I really enjoy watching Waffen SS videos. Couple of questions. Where did you get your buildings? And do you paint your men and tanks yourself?

@@TexasBoltAction no problem, just force urself to think of it until it becomes routine. The soviets had a strong defence line standing. Katyusha was also lucky. With multiple launchers its that sometimes they're great and sometimes the just don't hit anything. Also why did u tow a medium mortar?
Tomorrow I will watch the 850 operatives battle report while painting my British airborne.

Interesting game. Do the attacking force get higher points in these games ?

    • @TexasBoltAction

Kili121416 sometimes. Just depends on the scenario I put together. In this case I wanted lots of German armor and vet troops since there was little to no cover on the approach.

Hi there. Your battle reports are great (although far less frequent than your output over the last two years) and I hope you are still getting enjoyment out of this beautiful game.
I have watched your battle reports over the last two years and I've been entertained a great deal and learnt so much extra nuance about the game. Thank you for that
Being in self quarentine of late, and having less to do than usual, I've started assembling more mini's and I've been rewatching many old battle reports like your stuff, TableTopCP, Wahoo, Tabletopbattle etc.
Which led me to scrutinise the Russian and German lists you fielded in this game, which are I assume was run under 2nd Ed rules, and I have some queries/questions for you:
The Russian list, as visually and verbally presented comes to 1014 pts (or thereabouts) , not the 1250 claimed. Now I have reverse engineered it,
and by cutting the officer to inexp and ditching his buddy and losing an SMG here and and there in the Tank Hunter and Guards Squads you can get it to 1000 pts (let's call that option 1),
Or you can make the officer (and buddy) , and all the AT Rifle Teams, and Tank Hunter Teams, and all the LMG Squads and Guards Squads veterans (just leaving the Mortar and Katyusha as regular) , which will get you to 1250.
So which is it/what did you guys actually field. If it's 1000 pts of Russians then the game is even more outstanding because..................
A tally on your German list as verbally and visually represented (vet fanatic SS of the prescribed numbers , regular Hanomags and regular Pz-3 and 4's , and the double LMG in your one Squad, and regular truck and Med Mortar comes to well over 1600 pts.
I hope you get this message and feel sufficiently intrigued to respond and throw some light on the matter.
    Keep up the outstanding work.
    Gordon

Gordon John Smith I don’t remember the exact lists but I likely took a really loose approach. The idea was just to throw some armies down that would create a cinematic experience for the vids. The forces were often very mismatched and I always fudged a few points here and there. Everybody always had fun regardless! It was way back before BA was as competitive as it is now. Glad you are enjoying the vids! Hope I can make more soon for ya!
