Great reaction to this beautiful song and performance. RoadRunner already explained how Su wasn't happy she was understanding or expressing the emotions of this song well enough when she first performed it, so it wasn't included on the first album. It was only when she saw tears in the audience that she appreciated her voice could effect people emotionally - it was included in the second album. I think Su's solos you have yet to see are 'Akatsuki' (you saw the unfinished version, not sure you've seen the full version) and 'Amore' (my own favourite of her solos). She also did a couple of special one-off covers for her 15th and 16th birthdays - 'White Love' and 'Tamashii No Rufuran' respectively.
Nice one, thanks! Beautiful song and impressive live performance. "Legend S - Baptism XX" were very special two in a row concerts in Hiroshima, Su's hometown to celebrate her 20th birthday. This was the first time they performed without Yui and the last time Mikio performed with BABYMETAL (he passed away few weeks after this concert). So all these emotions are added to the already sad lyrics. The song debuted back in 2013 but Su (being just 15 at the time) wasn't happy with her performance because she was more focused on hitting the correct notes rather than expressing the emotions flowing from the lyrics. To the point they didn't include it on their first album in 2014 and only played it three times till this concert date in December 2017. But, as you can see, she finally made this song hers. Well, she actually nailed it! They performed this amazing song again twice this year at the Budokan concerts. Until next time!
NRNR is one of the songs I can't listen without crying. Great reaction! A few fun facts: at the line 'we shall never meet again' the camera pans at Mikio who soon died after this concert. Legend S Baptism XX was Su's 20th birthday concert and the first concert without Yui. The concert happened in Hiroshima, Su's hometown and if I remember correctly this song was also dedicated to the people who died in the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And you can even see at one point Su almost breaking character, looking like she's about to cry mid song before the second chorus which will always get me. EDIT: if you want more solos you can check out Akatsuki from Budokan 2014 (there's also the 10BM Budokan version on ok ru, but who knows if this one can get passed on youtube without heavy editing) the other is Amore which is on the list, I think either Tokyo Dome or Wembley.
This is my favourite Babymetal song. No matter how many of their other songs I listen to this one has been the one for me for the past 5/6 years since I first heard it. Plus in this version you can really hear the emotion in Su's voice when it wavers during the last verse after the instrumental, and see the tears start to well up in her eyes. Its a song you can see she definitely gives it her all.
I‘m a sucker for good ballads, and this one pushes all the right buttons for me. The vocals, the guitars, the piano, the lyrics, the emotion, and - most importantly in this version - Su‘s eyes… it‘s all perfect.
Su's performance of this song just gets better with age. My favorite is from the 10 Budokan series where they incorporated a long "moment of silence" into the song, presumably for the victims of the pandemic. That and the visual presentation with the lighting and piano really hit home for me.
32 years ago, the greatest Japanese band ever, X-Japan, had a song titled "Endless Rain". This song is part tribute to both that song and that band. If you choose to react to it, it is "Endless Rain" from the "The Last Live" concert.
WoW! Fantastic. I'll randomly wake up with this song stuck in my head, even if i haven't heard it in a while. Excellent reaction. Glad to see you seem to be feeling better.
This song brings a certain meaning to me because she was born in Hiroshima. To me, the lyrics of this song remind me of the "radioactive black rain" that fell after the atomic bombing. Her family died because of the bomb. There is one thing I would like you to know about Hiroshima. I am Japanese, but I have never heard that the people of Hiroshima have a grudge against the people who dropped the bomb. However, the people of Hiroshima want the world to know how horrible the atomic bombing was.
Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 We are moved by this song because we are human beings. I am a Japanese but my nationality and literacy do not have distinct advantages to feel the emotion stirred by Su-Metal and Kamis. We are not just listening to a song but embracing celestial healings. This was filmed in 2017 and Su sang this song in the two last shows of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan this year (April 14 & 15) with her more matured voice. I am sure many fans saw it in the online world premiere program. As an eyewitness of both shows at the venue, I can tell you that it was literally heartbreaking and made me forget to breathe.
NO RAIN 🌂 NO RAINBOW 🌈 NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW is a song from BABYMETAL's second original album, METAL RESISTANCE, by SU-METAL. It has the same music structure as Legendary band X Japan 🇯🇵 "Endless Rain" but with a different arrangement. A tear-jerker when listening to "Mikio Fujioka" guitar solo because he's such a phenomenal guitar maestro gone too soon. This is special for Su and Moa especially Su because she got to perform in her hometown of Hiroshima. After the guitar solo, you can hear Su voice wavering as she tried to hide her emotion. Su owns this performance. Her facial expressions and mannerisms coincide with the song. The show at the Nippon Budokan for the 10th Babymetal anniversary is awesome. A su-Metal grandmother is a survivor of "hibakusha" of the Hiroshima bombings. You can hear Su-Metal voice wavering after the guitar solo. This concert is also without Yui Mizuno "Yuimetal" who withdrew from Babymetal due to a health hiatus and "Mikio Fujioka" last concert before his untimely death on January 5th of 2018 after suffering injuries from an observation deck fall while stargazing. It is 75 years since the US dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 August, leading to the end of World War Two. Those who survived the bombings are known as "hibakusha". Survivors faced horrifying aftermath in the cities, including psychological trauma. Also, I know would be hard song to react to so up to you when you like to do it and also thanks again for making genuine reactions.
10BM Budokan can be tricky to react to since they're a recent release. I know From Dusk Till Dawn in on here. But Akatsuki, NRNR or Onedari Daisakusen might get blocked. But I don't think anyone actually tried to use them

The range of songs that BABYMETAL can create *and perform* with such quality is astonishing. No Rain No Rainbow is without a doubt the most emotional and beautiful ballad I've heard. The only comparable song I can think of is Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, which is very beautiful, but it evokes no emotional response from me in neither lyrics nor delivery. No Rain No Rainbow is perfection to my ears. Su's vocal and stage performance is impeccable and those guitars SING. My eyes lose it every time, I should get a life jacket before I cause a flood.

Why can't I sleep
どうして眠れないの?
Why is the night over?
どうして夜は終わるの?
I don't need anything, even tomorrow
いらない 何も 明日さえも
A future without you
君がいない未来
Why were you laughing?
どうして笑ってたの?
Why? I was lonely
どうして? 寂しかったのに
Nobody knows it's just
誰も 知らない 本当はただ
I wanted you to be by my side
そばにいて欲しかった
Even despair becomes light
絶望さえも 光になる
Even if it keeps raining
止まない雨が 降り続いても
Even despair becomes light
絶望さえも 光になる
Sad rain casts a rainbow forever
悲しい雨が 虹をかけるよ どこまでも
I can't see you again
二度と会えないけど
I want to remember
忘れないでいたいよ
If your dreams continue, don't wake up
夢が続くなら 覚めないで
Why were you laughing?
どうして笑ってたの?
Why? I was lonely
どうして? 寂しかったのに
Nobody knows it's just
誰も 知らない 本当はただ
I just wanted to meet you
会いたい それだけだった
Even despair becomes light
絶望さえも 光になる
Even if it keeps raining
止まない雨が 降り続いても
Even despair becomes light
絶望さえも 光になる
Sad rain casts a rainbow
悲しい雨が 虹をかけるよ 今も
The unstoppable rain will fill my heart forever
止まない雨が こころ満たすよ いつまでも
