I've owned the TH9c version for over 3 years now and have had zero issues. Around 4,000 of whatever ammo was cheapest. Not even a misfire or jam. Wonderful gun. Reliability and longevity are outstanding, with mine anyway.
Really late to this video. Very informative. Just picked up a taurus th40 and so far, very impressed with it. I have the tx22 and they both feel great in the hand.
Perfect handgun for beginners / advanced shooters. I have a Glock and a S&W. I have more than 500+ runs almost every type of ammo. Only had a hand full of hiccups
To stop that rattling put a piece of electric tape across the bottom of the mag but do not go all the way around it or on the back of the mag , problem fixed. Did this with my G2c it worked perfectly.
I’m still looking for it here in our country. They only have the TH9 C. I don’t know why our Gun Store don’t have that kind of pistol. Philippines has a very strict gun laws. You should undergo every examination before you can have one… I hope guns stores here can purchase it in USA or Brazil someday…
I had the pt809 a few years ago and sold it. Always regretted it and the guy won't sell it back to me. I just ordered this in black from grab a gun for 312.00 I should have it tomorrow after work. I already know it's a fine gun. I think I'm gonna put it in my go bag/bug out bag.....
Tell me why it wouldn’t be as reliable as a Glock smith & wesson or an sigs ? Taurus is a great budget firearm that runs just as well as its competitors. In fact!! It actually runs better in my opinion. Not to mention, it’s a great fit for people with large hands.
Dont get me wrong, these newer Taurus pistols are awesome and I feel would serve you well… There is no comparison though with a Glock, S&W or Sig… The long history of those brands is undeniable… Taurus really just started making really good pistols, what, maybe 6 to 8 years ago?
Damien Taggart No it doesnt rattle... Only when you hold it like I did in the video... Turns out a couple other pistols I have do it also... Not an issue... Great inexpensive pistol
Hey man. please please! Can you tell me how to adjust the front site on the TH9. It looks like it has some kind of L key that needs to be loosened. But I have tried. 1.5mm and 1mm doesn't fit.
@@gunsammodrones so i went to the gun shop today to find out the th9 does not accept pt 809 magazine's but the pt 809 will take the th9 mags kind of strange but its interesting
Most of these videos were shot pre pandemic when gun prices were much lower… I bought most of my guns from Gunbroker.com… Most of the prices now are much higher
323geoh1 You should be able to use any laser on the market... Viridian makes the best but the price will reflect that... There are cheaper options that will work... Firefield and ADE are options also...
foxopossum Its a great first gun for a female on a budget... Its a full size gun though if you have small hands it might be a bit big... Taurus does however make the TH9C which is the smaller version which might be better... Same quality just smaller... Easier to conceal too... I dont have the TH9C so maybe I should get it and review it...
tiago tj If that is your only option then you are doing just fine... Im sorry you dont get to experience more from other manufacturers but at least you have a great reliable fun handgun...
Considering the job a hammer does, I dont believe anyone would make a plastic hammer but who knows... The TH9’s hammer is skeletonized to reduce weight...

Unfortunate Dave Im very impressed with Taurus lately... Literally just ordered the TX22 right before this comment

I got the same Taurus in all black i payed 300 at the gun store for it and it’s worth every dollar i spent
Tre’s Lyrics Its a fantastic pistol... Taurus did good with this one
I've put 2000 rounds through mine, smooth is an understatement....
👍🏼
Can´t decide between this or the Bersa TPR9 full size for the best budget full size 9mm gun.
@@exionem Taurus is more comfortable

The TH9C is still an awesome gun and will feel very similar for you… Good luck
Im in the philippines. Meron sila th9 dito. Try mo sa trusttrade.
After cleaning your pistol add a light coat of gun oil to the slide. Wipe it on with a microfiber towel.
This helps with the scratches on the finish.
Yeah, I always wipe down the slide… For sure

Great gun
I wish they had a threaded barrel for the th9
That would be great
When you walk with it on your hip does it rattle?
Look for a good 9mm 17+1 right?
Damien Taggart No it doesnt rattle... Only when you hold it like I did in the video... Turns out a couple other pistols I have do it also... Not an issue... Great inexpensive pistol
17+1
Damien Taggart Ill also recommend the G3... Really nice gun and feels like a single stack
@@gunsammodrones thanks man I appreciate it
Mu mag on mine same thing little rattling
Im sure its a common thing
Glock has similar rattle sound. It the nature of most double action.
Tiberius I havent noticed loose mags in my Glocks but I found a couple others that do it too... No big deal I guess... Hell of a gun
Slipped a couple produce rubber bands on each of the mags got rid of the rattle on mine👍

I havent tried to remove it... It looks tough
You need a 1.3 mm Torx wrench !!
I got the taurus pt 809 they look exactly the same i wonder if the magazine's would be interchangeable i guess i have to buy a th9 to find out
captain spaulding Im not sure but you would think they would fit... I bought an 809 holster for the TH9

captain spaulding they don’t look exactly the same. The 809 has a different grip
Is the trigger plastic? Or metal?
Metal
@@gunsammodrones wow! Thanks man, didnt know you reply this fast. Definitely subscribed!!
I try man
PMS is selling 'em for $280, at this time. Still a good deal.
Given the gun sales climate thats still a deal for this quality pistol... Im a big fan
Saw it at a gun store. About 335 it was. In a matt black.
335 seems a bit steep
$278 on Gunbroker.com
I just want to know where you’re finding these great prices.

Guns, Ammo & Drones Excellent. Thank you for your prompt reply!!
This is the pistol my wife learned to shoot with and to this day is one of her favorites...1300+ rounds with No malfunctions.
I have almost 1,000 rounds no problems
Awesome
Hammer fired guns are ALWAYS more reliable than striker fired guns. Such as a Glock
Konner Kuntz I enjoy my Glocks reliability but this Taurus is a real nice pistol...

is the only option here in Brazil

Could you do a review of TH40? 😊
Have no plans on getting the .40... The 9 is the same size and looks the same...
We really don't care that you are sitting next to the pool in Florida.....go inside and get out of the wind.
Tom Scherf haha I hear ya
Is this a single double action? I just ordered one 😉 is the trigger good?
must know Info Good trigger... double action
