feel the song... hearing her voice slightly cracking, the moist look in her eyes, and the blue lights makes you feel the sadness in the song, but when the light turns red, you can see the change in the look of her eyes and the Queen is back. Totally awesome performance.🤘🦊🤘
Better not compare. It makes a flower look too frail. And a tree too sturdy. That's the mind, trying to put labels on everything. And by doing this, never adding to beauty.

Su said I was a song (not a singer) when a child . I accepted it .

Why can't I sleep
どうして眠れないの?
Why is the night over?
どうして夜は終わるの?
I don't need anything, even tomorrow
いらない 何も 明日さえも
A future without you
君がいない未来
Why were you laughing?
どうして笑ってたの?
Why? I was lonely
どうして? 寂しかったのに
Nobody knows it's just
誰も 知らない 本当はただ
I wanted you to be by my side
そばにいて欲しかった
Even despair becomes light
絶望さえも 光になる
Even if it keeps raining
止まない雨が 降り続いても
Even despair becomes light
絶望さえも 光になる
Sad rain casts a rainbow forever
悲しい雨が 虹をかけるよ どこまでも
I can't see you again
二度と会えないけど
I want to remember
忘れないでいたいよ
If your dreams continue, don't wake up
夢が続くなら 覚めないで
Why were you laughing?
どうして笑ってたの?
Why? I was lonely
どうして? 寂しかったのに
Nobody knows it's just
誰も 知らない 本当はただ
I just wanted to meet you
会いたい それだけだった
Even despair becomes light
絶望さえも 光になる
Even if it keeps raining
止まない雨が 降り続いても
Even despair becomes light
絶望さえも 光になる
Sad rain casts a rainbow
悲しい雨が 虹をかけるよ 今も
The unstoppable rain will fill my heart forever
止まない雨が こころ満たすよ いつまでも
