Great review mate will definitely check this out and to be fair unless you’re into NSBM it’s not genre you will stumble into. The fear of being offended often outweighs the music on show. Happy New Year. Greetings from Ulster.
I commented then UA-cam filtered it out and removed it immediately, - probably because of some words in Mikko Aspa quote - couldn't be funnier lol. Sorry if I'm commenting twice. Thank you Jerry for covering these bands for reviews, interviews etc. Also they try to label Sielunvihollinen as NSBM just because of anti Islam lyrics. They wouldn't say a thing if they had changed Allah to God. Gotta love this logic hah.
Yeah, that might happen. YT also filters out a lot of toxic behavior and ad hominem kind of shit so I can't be angry about it. But it is what it is: their service, their rules. These videos are also going to Odysee if you want to prefer that platform instead. And you're than welcome to cover all topics on Rauta's discord server.
Anti-Islam lyrics will often trigger accusations about racism, that much is true, but with Sielunvihollinen, that is hardly the sole basis for "them" labeling the band NSBM. For one thing, Sielunvihollinen have played at very "shady" events, like a private gig alongside NSBM bands celebrating the Führer's birthday. You'd have to be dumb not to understand that those sorts of associations might not be okay with a lot of people even in black metal circles, whether you are a raging nazi yourself or not. 😄 (Just pointing out, don't care much about the band or their ties.)
Gamma: very true. They made some foolish decisions with gigs and events to play live. Same with some other Finnish bm bands that are not nsbm as such, but chose their company in such ways that not all festivals accept them any more. That in turn means the only events to play at are of ns nature and as such those bands will then head there as there is no other way.
That is very true - especially in extreme metal. A lot of bands, if you read the lyrics or interviews, seem to think this way. Especially in black metal and death metal.
@@RautaMetal I think so-called non-political people just misinterpret the word politics. They live in the delusion that politics mean only what they see on the TV or simply count it as a synonymous for corruption. Actually politics is much more vast term, which covers morale, culture, religion, ethics, social relations, economy, war, peace, laws etc. It is after all philosophical term and everything that surrounds you can be related to politics. Even nature. So to call yourself apolitical means that you just don't give a f*ck about everything, which is impossible. Satanism also has political aspect - it is against the most common religion in the world. I'm saying this because I see too many people which are saying they are apolitical and in the same time they have established opinion of many political questions like nature preservation, taxes, religious denominations, minorities etc.
This is true. When it comes to politics and philosophy everything can be seen like that. Also saying apolitical can be said without meaning everything. Like I don't vote. I don't take part I party politics. That's my political stand.
Most NSBM bands I've heard are very mediocre (at best) therefore the genré (likewise) doesn't hold my interest. I don't give a shit about any politics. Metal is not for politics. The exceptions are some Polish bands which (for some reason) seem to be the best sounding in terms of talent / production. I care not to mention the band's by name as I'm not into promoting any NSBM. It's a weak genré (in terms of music) in my opinion. Cheers to you Jerry! All the best in 22! 🤘😎
Walknvt, wolfnacht, totale vernichtung, aktion t4, Aryan art, kristallnacht, necropole, kaevum, peste noire, absurd, goatmoon, sturmgewehr, Aryan blood, gbk, seigneur voland are just a few of the top of my head that are way above average in my opinion
Good review, gotta get this one.
As soon as I saw the cover I thought it was from two runes haha. Great review as always! ;)
Thank you!

Happy New Year!
Careful Rauta, you’re going to offend an overweight universalist heathen who’s watching this sitting in front of his rainbow Thor’s hammer flag
😀 make black metal dangerous again. Maybe I should review new Napalm Death soon to even things out.
Looks good
and dangerous!
@@RautaMetal Yikes😬
😎
Imma listen to this split asap. Great review.
Thanks.
You are brave for even covering these bands. Good on you. Anything to the right of Mao these days is verboten.
Rauta is making UA-cam dangerous again.

@@RautaMetal Oh yes I created Odysee account when you made a video about it. I am on Rauta Discord server but I'm barely active on Discord in general.

Sounds interesting, will definitely check it out!
i remember when ehre was just a small unknown project without really any releases, very happy to hear him get talked about here!
Cheers!
I don't speak Finnish, I just like the screaming
"when a band claims not to be political, they mean they have no interest in anything that surrounds them" - Gelal
Cannot agree more.

Yt seeing that black sun on the thunbnail: 🔥😎👌🏻🥵
I marked this video to be controversial.
Ehre is such an awesome band
love it when ns bands worship countries they arent even from hahaha. thats the classic ns logic i know and love!
I guess you don't know Finland was friendly with Germany during WW2. They fought against Russians invading their small country.
Exactly 😀
S K: true, but Finland also fought nazi Germany later on.
@@RautaMetal I guess that whatever the musician feels best fits his own personal feelings about history.
Exactly
I just finished listening to this. I agree black sun disciple is the best band on here but overall the album was underwhelming and pretty dull.
Exactly. Like said: 6/10
